Chapter 82 Brothers For Life

Xander groaned inwardly, dropping his pen in frustration. Working and concentrating seem more complicated than usual. He didn’t realize how much Jace's presence impacted him until now. Their mother has always said that Jace is like their father whenever he avoids someone. He probably should have taken it seriously and not offended him.

At the same time, apologizing doesn’t seem appropriate on his end. His ego is the problem if he has to be sincere. He sighed heavily and almost looked hopeful when the door opened to let someone in. Xander’s shoulder fell when it turned out to be Dawn. For a second, he hoped it would be Jace.

“Hey, you,” Dawn mumbled with a big smile.

He almost cringed at it. It's been a while since they acted that friendly to each other. Not on his end, though. “Hi.”

“I need you to sign these documents.” She said, placing the file on his table.

“You could have sent someone to bring it or just handed it to Lisa,” Xander
