Chapter 128: You Are My Father

Riley's heart was racing as she and Adrian waited for Charles Eros. Their assigned table was in the center of the venue. They had already determined that Charles' table was at the front-most, so it would be impossible to miss him.

Max approached Adrian and reported, "I checked the guest list, Sir. Mr. Eros had, in fact, checked in."

"Good, that means he is attending," Adrian said.

"This is nerve-wracking," Riley commented.

"I have a feeling that today is the day," Abner remarked from across the table.

"You still haven't told me what we will do when we see Charles," Anthony stated.

Riley and Adrian looked at each other. They contemplated telling Anthony, but Abner unexpectedly said, "Charles is here."

Fortunately, they did not have to wait long. All their heads snapped in the door's direction, and Riley saw a tall man in a well-fitted suit. He looked healthy despite being already in his early fifties. He had copper brown hair and very little grays.
