Ava walked into the living room with a puzzled expression. She looked at the main door as if she were looking for someone. Approaching the window, she looked out at the parking lot with its large number of cars parked there. She noticed an empty space there.

Ava fixed her gaze there. For a few seconds, her eyes flashed green. Her wolf was upset that Ian had been hurt.

"Stop thinking about him. He is no one to us," she muttered to her wolf, looking away from the window.

However, her mind reflected Ian's burned palm. She blinked, not feeling well inside.

'Congratulations, Ian. You have successfully ruined my birthday again,' she thought.
