CHAPTER 81“PLOTTING 9”

That was her and Joaquin’s last day in Baguio. And like what she has been doing for the past few days, Lara woke up early to prepare breakfast for her and her husband.

And since that was their last day to stay there, Joaquin and she decided not to go out and stayed in the cabin instead.

“This house is really beautiful. Someday, we will also have a house here in Baguio," said Lara while looking around the entire living room where the rustic-style fireplace was.

Joaquin didn't answer her. Instead, she felt him kiss her forehead.

"I wish I could give you everything, sweetheart," he said to her and then sighed heavily.

Lara quickly felt a pinch in her chest when she heard what Joaquin said. After that, she secretly scolded herself and immediately spoke to correct what she thought was her husband's misunderstanding of what she said.

"No, please don't get me wrong," that's what she immediately said then looked up at her husband who she saw staring at her as well.

That's when their eyes met.
