Chapter 1 Returning to China

Wen Yuhua had just finished a case.

This is a divorce case. The man and the woman have been married for three years and have two children but have never obtained a marriage certificate. Now the man has cheated on her and the relationship has broken down. He asks the woman to return the betrothal gift.

"Lawyer Wen, Lawyer Wen."

Hearing the sound, Wen Yuhua stopped.

"Thank you so much, Lawyer Wen."

The woman was well-dressed, but her face was filled with fatigue. She said in a slightly indignant voice, "If it weren't for you, I really don't know how I would get rid of that scumbag!"

Wen Yuhua smiled lightly and said politely, "This is just my duty."

The woman followed her footsteps and chattered non-stop, "Lawyer Wen, you are so gentle, your husband must be very good to you, unlike me..."

Wen Yuhua didn't say anything .

Is her husband good to her?

Her mind paused for a moment, and she searched her memory but still had no idea how to answer this question.

she realized what was happening, the woman was gone. The phone in her pocket dinged, and she unlocked the screen. A series of messages popped up, most of which were from Jiang Liu.

"Hua Bao, did you know that your husband is back?"

"Lin Hechuan is a damned bastard. He actually came back with that green tea bitch Ye Xi!"

"Ahhh, these two bitches are making me so mad!"

Wen Yuhua clicked on the photo at the bottom. Lin Hechuan in the photo was dazzling and brilliant, and it was difficult to describe him with just one word : handsome. He had high eyebrows and deep eyes, a three-dimensional bone structure, and a pair of phoenix eyes that looked down on everyone, emitting a faint sense of oppression.

A few steps later is Ye Xi, a talented woman who was once famous throughout the city of the imperial capital. She is beautiful and gentle.

The two are childhood sweethearts. If it weren't for Wen Yuhua, the title of Mrs. Lin would have gone to Ye Xi.

The two of them, one in front and one behind, look very well matched.

Wen Yuhua looked at the phone expressionlessly.

She was just about to reply to Jiang Liu's message when the other end called her impatiently.

"As expected, a dog will always eat shit. This dog Lin Hechuan really disgusts me to death!"

Jiang Liu said bluntly, "He is just a toad wearing a frog skin, but he is not good at dressing up but good at playing."

Wen Yuhua waved and stopped a taxi, "You can scold him, but don't scold me. In another month, there will be nothing between us."

She opened the car window and looked out.

was projected on the huge screen . The man was talking eloquently, with unfamiliar professional terms popping out of his mouth one after another. The ordinary white coat looked extremely noble against the backdrop of his appearance.

He is Wen Yuhua’s husband, the man standing at the top of the pyramid of the imperial capital, unattainable—Lin Hechuan.

As the only son of the Lin family, Lin Hechuan was trained to be an heir since he was a child. He is elegant, generous, cold and proud, and is recognized as a genius in the circle. At the age of fifteen, he taught himself all the courses in high school and was admitted to the top financial school in China. He then went abroad for further studies and switched to studying medicine. At the age of twenty, he obtained a doctorate from Harvard Medical School.

The young genius was not buried. When he returned to China, Lin Hechuan had become a world-class surgeon.

Of course, she saw all of this from the gossip tabloids that Jiang Liu reposted for her.

She stared at the screen blankly.

After not seeing each other for a year, the first time I met Lin Hechuan was on the street, and we saw each other on the screen.

Wen Yuhua herself found it ridiculous.

There were warm clouds in the sky, and the red was reflected on her face. She looked at the towering skyscrapers, but in her heart she was thinking how to end this marriage decently.

But if this marriage started in an inglorious way, how could it end in an inglorious way?

"I'll go with you."

Jiang Liu's voice brought Wen Yuhua back to consciousness, "It just so happens that I got a bonus, so I'll treat you to a big meal to get rid of the bad luck!"

Wen Yuhua said, "No, I remember you stayed up late to finish the project a few days ago. You should get more sleep if you have time."

"Sleeping is not as important as my baby. I'll go and accompany you."

Wen Yuhua was worried that Jiang Liu would really come, so she hurriedly said, "No, you should have a good rest. I'll treat you to a big meal some other day. I have to go back to the law firm tonight to sort out the case. You know, I forget everything when I'm working. "

Jiang Liu was skeptical, "Really not necessary?"

"Really? I'm almost at the law firm. I'll hang up now."

Wen Yuhua walked into the law firm, and the cold wind blowing in her face blew away the haze in her heart.

