*Sudhir Pov*

I stopped myself from doing what she asked and lifted her up in my arms after getting up and she stared at me confused.

“Let’s go to sleep.” I said, placing her on our bed, and I lay down beside her which she continued to look at me confused.

“Good night!” She mumbled, closing her eyes, and I pulled her to me.

“Good night!” I whispered back.

I stared at her sleeping face and smiled to myself. She is in my world too, along with Ayesha. I thought, smiling more and decided to tell her that, but stopped thinking I should tell her in a special way.

I woke up along with her and said I will prepare the breakfast for us today. She nodded without putting up a fight, which I thought she would.

“Happy birthday, Mom.” Ayesha rushed downstairs holding something in her hands.

“Thank you, dear.” Nisha said, hugging her.

“Here!” Ayesha said, giving her a paper.

I walked towards them and saw a drawing of a man, a woman and a kid. On top of them, she wrote Mom, Dad and me.

*Nisha Pov* I didn’t open my eyes, but I am fully awake and started remembering each and everything from yesterday night. Oh, god! What have we done? I thought, but didn’t remove my hand from his waist. Is everything true what he told me yesterday? How can he even love me like that? Will he regret? I hope so, not because I am going to kill him as this is not my fault. He was the one who looked at me so intently that I wanted to let go of any fear I had for this intimacy. I am thinking all this, but I didn’t remove my head from his chest. I am too comfortable to even think about moving away. Oh, god! What have we really done? I am sure there will be awkwardness towards each other from the moment we wake up opening our eyes. Maybe I should get up before him and leave the room to save us from more awkwardness. Yes! That’s what I should do. I moved a little to remove myself from his grip with still closed eyes, but I stopped abruptly. Why am I moving away? I am his wife! And I ha

But I suddenly yelped when he pinched my neck. I threw a glare at him and then continued to stir frowning. “Did it pained?” he asked. “Yes!” I replied, lying. “Ok!” he mumbled and suddenly started kissing there. “Hey! We are in the kitchen.” I said, trying to release myself, but he has a strong hold on me. “So?” he mumbled and started making a hickey there in short words. “I don’t want to pour sugar instead of salt.” I replied and turned around in his arms turning off the stove. “Looking good.” He said smiling. “Thanks.” I whispered. “I am not talking about you. I am talking about the hickey.” He said rolling his eyes. “Ayesha! What is your Dad’s name?” I shouted from the kitchen, and he frowned at

*Sudhir Pov* “Are you fine?” I asked her when I entered the home and saw her on the couch studying. “I am fine.” She replied, continuing to study. “What did the doctor said?” I said, sitting beside her. “Nothing! Just some casual weakness.” She replied shrugging. “Mom is sad.” Ayesha said, walking towards us and Nisha stiffened. “Why?” I asked both. “She didn’t write the exam well.” Ayesha replied. “Hey! Are you sad because you will not get 90%?” I asked her joking, but she just smiled and continued to stare at her books. “You go and study Ayesha. After one week, you are free.” I said, and she nodded leaving to her room. “So are you really sad?” I asked turning towards her. “No! Just tensed for the next exam.” She replied, and I nodded. I pulled her leg and started rubbing her feet, which got her attention, and she immediately moved her leg away. “What are you doing?” She asked me shocked. “You are tensed and I am trying to make you lose it.” I replied. “It’s ok! So that is why finally.” I replied. “You know I was busy at the office right.” He said frowning. “Did I say something to you? Don’t worry, we both had our own fun roaming the whole Mumbai in these two weeks.” I said smiling, and Ayesha smiled at me. “And you both forgot about me.” He said complainingly. “You were busy at the office right.” I said and chuckled at his glaring face. “Where are we going?” he asked and I called my Mom to see where she is. “She is at Aunt’s house.” I replied hanging up. “Why don’t we wait by your Mom’s home?” He asked pleadingly. “We don’t have to meet her for the time we stay here if we go there now. Come on she is not that bad.” I replied as he called for a taxi. “That

*Nisha Pov* “So how are you feeling right now?” Bhabhi asked as we both are preparing food for all of us. As Aunt requested, we chose to stay here for a few days and then return to Mom’s home. “I am fine, but just feeling little dizziness.” I replied, and he nodded. “I am also feeling sleepy for the number of times in a day and of course my tears want to say ‘Hi’ too for Sudhir the whole day.” I added and we both laughed. “Your brother went through hell at my time or that’s what he says all the time. But inside, they all enjoy these things as they feel connected to the baby growing inside our womb.” Bhabhi said, and I nodded. “Mom told me at my time all these things.” She added, and I looked at her surprised. “Don’t be so surprised. Your Mother is a very good mother-in-law to me.” She said, and I laughed at her. “I am sure she is.” I said sighing. “Hey! She talked so much about you near us. Mom and Aunty will be here along with Uncle in a few minutes.” He said and I nodded, leaning back in the chair but tears haven’t stopped falling. I got up when I heard the operating room door opening. I walked near the doctor and asked, “How is he?” “He is no longer in danger. But...” he trailed off. “But?” I asked him tensed. “The attacks were on the back portion of the head. We need to put him in the observation and hope that he doesn’t go into a coma." He replied. “What?” I asked him in a shocked whisper. “He may not too.” He replied looking at me. “When will he wak

*Sudhir Pov* I never thought I would be this scared in my life. I was scared when Ayesha was about to be born, but this time it was more than that. “There is no danger, right?” I asked the doctor as she concentrated on the delivery. “Like I said Mr.Arora. There is a very little complication and no need to worry that much.” She replied, and I tightened my hold on Nisha’s hand. “Everything will be fine Sudhir.” Nisha said with tears falling from her eyes, and her grip on my hand was tight. “You should have told me Nisha.” I said kissing her hand. “I just got to know one month back and there is nothing we can do about it.” She said and screamed with pain. “I love you and please don’t leave me alone.” I pleaded with her. “I love you too, but promise me one thing.” She said taking a long gulp of air. “Don’t say what I am thinking you will say.” I said shaking my head. “Promise me that you will take care of both our kids and take the help of my Mom and Aunt.” She said. “Of course

Don’t talk to her like that.” We heard the warning from the back seat. I turned towards my Bhabhi Sangeetha saying, “Thank you Bhabhi.” “And you Nisha, stop stating something which he already knows.” She said and then continued to hold safely the sleeping form of my one-year-old nephew Jai. “You don’t know Bhabhi. Mom and all the relatives will say I don’t even have a heart like always.” I said, thinking about the memories where I was told the same words again and again. “You are not close to her so it was not compulsory for you to be there before because we were told she would be fine.” Bhai said calmly. “But she is the only cousin Bhai and is elder to us. We were close to her when we were kids.” I said. “No! We were never close to her, but you tried to be close to so many years until six years back, and I don’t
