I parked the car in front of 7/11 and swiftly stepped out, heading towards the store to buy some alcohol. It had slipped my mind that we had run out of it at home, so I decided to make a temporary stop at the convenience store. Besides, my house was just a stone's throw away, making it a quick and easy trip.

After making the purchase, I emerged from the convenience store, standing in front of the glass door of 7/11. As I inspected the drinks in my hand, something caught my attention. I turned my gaze towards a parked car not far from the gate of my house.

Well, that's rather odd.

I hadn't noticed that car earlier.

Curiosity piqued, I peered at the car several meters away from me, as well as from the entrance of my home. A sudden chill coursed through me with the evening breeze, colder than before. I glanced at my wristwatch, noting the time.

"Exactly eight in the evening. That explains it," I mumbled to myself, nodding in acknowledgment before striding purposefully
