Side chapter: 02

"Sister, didn't you just celebrate your first wedding anniversary last April, so why are you getting married again?"

"Well, your sister promised that we will have a double wedding," Psyche interrupted.

"I see. I also want to have a double wedding with my first bestfriend," says Savinah.

"You're too young to get married! Mom, watch over this kid, she's blabbering about marriage," she scolded her younger sister but the latter only rolled her eyes. Then, Samira and Saniah only laughed.

"Duh, I didn't say I am going to marry at this age," Savinah retracted.

Serina was about to respond, but the bridal car had arrived already.

“I’ll see you at the church, sissy.” Saniah kissed Serina’s cheek.

Xavier asked his wife to take their child, and Saniah agreed and he said, “I thought I wouldn’t have such a time where I could genuinely congratulate you for being married to someone else, but I’m glad it happened. I am sincerely congratulating you this time, sister-in-law.”

Serina smiled at the thought that this thing would not be possible if she didn’t travel back in time, since there are a lot of things she didn’t know before she died which would not be revealed if it wasn’t for the god's blessings. 

She uttered, “I’m glad you two seemed to find the story where you are the lead characters.”

On their way to the church, her husband requested a videocall, but she declined it, so Vincaster dialed his mother-in-law to ask if something had happened to Serina.

"You didn't answer your phone, don't tell me you two fought the night before or this morning?

Serina looked away and told her mother the reason why she is somewhat irritated with her husband. 

"So, you got mad this morning because you asked him to bake cookies but it took him some time because he had to wait for them to be perfectly baked. Then, he asked you if you want to order instead because you said you were hungry and couldn't wait any longer?"

She nodded her head.

"Are you crazy, sister? Why would you get mad over a trivial thing? It's not like he has the power to hasten the process of baking? He even asked you if you wanted instant cookies because my brother-in-law wanted to give you what you wanted, yet you got mad at him."

"If my assumption is correct, then you must be p-"

"Ma'am, we're here."

'I'm what?' says the voice inside her head, but she couldn't ask her mother because the ceremony had started when she got out of the bridal car.

The huge door of Manila Cathedral had opened as the glamorous brides entered. At the end of the aisle was a corner where their dazzling grooms were waiting.

Serina was feeling sick but she ignored it. She had endured it until the exchange of vows were over. 

When Viscaster was about to kiss Serina, the bride used her palm to stop him. Her husband thought his wife was still mad at him over the cookies incident this morning, little did he know Serina felt nausea and she was afraid to vomit at his husband's face.

The matrimony ended with the throwing of flowers and the setting free of two doves. It was during picture taking when Serina fainted, so everyone panicked especially Vincaster. She lifted her and brought her to the nearest hospital.

The supposed reception still happened, however, the highlight couples of the event and Serina's family were in the hospital, waiting for the doctor.

Vincaster was the first to nag the doctor about Serina's situation, but only to receive a tap on his shoulder. 

"I want an answer! What does that supposed to mean?!" He was in rage already, so her mother-in-law had to calm him because he looked like a tiger whose fangs were ready to bite the doctor.

"Congratulations," says the doctor.

"I appreciate congratulations for our wedding today. But it wasn’t what I asked for. Tell me how she is?" he asked as he tried his best to calm down.

"I'm not just congratulating you on your wedding. I also mean congratulations because you are going to be a dad," says the doctor while chuckling. The doctor is used to such reactions since it's not the first time had witnessed men finding out their wives were conceiving a child.

"D-dad? You mean..."

"Yes, your wife is in her three weeks of pregnancy."

"Yes! I hit the spot!" he said while jumping like a guy who won a lottery.

"Omg! My babies will have a playmate!"

Daniel was confused upon hearing his wife's statement, he had no idea at first because his mind is having system errors. 

"It was supposed to be a surprise, but I got so excited. I ran my mouth and spilled my surprise for you, honey."

"You're not pulling a prank, were you?" Daniel asked because there was also a time when Psyche pulled a prank that they are going to have a baby but it turned out she was just teasing him.

"The seeds you planted inside my womb are already six weeks old," she replied while smiling from ear to ear, accompanied by a swaying of her eyebrows.
