Park Taylor:
I tried dusting the sands all over my body to get back to my feet quickly as soon as Nate had left, but I stumbled and kept on staggering so hard till I fell on the ground and lost consciousness.
"Where am I, where am I?" I said repeatedly as I saw myself lying again on a hospital bed." "Don't worry, you're going to be okay," the stranger said to me as he restrained my back from rising from the bed. "Who are you, please? Who are you?" I deliberated at the top of my voice as my vision became very blurred. "I found you unconscious lying on the ground, badly battered, and so I decided to help," the stranger spoke, as his tenor voice echoed like the sound of the doorbell in my ears. "Nate sent you, right?" I asked the stranger. "Who is Nate, please?" the stranger asked, sounding so mysterious. "Stop pretending like you don't know what I'm talking about; just finish the job you were asked to do," I muttered slowly from my lips as I was terribly broken. "Rest and you'll be fine in no time," the stranger assured me before he walked out from the hospital room. "Oh my goodness!! What is my life turning into? What have I done to deserve all of this?I thought so, feeling bittered and still feeling the pains from the bruises all over my body. "Doctor, please discharge me," I pleaded as soon as the doctor entered the room. "Ma'am, please be calm; you've suffered lots of bruises all over your body and will require surgery for your broken elbows," the doctor explained. "Please discharge me, doctor; I'll be alright; besides, I do not have any money to pay for the surgery?," I pleaded to the doctor. "The young man that brought you here has all your medical bills covered," the doctor confessed to me. Oh my God!! So it isn't one of Nate's men, I thought to myself as I felt a bit relieved in me in the middle of all this distress. "If you don't mind, please excuse me, so that I can leave you to rest a bit before the surgery proceeds," the doctor spoke before walking out of the room. My goodness!! May God bless the stranger that brought me here. I wonder if it's not by the help of this good Samaritan I would have been dead by now. I kept on pondering in my silent thoughts. My vision remained blurred as I couldn't even capture any of the faces that entered the room. Inside My head was as if an earthquake had occurred. My imagination grew nostalgic of how the whole thing with Nate had happened in such a short space of time. At first, after being framed by Nate, I thought he'd changed and had finally realised his mistake when he came to my rescue in the prison. But it seems that he and Ashley badly want to get rid of me; they would regret not getting the job done when I fully recover from this hospital bed. "How are you feeling now?" The stranger spoke as he came back into the room. ""I do not know your name, but thank you very much, sir," I replied to him softly. "It's not a matter of thank you but a matter of fulfilling your own part of my conditions," the stranger explained to me. "I do not understand what you mean, sir," I tried to clear the air around the room. "Do not call me sir; I'm Park Taylor. I saw you lying on the floor unconscious on a beachside," he explained. "Mr. Park, what do you really want from me?" I asked. "You may not have heard about me, but I know everything about you and your husband, Nia," Park narrated. I looked inside his blue eyes, startled, before asking him, "How do you know my name, sir?." "I'm your husband’s worst enemy and ex-business associate, but he stole away my own company and threw me out to eat my ruins," Park spoke gruffly. "Thank you for helping me, but I think I need to take my leave now," I explained to Park as I began taking off the drip and plaster attached to my hand. "You're my prisoner now, Nia, and I'm only protecting you from your husband, Nate, before he eventually kills you," Park spoke very confidently. "How do you know all of this, mister?" I asked as my eyes widened with curiosity. "I followed your husband and have been keeping an eye on him ever since he betrayed me, finding the perfect timing to execute my revenge," Park concluded as he spoke with a lot of resentment. "So you want me to be part of your revenge plan, right?" I spilled the truth behind all his actions. He paused first, took a deep breath before answering me, "Of course, yes, I desire you to be my wife too." My head fell below my shoulders as I began to doubt my future and its entailments with all that had happened in a short journey of time as countless thoughts ran through my mind. I thought, in a short space of time, I'm everywhere, always in the middle of a situation, and before I can even get my head wrapped around it to understand exactly what is going on, another surface. "Thank you, Mr. Park, but my gratitude is all that I can offer you and nothing much," I replied anxiously to Park. "Scoffs, when you go outside to the real world, out there you'll find out that you'll lose everything more than you can even imagine, including your freedom, as your name has been incriminated for what you've not done," Park narrated as he seriously explains to me that Nate had never dropped charges on me despite he released me himself. Park stared deeply into my eyes with great desire and admiration for the woman right in front of his eyes, much to my surprise that he still finds me beautiful despite my situation before uttering these words to me: "The doctor will be here anytime soon to conduct the surgery, but first you have to sign these papers to get married to me, and not only will you enjoy a repaired body and our marriage also, but I'll clear your name from the bad books too."NIA."Congratulations, Mrs. Vaughn. You have been confirmed three weeks pregnant." The doctor informed me, and I could feel the joy radiating from within, my face on its own accord, crumbling into a smile."Thank you so much!" I appreciated getting up hurriedly, just wanting to get back to the company and inform Nate right away. He was going to be so happy.Though our married life wasn't so perfect, I could already envision this baby making it even more blissful. "Be careful; you don't want to stress it," The doctor called out after me as I dashed out of the hospital, into my car, and straight to the office."Nate, Nate, Nate." I chanted happily as I pushed open the door, ready to jump into his lap and share the awesome news, but what I saw next made me drop my bag, my eyes widening in disbelief."N-nate?" I whispered, hoping he would stop. We were not alone."Yes, you are. I gave you a paper to sign, and you have so little dignity to still cling on to a man who obviously doesn't want you". His sharp words sent more tears gushing out of my eyes.I suddenly found it difficult to breathe. My entire body trembling on the bed as I shut my eyes, not wanting to witness the look of irritation that crossed his face.'Why was he doing this to me?' I pondered. Was it because she was back?"Mr. Vaughn, y...." The doctor tried interrupting, but Nate cut him off rudely."Get the fuck out; you are intruding, or are you one of her lovers?" He accused him, and

I wanted to ask but was pushed outside by the policemen, who led me out of the company with everyone looking and gossiping, especially the employees on the lower floor."Isn't that Mrs. Vaughn?""She looks so pale."."What did she do?" He asked tenderly, stroking my hair in the process. I felt touched, and my face broke into a smile as I nodded at him."I am so sorry for getting you arrested, but someone did truly snitch away information, and the shareholders were getting angry, threatening to withdraw their investments, which was why I did what I did to save the company." Nate explained, and I understood him.'How could I have been so inconsiderate and blame him for what he did?' I pondered. The company was more important."Please forgive me. I will do whatever it takes to make it up to you". He swore, pleading in his sparkly blue eyes.Suddenly, I felt a tight pull in my heart, like he was lying, but his eyes looked so ge
