The luxury car sped toward the hospital, and a heavy silence hung over them.

Tyrone's expression was grim as he untied the ropes binding Heather's wrists. Her once pale skin was now bruised and marred, with scrapes on her legs.

There was also a swollen bump on her forehead, making her appear especially fragile.

A dangerous glint flashed in Tyrone's eyes as his long fingers gently massaged her wrist. Trying not to startle her, he softened his voice. "How did you get hurt?"

There was no response.

Tyrone looked down at her pale face. She was distant and lost in thought, staring blankly ahead.

The way she looked now reminded him all too much of the last time she had lost consciousness.

His heart tightened with worry. He tightened his grip on her hand, the coldness of her skin deepening the concern etched in his brow.
