Chapter 142: The Unstable Power

The world around me was a blur of shadows and light, colliding and exploding in violent bursts. I could barely see through the chaos, my vision obscured by the tendrils of darkness that spiraled around me like a living storm.

I stumbled, trying to regain my footing, but every step sent another wave of shadow rippling out, tearing at the ground and hurling debris in every direction.

“Focus, Sera! You have to focus!” Julian’s voice cut through the noise, sharp and urgent, but it felt distant, like he was shouting at me from the other side of a chasm.

I turned, trying to find him amidst the turmoil, but all I saw was a flash of silver fur and the glint of his eyes before a blast of darkness sent him flying back.

“No!” I cried out, reaching for him, but the darkness around me lashed out, a wild, uncontrollable force that I couldn’t contain.

It swirled and twisted, striking out at anything and everything in its path, a tempest of fury and pain that mirrored the chaos inside me.

“Julian!
