I left the restaurant right away upon seeing them and didn’t bother waiting for my food. I simply messaged Celine to get it for me and settle the bill. My previous hunger dissipated, and I felt lightheaded. The thought of them laughing together while I dined alone made me queasy, to the point where even my unborn child seemed to share my discomfort.
