I can't help but keep staring consciously at the wound. I have a bunch of questions that kept roaming around my thoughts. At first glance, if this thing I've been experiencing was real, this could serve as my piece of research.

However, I can't still totally believe it.

I have been too much overwhelmed by the unexplainable things that happened before this. So I thought maybe I just need some rest?

But no! I know that everything I saw right now is real!

With full of hopes and curiosity, I gazed, searching at Sarah's eyes. And to my surprise, I almost jump off the chair when I saw her eyelids flickered from brown to deep powder-white!

I exclaimed, frightened to no extent as I was holding back my chair! She stared at me with eyes so emotionless. She wasn't moving an inch. Her lips were shut in calmness while she was just sitting there.

I knew I was frightened, but I never did something that would notice her that I was to retain the sense of professionalism in this field, except when showing my first impression of it. I kept my face calm, sat straight, and get back to my senses while observing her.

Her flickering eyes were spellbinding me. Her pupils suddenly remained brown while her eyelids continued to flicker. I leaned closer to her, focused on seeking more colors that might appear encircling her pupils.

My face almost an inch away from hers when a flare of light thundered unto my eyes!

I did not really notice where that came from because of how fast the event was, but I was sure that it came directly from Sarah's eyes.

What was that?! I gasped.

I stood up due to the electric effect of that scintillating light! I felt a current running over my sclera towards the optic nerve of my damn painful eyeballs.

My eyelids closed in pain. I tried to recover it, but no matter how much I forced myself to get my eyes open, it wouldn't.

What's happening to me?

I was terrified of what might be the impact of this on my sight. I did not know if anyone might hear me from the outside, but I totally screamed.

I was shaking, trying to calm myself first before shouting to her, irritated, with discomfort. I can't help but question her.

"What have you done to me?!"

My eyes began to fell tears. It took more than a minute before Sarah responded.

"What do you want?" She asked in a monotonous manner. I was not disturbed by how she questioned me. But what made my body stilled was when her voice became more serious, more mature, and intimidating. But still the voice of a female.

Even though I never heard Sarah speaking, I can still feel that she doesn't talk this way. The soft-looking face of hers did not totally match how she tells.

Nevertheless, is this how Sarah speaks?

Impossible!

My attention went back to the actual question she was asking. I shivered in anxiousness as anxiety stroke in. I did not actually know what she meant!

I snapped, almost wasn't able to control myself. "Obviously! I need my eyesight back!"

"Why would I do that?" She quickly queried without even putting a break into my thoughts.

I was still holding my eyes, trying to regain my sight on my own. I was frustrated to answer Sarah's question. Isn't it obvious why I need my eyes so much? Everyone needs it! She shouldn't be questioning me about it!

Later, I knew that I tried to become fierce in front of her, no matter my situation. Even though I cannot see Sarah, I raised my head just enough for her to see my face while my eyes were closed.

"Tell me what you want?" I challenged.

-

I blinked my eyes several times before seeing the peaceful and relaxing view of the place where I did not know where it was located. But for sure, it can be somehow be found along the mountains.

My forehead wrinkled in confusion. "Where am I?"

"Have you seen a cow right here?" She asked me back with a soft touching voice, whispering in the air.

I quickly glanced around me to look for the cow she meant; however, I noticed none. I became more curious about the things she really wants to tell me.

I glanced at her. She was standing a few feet beside me.

Her hair was swaying following the direction of the wind. Her face was expressionless. But when I glared at her eyes, it was blank; she was unhappy.

I waited for her to make a word, but she didn't. At this moment, I decided to initiate.

I raised my shoulders, facing her. "They were none!" I commented.

"Right," Her lips suddenly curved in bitterness before she began speaking again.

"You drank them like rivers until they ran dry."

"You made them as your shelter when they don't even have one."

She stopped for a while and glanced at me. Her eyes were checking if I was still listening. Then she looked back to the wilderness before she continued.

"You tried to look impressive, but you will never impress them."

Wait, what? What was she talking about? I was baffled right now and did not know what precisely to the response. Because of this, I slowly stepped towards her. I was confused by her words.

"I-I don't understand what you are talking about."

I expected her to respond quickly, but she did not. It took her almost a minute before she gradually faced me.

"How pity, humans have no idea..." She murmured silently. I was kind of wondering why she said that. Is she human too?

Later on, when my face has totally seen hers, I cannot believe what I saw! Her eyes were tearful. Her lips wanted to break down crying. But the most questionable thing I noticed was the bleeding at the left corner of her face!

I began to panic. "Wh-what happened to you?" I stepped closer to touch her, but she moved back, avoiding my embrace.

I looked at her with quizzing eyes.

Her eyes met mine.

And unexpectedly, she began to smile, looking fiercely into my eyes. I wonder what she was thinking. I felt a bit terrified about what was happening.

"People seriously do not know?" She asked, trembling, and I can see it in her eyes that she was expecting to not get disappointed with my response.

I did not verbally reply; instead, my face looked vacant, telling her that I do not really know what she was talking about.

She sighed. "You're wearing it."

-

I felt so dizzy when I woke up with half of my back leaning on the wall. The cold cement touched too deep on my skin, elapsing the clothes I was wearing.

A blurry figure of a woman approached my sight. My eyes were half-opened, and my back was tired while trying my best to get up. I may not clearly saw who that woman was, yet I know that it was no other than Sarah.

I whispered her name, waiting for a confirmation that it was her. She did not respond, so I blinked my eyes to clear my vision.

When my eyesight became vivid, I saw Sarah sitting on the hospital bed. She casually looked at me. I tried to remember the reason why I was sitting on the floor while sleeping.

Did I just faint right away? My bad, that's very incompetent in front of a patient.

I roamed my eyes around the room, and it was kind of messy. The chairs were scattered on the floor. My things were away from each other. I picked all these things up first before I went nearer to Sarah to check her condition once again.

I was in the middle of evaluating her when suddenly, a flash of memory triggered my thoughts.

Because of this, I stepped a bit backward while massaging the side of my forehead. I closed my eyes out of a sudden. I also felt something that I've accidentally stepped on as it made a little noise and a quite slippery feeling in my feet. I made glanced at it, thinking it was nothing.

It was a white leathered-jacket made from cow's skin.

Wait, a white leathered what?

I was about to continue writing a report, but the jacket seemed familiar. So I picked it up, and I was shattered to remember that I was definitely wearing this all the time. Well, except now.

God, It seems like I was too stressed and tired. I just laughed at my own thoughts.

Like what the hell is happening to me?
