Sebastian

Going through the files my personal assistant had dropped on my table, I frowned at myself, grunting at every minute. Today was one of the most terrible days of my entire life. Since the company I had wanted to work with had sent me a crazy email, I hadn't been fine.
"Sup?" My best friend, Ethan, jerked into my office, smiling widely like he just won a contest.
Turning back to the file, I hissed. How could he be smiling while I was being frustrated?
"Nothing's up. I'm only being so frustrated right now. Life's getting too stressful for me," I declared.
He chuckled, sat on the seat on the other side of my well furnished wide table, then drummed his fingers on the table to obviously catch my attention.
"What?" I turned to him with lowered eyebrows, flustered at nothing specific.
He sig
Shocked, I moved my lips without uttering a word. And noticing that I looked stupid, I huffed. I couldn't say anything."You're silly." Adrienne chuckled, and tapped his arm. He raised his other hand, and pinched her cheek. What was all this? How could she be paying attention to him when a whole Sebastian Martinez was in front of her? Although I had huffed, she didn't even look at me. Was she that in love with him?Fine, he was tall and handsome. Amber brown eyes, fine pink lips, straight nose and nice brows, he all possessed. But that wasn't an excuse for her to not pay attention to me. For jeez' sake, a lot of girls cried to stay with me. So what was with her? Had she forgotten I used to be her husband? Couldn't she pay some respects?"Guess who's cute on her first day" the irritating guy uttered. I wanted to scoff, but that would seem rude. And wait, how could he feel so comfortable to
Adrienne_______Sitting on the entrance in Claire's little house, I raised my knees to my chest, wrapped my arms around them, dropping my head in between them. To be honest, this day ended up being a really bad one for me.Fine. After I had told Sebastian to leave me, he had done so. In fact, although we sat kind of close to each other in class, he hadn't tried to disturb me. But, in a way, all of this made me feel bad and terrible. When he jerked my arm, it reminded me of how he worshipped my body that night. It reminded me of how he stated that all of those things were lust. It really made me so bitter.I sighed, then shut my eyes for a moment. Inhaling the cool breeze, I wrapped my arms around my body to form a temporary warmth. Staring at the dark sky, full moon and the stars was a habit I possessed whenever I felt so exhausted or frustrated. But when I had stayed with Sebastian, I hardly had time
Slurping on my hamburger, I stared at Claire as she complained about her phone. All I'd say is that I was so confused. I didn't understand what was going on. She kept yelling at it as if it was some kind of living thing."Anything wrong there?" I enquired.Hissing, she took a glance at me. "I don't understand why this thing won't work. I'm so sick of the damn thing right now.""Let me see." I stood from my seat, walked into the kitchen, and took the phone from her. With a deep glare on her face, she tucked her arms around her chest, muttering."Maybe you need to take it to a phone technician. That won't cost much, will it?" I suggested. She sighed, shook her head, then took the phone from me. "Don't worry." Her voice was kind of sad. "I'll just wait till I'm able to get a new one. I don't have money now. And you know I won't wann
She huffed, turned her neck to the side, blinked a couple of times. "I don't want to listen to anything you have to say.""Hey." I ensured I sounded cold as usual. She turned to me, looking colder."First, I don't appreciate you touching me. It traumatizes me," she blurted out. Her voice was low, yet clear, holding a big deal of irateness. Not debating with myself, I released her hand from my hold. Speaking of trauma, I could understand what she meant. It was probably because I had told her I used her body to have some fun. So she still remembered that? After almost four months? Well, how would I have known she appreciated her body so much?I sighed. It was time to be cool."What is going on with you?" I asked as if I didn't know what was wrong. What was I supposed to say?!Her eyes squinted, the intensity in her anger rising. "With me? Are you supposed
I turned my head to look at the trainer. Equally, the woman seemed shocked. She opened her mouth widely, staring at Adrienne like a confused person."Hello there?" The old woman squeezed her already wrinkled face. "Is there a problem? What do you mean? If you don't do the practical, there's automatically no point in you having to come here."Adrienne shook her head slowly, blinked again. "I want a different pair. I reject this person, and I don't think asking for another pair should be a problem.""Young lady." The woman frowned slightly. "First, do you realize you're causing a commotion here? And second, I'm so sorry, but you've got to accept any project partner given to you. The computer pairs everyone according to their admission numbers and names. It's not like we can actually do anything about it."I kept watching the weird drama. What else could I do? Or was I supposed to reject her as we
