I blinked severally, disbelief blinding me where I stood.

The scene played over and over in my head, but it still made no sense. I couldn't understand what Charles could’ve possibly done to deserve a punch that might as well killed him on the spot and my blood was boiling endlessly seeing that Logan didn't care that he’d unjustly knocked out an innocent man.

Frozen in place, I recounted the events of the past few minutes in hopes of figuring out Logan’s twisted line of reasoning.

Charles had approached me cheerily and stated that he recognized me from a youtube video where I’d done the makeup of five fashion idols under an hour for a vogue shoot while I was working for CTO and we’d immediately hit it off.

He later revealed that he was an ex-makeup artist before he picked up fashion designing as a passion, but since he's been unable to make a stable career out of it, he's been using his sales degree to work at Logan’s firm while he saves up to open a business of his own.
