Summer’s Point of View

Steven pulled me to the secluded corner, and I felt the roughness of the wall behind me as he moved his face closer to me. When I felt his brawny arms, I couldn't help but gasp at the sensation. I was out of breath, my strength sapping as I tried to push him away.

The way he acted brought a pleasant, tingling warmth to my chest. However, his piercing eyes seemed to study me, and I felt my skin crawl under his scrutiny.

“Summer, what did you tell Amby?” he asked.

“What do you think?” I asked back, a little frustrated as I pushed him.

I tried to avert my eyes, but he grasped my chin, making me look directly into his. I felt my mind go blank, overwhelmed by what he had done.

We were locked in a silent battle of wills, neither of us looking away.

“I’m asking you, Summer. Answer my question.”
