MARIANNE

I opened my eyes in the morning and rolled off my bed, stretching as I took in the light filtering through the curtains. It had been a while since I slept so soundly. Perhaps it was because I had gone to bed earlier than usual, or maybe it was the sense of purpose I felt knowing what I had planned for the day.

After brushing my teeth and washing my face, I stepped out of my room in search of Troy. It was strange how much I now craved the attention he used to give me, the playful teasing that once felt intrusive had become something I unconsciously longed for.

I had been the one who insisted he stop flirting and saying things that made me blush. I told him to keep it professional, to focus on the mission. Yet now, as he respected my wishes, I realized how much I had enjoyed his seduction. Without even realizing it, I had grown fond of the way he looked at me, the sly comments that would make me smirk despite myself.

Yesterday, I had even asked an unbelievable question—

MARIANNE With a sigh, I dropped my bag on the floor and changed into more comfortable clothes. I then checked online and bought the exact same outfit I had worn on the night I attacked Britney and Tony, down to the specific brand of cologne I had used. I also purchased the correct size for Mildred, making sure every detail was perfect for what I had in mind. Afterward, I contacted Bob—a reliable guy who had been handling errands for me for quite some time. We had never met in person. I communicated with him exclusively through a burner phone and paid him in Bitcoin. This way, he could never trace me, although I knew every detail about him, right down to where he ate his lunch. Once the purchase was complete, I forwarded the receipt to Bob and instructed him to collect the clothes, spray them with the cologne, and wrap them up neatly. “Who should I deliver this to?” Bob asked once he had finished packing the items. “Before you make the delivery, there’s something else I need

MARIANNE I clutched my stomach as it grumbled more loudly. "I'm so hungry," I whispered to myself, feeling the emptiness gnaw at me. Suddenly, a thought lit up in my mind. "Wait... we have a refrigerator in the living room too." Hope surged within me, and I scrambled to my feet, rushing toward it with newfound energy. As I opened the fridge, I was astonished to find three neatly packed meals, all beautifully arranged. My heart skipped a beat when I saw the note attached to one of the containers. It read, "I figured you'd be hungry and it would be risky to order breakfast. That's why I made this for you. Microwave and eat as much as you want, whenever you feel hungry—Your husband, Troy." Tears filled my eyes as I read the note. How could a man be so thoughtful, so attentive, and so irresistibly attractive all at once? I couldn't help but smile. The fridge in the kitchen only held fresh ingredients, nothing ready to eat. Troy must have anticipated that I wouldn’t want to step into t

  • EX-WIFE'S REVENGE   JUST THE BEGINNING

SHARONTWENTY-FOUR HOURS EARLIERI woke up to the soft glow of morning light filtering through the curtains and stretched my arms, letting out a small yawn. My eyes wandered to Britney, and to my surprise, I saw tears streaming down her face. She was crying—quietly, yet intensely. I sat by her bedside, staring at her. Her eyes were red and puffy, swollen from what seemed like hours of weeping. A sense of unease crept into me as I watched her, but I pushed it aside.I didn’t understand why her tears stirred something complicated inside me. Perhaps it was a reminder of the fragility of life, or maybe it was the quiet suffering reflected in her sobs. Still, I couldn’t afford to dwell on that now. No matter how her pain tugged at my conscience, I had been hired to do a job, and I was determined to see it through to the end. Compassion would not serve me here.“Take it from someone who has been through a lot in life,” I said coldly, my voice devoid of the empathy she sought. “Crying solve

SHARON I made my way to the bed and threw myself onto it, the weight of my thoughts pressing down like an invisible burden. Closing my eyes, I tried to imagine what my life would be like once I was done with my mission. Freedom. Money. No more going hungry. I was going to walk away with more money than I'd ever dreamed of, more than all the money I had made while being an escort combined. My brother, the only family I had left, was still in high school, and he was never going to want for anything again. I would give him the very best—the education, the life, the opportunities I never had. I would ensure he didn’t have to struggle like I did, didn’t have to fight for survival every single day the way I had since I was his age. I didn’t know how long I slept, but when I opened my eyes, the warm glow of the evening sun filtered through the curtains. Britney was still in her wheelchair, exactly where I'd left her. Of course, where else could she go? I yawned, stretching lazily a

  • EX-WIFE'S REVENGE   TONY!!

SHARON Britney once again became agitated and began struggling to speak. I chuckled lightly, "Relax! Can't you take a joke? Why are you getting so worked up over a man who is making plans with his mistress to get you out of his life? You must love him so much. That’s the only logical explanation. I bet his ex-wife, Marianne, loved him just as much, while you enjoyed his attention as his mistress, just like Mildred is doing right now. Do you feel hurt by your husband's actions? How dare a hypocrite like you harbor such feelings?" The sound of the door opening told me that Tony was back. I quickly left the room and went to the kitchen, returning the plate I had used and pouring myself a glass of juice. Afterward, I left the kitchen and headed to the living room. I looked around, but there was no sign of Tony. "I guess he has gone to bed," I thought, heading back to check on Britney. I took Britney to the bathroom, brushed her teeth, bathed her, and dressed her in her pajama

  • EX-WIFE'S REVENGE   IT WAS YOU!