Thinking about all Adrienne had said, I couldn't concentrate on my work. It was Friday, which meant it was time to work. But instead of focusing on working, all I could think of was how crazy she had seemed threatening. There was absolutely no one who had spoken to me in such a manner. It felt as if her voice was everywhere in my mansion.Feeling so disturbed, I hopped from my seat, heading to the kitchen to grab a hot alcohol. Stepping out, I bumped into something. Maybe someone."Who the heck—" I wanted to yell, but I stopped when I saw it was Ethan. Of course it would be him. No one else had the audacity to come into my study room."Dude, calm down. It was only a mistake," he apologized.I frowned, walked past him, still heading to the kitchen. Alcohol was something I drank whenever I was too stressed out. Right now, it was what I needed. I felt stupid for wanting to
Adrienne————"Thanks, Mommy." I grinned as I spoke to Mom over the phone. My lips pulled into a pout, my eyelashes batting like that of a child who was cajoling his mom for a lollipop."Is your course a stressful one?" She queried."Hm-hm. It's not too stressful. It's quite fine. And I'm really happy here. A lot of people like me. I feel loved." Saying that alone, she sobbed. I rolled my eyes, surprised at how well she could be emotional."I'm so glad you're happy." Her voice was shaky, probably because she was weeping. "I can finally sleep well at night."I giggled. "Drama queen."She laughed for a while. And after a moment of telling me how bored she always was, she said “goodbye”, and hung up immediately.Hunching a hard sigh, I leaned my back against the comfy sofa. S
"Ensure to not miss lunch, ok?" Claire stated the same thing for the one hundredth time. Irritated, I rolled my eyes."I won't, woman." I walked past her, grabbed my bag from the counter, stepping out of the kitchen.About to walk out of the house, she called my name. More irritated, I rolled my eyes again, then spun around to look at her."What?" I gave her a knowing look. She smiled warmly, walked to me. "Sorry to disturb you. But, um…" she bit her lower lip. "I want to know if you'll be able to work with that, you know, your ex-husband."I smiled back. "Thanks, hun. But don't worry, I'll be fine. Nothing's gonna happen, ok? If he tries to do anything crazy, I'll call for help.""Good." Her smile curled into a grin. "I hope to see you in the evening. I'll be hanging out with Dave for the meantime.""Hmm."
Ah! Finally! Thanks to God! Phew, it's now completed. A very big thanks to everrrrryone who read and supported this. It really, really means a lot to me! This is my third book on Goodnovel, and I'm glad it's not completed. It took me a month plus to write this. Cool, right? Hehe! Thanks again! For the typos or grammar error, I'm sorry for that. It's still under editing. So, I'll be starting a new book really really really soon. Title: Chasing his (Synopsis) For the mission, for his ego, for his love, for it all, he had to get her. Months later…"Thank you so much!" I exclaimed. Standing up from the well furnished chair, I heaved a deep sigh, smiled from ear to ear. "I'm so happy to finally be a partner of this company. Thanks for accepting my proposal."Mr. Roland, the CEO of one of the most reputable companies in New York, stood up from his seat. Stretching his hand for a handshake, he returned my smile. "Congratulations. We hope to get great results from you," he said."I'll try my best." I took his hand. After our friendly handshake, I grabbed my purse from the glass that separated Mr. Roland and I, made my way out of his office, then out of the building.Closing my eyes, I inhaled the beautiful air of that afternoon, then smiled on opening them. Today wasn't my birthday alone, it was also my lucky day. First, the doctor had confirmed I was pregnant. And second, the company I wanted to wo
Mom stared blankly at Sebastian and I. All I hoped was for her to accept this relationship. Well, there was a probability she'd accept it. She always said God forgives us for our sins, so we should learn to forgive others. Her eyes moved to Sebastian, then to me. "How did this get to happen?" I couldn't grasp the particular emotion on her face. She widened her mouth, looked at me. "How did he even get here? Am I the only one who finds this weird?""Ma, I used to think that too." I glimpsed at Sebastian, took his hand in mine, and smiled. "But I think fate purposely sent him to me. Whatever's meant for you, is meant for you."She sighed. "Honey, are you sure this is fine? I mean, I don't want you to… you know, have a heartbreak again."I could feel Sebastian wasn't comfortable with this conversation, so I just chuckled. "It'll be fine. I trust him now. And besides, we're so in love now. O
