"You mean she..." Percival's dry lips trembled.

"What?" Oliver looked at Percival in confusion, trying to read his expression.

Percival's face remained as deep and calm as ever, but looking closer, you could see something flickering in his bloodshot eyes. His dark pupils seemed to dance with an unsteady light.

Percival lowered his gaze and ultimately said nothing.

"It's nothing." He was preparing for the worst outcome.