SHARON Mildred must have been so upset that she completely forgot Tony was supposed to be called Frank, in the presence of outsiders like me. He pulled out of me and quickly reached for his briefs, slipping them on as his face twisted in a mix of anger and annoyance. "What the hell are you doing here? How did you even get in here?" he snapped, his voice sharp. She scoffed, her eyes flashing with fury. "Are you seriously asking me that, Tony, when I just caught you buried inside this whore? How could you betray me like this after everything we've been through?" "Answer my question, damn it!" Tony yelled, taking a step toward her, fists clenched at his sides. "I used the passcode, of course!" she fired back, raising her voice to match his. "How else could I have gotten in here, genius?" At this point, I scrambled off the bed. I grabbed the sheets and quickly wrapped them around my body. Tony’s temper flared as he took menacing steps toward her, his tone venomous. "How the hell di

I didn’t want to make any unnecessary contact.Back at my house, I found myself surrounded by reminders of her—photos, cards, small mementos—things I had once cherished, things I had gathered. They were relics of a life that no longer fit into my present.Without hesitation, I packed everything related to her and walked straight to the incinerator. I watched as the flames consumed each piece, reducing them to nothing but ash. The sight of it brought a strange kind of relief, as though I was burning away the parts of myself still tethered to the past.Although I had told Marianne I’d be away for forty-eight hours, I felt an urgency pulling me back much sooner. TONYI had everything under control and suddenly, I didn’t. Even now, I could hardly believe that Mildred had been the culprit that night. It was surreal. I had trusted her completely, believing she truly loved me. Of course, I had no intention of ever marrying her but she never knew that. If she really loved me like she claimed, why did she attack me that night? If Britney was the object of her hatred and jealousy, why had she pointed her gun at me and belittled me that night? All this time, I thought it had something to do with that Aislinn who was proving more formidable than her so called sister. I had suspected she had something to do with Britney's condition since she appeared around the same time. But it turned out to be the person I least expected—Mildred. And it was my fault. I had let my guard down around her after using and playing with her for so long. She had grown bold. Thanks to her, Britney had found out about my affairs with Maya and her. I could see her ang

Alva sat by the window, the golden sunlight pouring over her as she gently caressed her rounded belly. She had just registered her marriage to Jonas a week ago in a quiet ceremony, their rings simple yet meaningful. Though their wedding celebration had been postponed until after the baby’s arrival, her heart was full. But today, she was restless. “I miss Mom,” Alva said softly, turning to Jonas, who was busy arranging a small pile of baby clothes they had recently bought. “I want to visit her.” Jonas looked up with a gentle smile, crossing the room to kneel in front of her. “Then let’s go,” he said, taking her hands in his. “You’re her pride and joy. I know seeing you will make her day.” As they prepared to leave, Alva suddenly gasped, clutching her stomach. A rush of water spilled onto the floor. “Jonas…” she whispered, her voice trembling. Jonas was at her side in an instant. “Your water broke,” he said, his voice steady despite the panic rising in his chest. “It’s time.”

A few days after the press conference, Jonas stood outside his parents' home, holding Alva’s hand. The house was an impressive estate surrounded by lush greenery and vibrant flowers, reflecting the warmth and grandeur of the Stanford family. Jonas turned to Alva with a reassuring smile. “Nervous?” he asked, squeezing her hand gently. “A little,” Alva admitted, glancing at the imposing double doors. “Meeting your parents officially is a big deal, Jonas.” Jonas chuckled, leaning in to kiss her forehead. “Trust me, they’ll love you as much as I do.” As they stepped inside, Alva was immediately enveloped in a warm, welcoming atmosphere. Jonas’s mother, Marianne, rushed forward, her arms outstretched. “Alva!” she exclaimed, pulling her into a heartfelt hug. “It’s so wonderful to see you again. Jonas has told us so much about you.” Alva smiled, touched by Marianne’s warmth. “Thank you, Mrs. Stanford. It’s an honor to meet you again.” “None of that formality,” Marianne said, waving he

A few days after the workshop ended, Alva returned home with Vidar and Jonas. The trio’s spirits were high, their bond stronger than ever after the eventful days they’d shared. But their cheerful mood took a sobering turn when they learned about Thea’s actions. Sitting in the living room, Karina explained everything; Thea’s betrayal, the recording, and her banishment to Australia. Alva’s face showed a mix of disbelief and relief. “She really tried to have me killed?” Alva whispered, shaking her head. “I can’t believe it.” Vidar clenched his fists. “It’s a good thing she’s gone. If she weren’t, I don’t know what I would’ve done.” Jonas nodded in agreement. “Your mom handled it well. And I think Australia is more mercy than she deserved.” Karina sighed. “It wasn’t easy, but it had to be done. I couldn’t risk her harming you, Alva.” She reached out, taking Alva’s hand. “You’re safe now, and that’s all that matters.” That evening, Alva and Vidar invited Jonas to join them for dinner