Ethan stared at me like he was confused. He blinked four times, dropped his mouth. He wanted to speak, but it was as if something cut his throat."Seriously?!" He finally spoke, shock in his tone. "How did you guys break up? Wh-What happened?""I was stupid again," I mumbled. "I said I didn't trust him. So, can you please help me talk to him? Claire's not willing to help me do that.""Oh." He scratched the back of his neck, stood up from the couch. "It's quite late. I don't know if he's asleep.""Ah, oh!" I gasped, leaped from my seat, and looked so worried. "Did he drink alcohol?"He pressed his lips against each other, shook his head no."Good." I sighed in relief. Staring back at him, I batted my eyelashes, pulled a childish pout. "Go, please. He always listens to you, huh?"He chuckled. "Just go by yourself. And besides,"
Claire_____"Right now…" Sebastian scoffed, bit his lips. "I'd rather stay with a pig, than come close to you. You're gross."After stating that to the damn mother-fucking Lauretta lady, he walked away, leaving her to gape. She muttered some things, glared at herself, rolled up her fingers into a fist.Angered, I scorned silently, and sauntered to her. "Hey, bitcho."Hearing my voice, she turned to me. With lowered brows, she gazed at me. "What? Who the heck are you?" She spat out."Claire Martinez." A smirk grew on my lips. I was flustered, but I just had to keep calm before I'd end up killing her."Oh. You're his sister?" She flared her nostrils, curved her ugly arms around her chest."Yes, bitch. His sister, and his helper. I—""You don't even look like the sister of tha
I tightened my fist, glared at Lauretta, felt the need to hit her. When she had taken a glimpse sideways, I knew she had been up to something. She had probably seen Adrienne coming, so she had decided to pick up and act. But what was she going to gain from this?Tugging her arm, I yanked her close. "Did you do this on purpose?""Maybe." Her lips flipped up into a sneer."Why?" My voice was low, rough and weak. I was scared. So scared. Adrienne had said she “knew it”. What exactly did she know? Had she been doubting me? Had she— It was better to not think about that right now.She licked her lips, slowly raised her fingers to caress my jaw line. "Did I say anything wrong, huh? I'm truly tired of having to wait for you. This is the second time I've come to Florida. Why can't you see I want you? You've stopped giving me money, but that's not just it. I want you."&nb
He stared hard. Reading his eyes, I saw hurt in them. Not just hurt, disappointment as well. It was as if he wasn't expecting this at all."What?" That left his lips in a whisper.I swallowed, and nodded. "That's it, Dave. Stop trying to get close to me. You like me, but I don't like you. Sebastian isn't the same person he used to be, so I decided to give him a chance. Stop causing a problem in my life by trying to get close. I don't want to feel sad for rejecting you. I… don't like you as a lover," I uttered. For a moment, his gaze was more intense. It felt like he didn't want to stop staring at all. What the heck was he looking at? The brown color of my eyes? His throat moved, up and down, then he stepped backwards. Lowering his head, his fingers rolled up into a fist. "I'm sorry for having to get close to you.""It's not a problem. You—"&
Finally, she removed the test result from the envelope. For a moment, she stared at it comprehensively, and then, she sighed. "Oh, God," she muttered, dropping her hand on her chest. It was as if she was shocked, as well, it was as if she was relieved. What was the result?"Ma?" I tapped her shoulder. "What does it say?"Again, she sighed, stood up, and turned around to look at me. "It's negative." There was a smile on her face. I wanted to smile back at her, but I just couldn't. If I did, it would hurt Dave. Dave had once told me how important his locket was. He had said it made him feel like he wasn't so lonely as he truly was. He had said he never saw his mother, but she was close to his heart. So, now that this had to happen, wouldn't he be hurt that the woman he thought was his mom, wasn't? Ah, shit, why him?He stood up from his seat, looking quite hurt. Mom probably noticed how sad he looked, so she cupped his hands in hers. "Hey, dear." She smiled warmly at him. "I know h
Adrienne_______Seeing how worried Dave seemed, I kind of felt disturbed. He looked tense and pale. In fact, his head was turning red. What could possibly be wrong with him?"Dave? Are you fine?" I asked again, but still, there was no reply from him. All he did was stare intently at mom. His mouth was dropped as well, his eyes broadly open. I saw tears in his eyes, and that worried me more."Adrienne," Mom called. She probably noticed him too.I turned to her, furrowed my eyebrows. "Yes, ma?""Is your friend okay?" I saw some kind of disturbance in her eyes.I sighed, turned to him. Taking a step closer, I tapped his arm, which made him flinch. "What's wrong? Why aren't you saying anything?""A-Ady," he stuttered, finally looking at me. "A-are you sure she's your mom? Are you…" he swallowed, not saying any
