"Who gave you order? Why would that person want to kill me?" Amber asked loudly even though her body could collapse at any time.

"I don't know. Maybe, because you took her ex-husband?”

Getting a clue, Amber sighed in disbelief. "Celine? She sent you here?"

"Is there a final message you want to convey to her?" the hit man asked as he twirled the pen in his hand. He felt the upper hand. The prey had been cornered by the wall.

"Yes." Amber swallowed. While holding back her fear, she covered her ears with her hands. "Tell her I won't die!"

Just as the exclamation ended, a bullet whizzed. A second later, the hit man bent down clutching his bleeding thigh. His groan echoed throughout the parking lot. "God damn it!"

Terrified, Amber fled away. The hit man quickly forgot the pain. However, before he could catch the prey, several policemen surrounded him. He could only bite his fingers as he saw the woman kneeling beside Adam.