As Nikolai held Freya in his arms, steadying her after her fall, their eyes locked. Time seemed to slow, the patter of rain on the windows fading into the background. Freya’s lips parted slightly as she gazed up at him, her cheeks flushed, her breath soft and quick. Neither of them spoke. They didn’t need to. The intensity in Nikolai’s gaze was mirrored in Freya’s own, and before they realized it, their faces inched closer. Their breaths mingled, and then their lips met in a soft, hesitant kiss. The kiss deepened quickly, fueled by the tension that had been building between them. Nikolai’s hands slid to Freya’s waist, pulling her closer, while Freya’s fingers curled into his shirt, clinging to him as if afraid to let go. The warmth of their connection surged through them, igniting something neither of them had felt before. Freya tilted her head, giving him better access as Nikolai’s lips moved with hers, their passion growing. As Nikolai guided her onto the couch, he looked into

As Karina watched Thea being dragged away, her resolve only hardened. "No matter what happens, I will never let you come back, Thea. I’ll make all the necessary arrangements to ensure that even if I’m no longer alive, you’ll never harm my daughter again," she thought coldly. Meanwhile, at Fjord Garden, Freya sat in the now-empty restaurant, her heart sinking with each passing minute. The rain continued to pour, and the once-romantic atmosphere now felt gloomy and cold. Glances from other patrons made her feel self-conscious, as though they were silently judging her for being stood up. Her phone had lost service, and she couldn’t reach Nikolai. Frustrated and embarrassed, she decided to leave. She walked out into the rain, clutching her small bag as she began looking for a cab. In her haste, her phone slipped out of her hand, splashing into a shallow puddle. "Damn it," she muttered, crouching to pick it up and wiping it off with her damp sleeve. The rain soaked through her clothes,

The next day, Nikolai couldn’t keep the grin off his face as he prepared for his second date with Freya after work. He had spent the entire night replaying moments from their first date, unable to think of anything else. Every time her laughter echoed in his mind, he found himself smiling like a fool. At the same time, Freya was already dressed and ready, her excitement bubbling over. She had chosen a light floral sundress that flowed beautifully around her, paired with simple sandals and a small clutch bag. She couldn’t stop thinking about Nikolai, her heart racing every time she imagined his smile or the way he had looked at her the night before. As Freya waited, her phone rang, and she picked up immediately when she saw Alva’s name. "Alva!" she exclaimed, her voice filled with excitement. Freya shared everything about her date with Nikolai, thanking Alva profusely for making it possible. Alva, equally thrilled, recounted her own dramatic day at the auction, sharing every de

Vidar folded his arms, staring at Mina with a mixture of disgust and disbelief. His voice was cold as he spoke. "You know, Mina," he began, "after I found my long-lost sister, I was looking forward to introducing her to you. I thought you two could be friends, and maybe there was even a future for us. But you revealed your true colors before it ever came to that." Mina opened her mouth to speak, but Vidar raised a hand, silencing her. "I’m happy I realized your disgusting nature before I gave you a status in my life. Don’t ever come near me or my sister again," he said firmly. "And, oh....get ready to explain yourself in court for defaming Alva." Mina’s face paled. She turned to Emilie, who was just as shocked as a lot of people to learn that Alva was Vidar’s sister. Mina dropped to her knees, tears streaming down her face as she begged. "Vidar, please, I’m sorry! I love you so much. I thought Alva was your new girlfriend. I was blinded by jealousy. Mina’s hands trembled as she rummaged through Alva’s purse, her desperation growing with each passing second. In a final act of desperation, Mina turned the purse upside down, spilling its contents onto the floor. A few items fell out: some feminine wipes, a sleek black card, and a few dollar notes. The crowd watched in stunned silence as she crouched down, furiously pawing through the small pile. Alva stood above her, her gaze calm but piercing. She folded her arms, watching Mina humiliate herself. As Mina’s panic grew, Alva’s mind flashed back to the bathroom. She recalled how, through the mirror, she had seen Mina slip the bracelet into her purse while pretending to adjust her makeup. Alva had already been on guard, having noticed Mina’s earlier conversation with Emilie. Jonas had

Nikolai arrived at Aurora Bistro, a picturesque lakeside restaurant with a rustic charm. The bistro’s warm glow under string lights reflected on the tranquil water, creating an intimate and magical ambiance. He parked his car and walked toward the entrance, his nerves tingling with anticipation. As Nikolai entered, his eyes landed on Freya, who was already seated at a table near the window overlooking the lake. The sight of her momentarily took his breath away. She wore a deep emerald green dress that complimented her fair complexion. The soft fabric flowed effortlessly, cinching at the waist and flaring slightly at her knees. Her hair was styled in loose waves that framed her delicate features, and her light makeup highlighted her natural beauty. Freya’s bright smile, however, was what truly stole Nikolai’s attention. He approached the table with a grin. “Freya, you look absolutely stunning. I feel like I’m at a gala instead of a dinner date.” Freya blushed, smoothing her dress
