Could anyone even attempt to find the words that might describe how I felt in this situation? We were so close, so bloody close that I was about to lose my mind if our happiness slid through my fingers again.

Titus just nudged me, encouraging me to go outside and get some fresh air to calm down, but if he had any idea why I was like this, maybe he would understand.

I knew he was trying to uphold peace and harmony in our relationship, but what we needed right now was everything but that. We needed a whole full-blown riot or some shit.

“Here, let’s sit down and talk. Eden needs some time with the grandpa dude,” Titus grabbed my hand and pulled me towards the bench, located under a tree, perfectly hidden from the sun.

Begrudgingly, I followed him and sat down.

Titus didn’t ask anything and didn’t bother to look at me either. He just sat and watched nature blossom around us as if we weren’t a step away from our entire lives burning down to ash.
