September 24, 2024. Chapter 1-2. I'm a little late today. The next chapter will be in an hour.
“So, this is the current situation in the company,” Adrian revealed to the Harolds, Daisy, Danica, and Bryce Harolds.A few minutes had passed since the meeting started. Riley joined the discussion because she wanted to know if Daisy was a threat. They were all in the conference room, looking into the company’s status with Abner and Anthony. Abner suggested, “So, we do have vacancies for the board members, which we would be happy to give a seat to Bryce and Daisy; since you want to take part of the company, you may opt to handle the supermarket. We can ask Gina to handle the hospital instead.”“Gina,” Daisy repeated. She studied the executive’s profile and said, “Oh, this has been her company ever since. I don’t want to take that away from her. It’s her hard work.”“So, The King’s Medical Center is without a director because Adrian is now the CEO, right? Why don’t I take that,” Daisy said with a smile. From where Riley sat, she cussed inside because that would mean Daisy and Adrian w
“Did you tell Kent?” Zia asked Clint. “I called his room, but there was no answer,” Clint responded. They were on their way to Kent and Sonia’s room. Zia was determined to tell Kent what Sonia had done. After all, they were getting married. Whether Sonia was her cousin or not, she did not think it was right for Sonia to seduce someone else’s man when she was about to get married!Zia grumbled on their way to the room, and when she and Clint finally arrived, they were surprised that Kent’s parents and Sonia’s parents were there!Clint and Zia had entered the room. It was Cora Mason, Kent’s mother, who opened the door. A mix of emotions played across Cora’s face. She wanted to say something but wavered.“You!” Kent said, pointing at Clint. Zia was confused by all the hostility directed toward Clint. Before she knew it, Kent was charging at him! Kent thrust his fist at Clint, but the latter dodged it with grace. In fact, Kent attempted to punch Clint three times but failed miserably.
"So, Kent really said that?" Clint asked while massaging Zia's foot. They were at their villa, already getting ready for bed when they covered Zia's conversation with Kent during breakfast. She said, "I can imagine that was what they argued about, and based on how Kent tried to defend Sonia earlier, he was swayed by her lies."Clint fell silent. His hand movements slowed down as he massaged her foot. He said, "If Kent and Sonia were to break up, would you go back to him? For him to confront you like that, it could mean he has feelings for you.""No," Zia said outright. "There is nothing to go back to in the first place. We were never a couple, just ex-best friends with whom I fell in love in the past.""But after that talk with him, and especially earlier's encounter, I'm relieved we were never romantic," Zia said. "Him, having feelings for me?" Zia pursed her lips and said, "I don't know. I don't think so. Maybe because this was the first time I had been with a man since I confess
Within one private villa of the Serenity Shores Resort, two slender frames were entangled, enjoying a night of passion. Their bodies were bare, glistening in sweat. Their lips were parted, moistened from their eager kisses, often calling out each other's names. Around their room, the melodic sounds of their heavy breathing, low groans, and the slight slapping of their flesh filled the air. Zia's right leg rested on Clint's shoulder while the latter held her left thigh down. Clint focused his gaze on how his shaft was going in and out of Zia, glowing in her love juice. "Damn." Clint looked up and admired how Zia's face was flushed, her other hand unwittingly holding her breast as she bounced up and down against the sheets. He declared, "Beautiful."He pumped a little faster, with him biting his lip before leaning over to kiss Zia's lips. Then, he sat up again. He shifted Zia's right leg to rest on her left thigh, forcing her frame to lie almost on her side. "Clint, you are filling
“He did not say much, but I knew he went to see the resort surveillance. However, I know something else ticked him off,” Cora Mason said, referring to Kent. She held Zia’s hand and requested, “Please talk to him, Zia. Please.”“He is in his room, getting drunk, and I don’t know what to do with him,” Cora added. Zia looked at Clint, and thankfully, her man did not mind. Clint said, “In whatever way Zia and I can help, but I’ll stay close by.”They had dinner first, but the Masons had no appetite the entire time. Zia and Helena often consoled them in between. Zia’s mother told Cora, “Better that the relationship ended early rather than after marriage. It’s a blessing in disguise.”When dinner was over, Zia and Clint walked back with the Masons to Kent’s room. From what she was told, Sonia had moved to her parent’s room. Thus, Kent had been by himself all afternoon until that evening. Zia rang the doorbell, but Kent screamed, “Go away! Go away -”“Kent, it’s me, Zia! Do you want to talk
“Cuddle Muffin,” Zia called while lying next to Clint. “I feel bad for Kent. The resort said there is no refund whatsoever.”Clint and Zia were back in their villa, getting ready to sleep. They had spent two hours with Kent, offering him advice and listening to his frustration. After that, Kent appeared to have regained his reasons. It also helped that Brian came to speak to Kent and gave advice based on his recent experience with Cliare Monet. “Well, Sweet Lips.” Clint urged Zia to rest on his arm. He pulled her closer to him and answered, “It’s a very last-minute cancellation. The resort will lose a lot of money if they give any refund.”Zia made a face and remarked, “I know. I just feel bad for him. I wished there was another way for him to get at least half of the money -”An idea crept into Zia’s head. She asked, “What about the conference? There is always a special dinner at the end of it -”“That’s already been paid for too, Zia,” Clint revealed. “Oh, well, too bad,” Zia said.
"I want to try a new look and surprise you," Zia told Clint. "I'm doing my hair and makeup at the resort's salon and spa. I'll change there too, so that means I'll see you at the dinner party.""Wow, I wanna try another look too!" Clint responded. "Really?" Zia reacted with a smile. "I'd like to see that.""Yeah. That means I will also change at the spa," Clint suggested, and Zia cracked up. "No! I wanted to surprise you!" Zia declared. She put her arm around Clint and kissed him briefly. Then, she requested, "Please, Cuddle Muffin."Clint sighed and responded, "Fine, but don't take too long.""Ah, you miss me already?" Zia teased before requesting a shuttle to take them. The day of the anniversary dinner arrived. Guests were coming from Bradford's side, plus the Kings and the Eros family. Of course, since the Masons were still around, Clint invited them too as a courtesy, and Zia thought that was very considerate of Clint. With only an hour and a half to go, Zia left the villa wit
"Shut up! Shut up! I can't sleep! Ahh!" Claire shrieked at her baby girl, who had been crying for the past two hours. The baby was in the crib in the apartment's living room. The door to their apartment suddenly burst open, and William Barlowe entered. He frowned and scolded, "Why are you screaming at our daughter? She is just a baby! What's wrong with you?""What's wrong with me?" Claire asked back, weeping. "This isn't the life I wanted! Why can't you hire a nanny for the baby? Where did all your money go?"William rushed to the baby and consoled her. Then, he turned to Claire, saying, "Have you forgotten I lost everything after the divorce? I still need to give child support to my other kids!" "Regardless of how little money I have, this is no way to treat a baby! Don't you love our child?" William asked. "I - I can't live like this? William, I - I should leave the baby to you," Claire said in desperation. Claire barely has any money left with her, either. Most of it was spent o