She didn't want to think about it all, so she walked quickly to the office and looked at the piles of documents on the table. Instead of feeling tired, her empty heart was filled with these mountains of papers.

When I looked up again, the pointer had turned to twelve o'clock.

Wen Yuhua stretched, picked up his backpack and turned off the light.

The imperial capital was still bustling late at night, and she drove to the villa in Floating Cloud Bay.

This was their wedding room, but Lin Hechuan had only lived here a few times.

Driving the car into the basement, Wen Yuhua's heart suddenly started beating fast when she opened the door. Will the man go home after the interview?

Her mind was full of random thoughts and her hands were shaking uncontrollably, but she was still disappointed after opening the door.

The lights were off in the empty room, and there were no men's leather shoes in the shoe cabinet in front of the door.

Wen Yuhua laughed at herself. What was she still expecting now ?

She quickly ate a packet of instant noodles and looked through her circle of friends before going to bed. She happened to see a status posted by Ye Xi not long ago, "Long time no see."

Before she clicked on the large picture, Wen Yuhua saw Lin Hechuan at a glance. In the extravagant environment, the man was leaning casually on the sofa, completely different from the serious look he had in the afternoon . He was only wearing a white shirt made of expensive fabric , with the collar slightly open, which made him look more lazy and casual.

Ye Xi was sitting next to them. She took this photo with her mobile phone . The two of them were close together in the photo, looking very intimate.

Wen Yuhua suddenly didn't want to watch any more. She turned off her phone, put it on the bedside table, and closed her eyes.

In the box.

Lin Hechuan sat in the middle, with everyone sitting on both sides. The ones closest to him were Ye Xi and Zheng Le.

Zheng Le looked very happy, and raised his glass with a red face, "Brother, you are finally back, I missed you so much!"

The wine-red liquid rippled in the wine glass, and Lin Hechuan laughed lazily, "I see you are alive and well, why do you want me to die?"

"Who said that? Ever since you left, I haven't been able to eat or sleep well. I've lost so much weight this year that my abdominal muscles are showing!"

To show his affection, Zheng Le was about to lift up his shirt, "Don't leave when you come back this time."

Lin Hechuan kicked him lightly and said, "Don't be so smooth-talking. You are as skinny as a skeleton. You don't have any abdominal muscles."

Zheng Le chuckled, "Brother, I knew you knew me best."

At this time, Ye Xi, who had been silent on the side, suddenly spoke up and said with a smile , "Zheng Le, didn't you invite Yuhua to welcome Hechuan?"

Zheng Le said nonchalantly, "We brothers are drinking together, it would be troublesome to invite a woman."

Ye Xi's eyes fell on Lin Hechuan's face vaguely, "Not good. Hechuan, how about I call Yuhua and ask?"

The smile suddenly disappeared from Lin Hechuan's delicate black pupils. He casually extinguished the cigarette in his hand that had just been lit and threw it into the trash can.

"No."

The man stood up, dropped his coat on his shoulders, and walked out without looking back, "I'm sleepy, you guys go play."

Zheng Le was a little confused and didn't know why Lin Hechuan's attitude changed.

“Brother, you…”

"Sister-in-law, what should I do?"

Zheng Le turned around and looked at Ye Xi, who appropriately hid the resentment in his eyes.

"It's okay, let's continue playing."

Ye Xi smiled gently, "Hechuan is indeed tired after sitting on the plane all day."

Lin Hechuan stood in front of the villa in Fuyun Bay, looking at the door lock in front of him with a gloomy look.

After trying three times, the fingerprint still didn't match.

He looked at the dark villa and took out his cell phone irritably.

Wen Yuhua, who had just fallen asleep, was awakened by the ringing of her cell phone. Before she could see who was calling, her hands were faster than her brain.

"Hello, who are you?"

The other party was silent for two seconds, and then sarcastically said, "Wen Yuhua, you don't recognize me after just not seeing me for a year? Your husband left, but he's not dead."

She finally came to her senses when she heard the familiar voice.

"Come down and open the door for me."

Lin Hechuan hung up the phone and heard the sound of footsteps coming down the stairs.

Soon, the door was opened.

Wen Yuhua was wearing a beige knitted jacket and a light pink suspender nightgown underneath. Her eyes looked a little confused, and there was a trace of unknown transparent liquid at the corner of her mouth.

The slender shoulder straps hung loosely on her jade-white shoulders, and Lin Hechuan could see the scenery under her nightgown just by lowering his head.

He swallowed and felt inexplicably hot.
