Chapter 68 I Need A Distraction

I pace across my room, wondering what Alexander was doing with Nancy downstairs.

The sound of the door opening snaps me back to reality. I march to Alexander and pin him against the wall by grabbing his collar, causing his eyes to widen in shock.

“Just slow down, woman. Why are you so wild suddenly?” I roll my eyes upon listening to his words.

“What was Nancy doing with you downstairs, Alexander?” I enquire in a sharp tone.

A smile tugs the corner of his lips. “Being possessive of me, I like it.”

“Cut the crap, Alexander. Just spill it.” My frown deepens as I snarl, tightening the grip of my hands around his collar.

“Well, she was upset, and I felt compelled to go to her and talk.” My brows raise in surprise and my grip loosens, listening to his explanation.

“What! You were consoling her?” I ask in disbelief tone, leaving his collars.

He gives me a slight nod and takes my hand in his. “Yes, a kind of because you changed me, Alice. Now I can feel the emotions of others.”
