After looking at what happened to Angelo, he couldn't suppress the fear of being the next. Angelo just planned once to kill Blaze. But Stephen lost count of how many times he tried.
He even killed Blaze's father and mother. If they began to suspect him, then slowly everything will be unraveled and all of his sins will be spread wide in the open for everyone to see.
