Chapter 7 Sentenced to Death

There was a flash of guilt on Mom's face.

However, she soon regained her confidence and self-righteousness.

"I don't care! I gave birth to you. I gave you life! I am taking that life back and telling you to die in Alex's place. It's only right!"

My heart went cold.

She did give me my life, but she did not raise me for long.

Even if I owed her anything… I repaid the debt in full in my last life.

I looked at her as my voice took a mocking tone. "Wake up. The evidence is clear and points to Alex as the murderer. How great do you think you are to make the police believe that I did it?"

That rendered her speechless. Still, she refused to believe me and forcefully dragged me to the police station.

Once there, she dragged an officer on duty aside to shove me at him.

"She killed him! My son is innocent!"

The officer was startled. When he registered what she said, he looked at her like she was an idiot.

"Arrest her now and release my son! He's innocent!"
