I reconsidered my options the moment Gavin walked out of the room. He may have tricked me but he was a better option than most.

He may have wronged me but I would be ungrateful if I didn’t acknowledge everything he did for me and my mom.

Maybe, that was his way of apologizing. I don’t know. But from now on, my heart was set on paying back everyone who wronged me— Beginning with my father.

He is the reason why my life fell apart in the first place.

Gavin was right about one thing— by the contract, I was legally bound to him for three years.
