*Nisha Pov*

“So how was your day today?” I asked Ayesha when she returned from the camp in the evening.

It’s been one week since she joined the camp and also for me since I joined cooking classes.

“I drew a cake.” She said and immediately opened her bag.

“It is beautiful Ayesha.” I said, looking at it.

“Let’s place it on the refrigerator.” I said, and she nodded smiling.

We both walked to the fridge and placed the paper on it using the magnet. We both smiled seeing it.

“You should draw so many that it will be difficult for us to open the fridge.” I said looking at her.

“Then where will we keep Ice creams?” She asked frowning.

“You ask your Dad to buy another one.” I replied, and she laughed.

“What did you learn today?” She asked, and I smiled at her.

“How to make a cake.” I replied, and she grinned at me.

“Make one for me.” She pleaded with those eyes, and of course I couldn’t say no to her.

“Ok! Will you help me?” I asked her, and she nodded excitedly.

*Nisha Pov* “Is your hand ok now?” That’s what he asked entering the house. As for me, I am reading some magazine sitting on the couch. I looked up and replied “It is fine. It’s been one week, so it healed properly.” “If you want more aloe vera gel, I can bring it from my room.” He said looking at me. “No! I am fine and the bottle you gave me before is enough.” I said, and he nodded. “You are not going to cooking class right?” he asked, sitting on the other end of the couch. “No, as you specifically said I shouldn’t go there until you say." I replied sighing. “Good!” He said and stared at my hand. “Why are you terrified of burns?” I asked him frowning. “Nothing...” He replied shaking his head. “Ok!” I said shrugging and continued to read the magazine. “Where is Ayesha?” He asked, and I turned to see that he is looking around. “She is in her room doing some task, she got in today’s camp.” I replied and again continued to read when he nodded. “I am terrified of those from t

*Sudhir Pov* After a few days, I am finally sitting work free on the couch watching a cricket match. Even though the workload reduced than the last year it is still piling over so much with the new clients and new projects. “Boring!” Ayesha said, sitting beside me. “Shall I put cartoon?” I asked her. “Yes!” She shouted excitedly. “Boring!” I said and continued to watch cricket. “You are mean Dad.” She said, and I glanced at her to see her pout. “And you are mean Daughter.” I said smiling. “Why?” She asked, frowning. “You are not letting me read any story to you from the past few weeks.” I replied shrugging. “If you can read me a story today, will you put cartoon?” She asked smiling. “After a few minutes I will.” I replied and turned to watch. “But I will not be here.” She whined. “Why? Today is Sunday, right?” I asked her frowning because I thought she has a holiday for camp. “Ayesha! Shall we go?” Nisha asked her walking towards us. “Where are you both going? Did I mi

*Nisha Pov* I woke up hearing my phone blazing near my ear. I frowned lifting it up and said, “Hello!” “You are still sleeping?” Pavani shouted from the other side. “I am just sleeping and you need not shout at me like that.” I said groaning. “Get up and get ready fast.” She said and I immediately sat up. “Why? Is something wrong?” I asked her frowning. “No! But today there is some prayer for the new house or something. My Mom asked me to call my friends, and I have already called Rajeev.” She replied. “Now?” I asked her looking at the clock to see that it is just 6. “You need to be here at 8.” She replied. “Then why are you calling me at this time?” I asked her whining. “Because I want you to get ready beautiful and wear a Saree. You look really good in that or that’s what I think, and Rajeev will pick you up sharply at 7:30.” Saying that she hung up. I rolled my eyes and started getting ready. If I don’t wear a Saree, then she will kill me for sure so I chose one and fini

*Sudhir Pov* “That is cheating.” Ayesha said, frowning at me. “That is not at all cheating.” I said, moving my game piece near the ladder and immediately got three rows up. “You are cheating with the dice.” She said whining. “It is not my mistake that you are getting eaten by snakes.” I said shaking my head. “So playing snakes and ladders?” Nisha asked, walking to the couch. “Yes! And he is cheating.” Ayesha replied, pointing me. “That’s very bad Sudhir.” Nisha said, shaking her head. “Hey! I am not cheating.” I said, looking at both of them. “Here I will throw the dice for you.” She said taking it from Ayesha and threw it. “Big ladder!” Ayesha suddenly jumped in excitement after counting the numbers, and I sulked in my place. “Play more.” Ayesha urged her. “Actually, I need to go somewhere.” Nisha said guiltily. “Where?” I asked her frowning. “I am going outside to a movie with my friends. It was planned last week, and I think I forgot to inform you.” She replied. “Oh!

*Nisha Pov* “Wake up, Ayesha!” I said waking her up but yawning myself. Today is so cold and it is even clouded. I am feeling so lazy myself, so I can’t say anything to Ayesha for not getting up. “Please, Ayesha. We both will get late.” I said, massaging her hair. “I want to sleep.” She said slowly opening her eyes. “Even I want to but we both also don’t want to skip our classes’ right.” I said yawning. “How about we both sleep early today?” I asked her, and she nodded getting up finally. She got ready while I too started getting ready. I walked downstairs to find that Sudhir is preparing our breakfast. “I would have done that right.” I said walking inside the kitchen. “I know the weather is so cold and Ayesha will wake up late, but you managed not to let her, so I decided to do this.” He explained and continued to make it. “Even I was feeling lazy.” I said yawning again. “Today it is surprisingly cold.” He said nodding. “Oh, no!” I said, looking outside the window after f

*Nisha Pov* “Nisha!” I heard him calling from downstairs because of which I woke up from my early sleep. “What?” I asked, walking outside my room. “I have searched everywhere but I can’t find Ayesha.” He replied. “She is with me and we both are sleeping so don’t disturb us.” I said and walked inside my room. “Why is Dad calling you?” Ayesha said yawning. “He is searching for you everywhere. But I told him that you are here.” I replied, and she nodded while I lay down on my bed beside her. She hugged me and drifted off into sleep. I smiled remembering how she walked inside my room directly when I suggested we take a nap after finishing our works. I hugged her back and slid off into sleep patting her slowly. I woke up again after some time hearing my phone ringing. “Hello!” I said, lifting the call. “We can’t come to India this week.” I heard all too depressing voices of my brother’s. “And I am not going to kill you for that so don’t worry.” I said smiling. “But I want to ki

*Nisha Pov* I woke up hearing the door bell groaning. Who is it at this time? I thought getting up. First of all, what time is it actually! I thought and turned to see that it is only 5am. I am going to get rid of whoever it is. I got up and immediately hissed feeling my feet hit some stool. When did some stool start staying in my room and that too on my side of the bed? I looked around and remembered that this is actually his room, and as he asked I came here to stay. I need to ask him why he wants me to be. Does he want our relationship to make progress? However, he said we are friends right. I thought walking outside the room and tied my hair into a bun. Maybe he wants even more than that from our relation. I smiled a little hoping that the reason is something like that. I am not saying I will be on cloud nine hearing that, but I will surely feel hope again, which I left a few months back completely without a doubt. With that new thought, I opened the door and looked at th

*Nisha Pov* As usual like every day I woke up from his bed and finished all the work and then decided to wake Ayesha up ruffling her hair. Nevertheless, when I touched her forehead, I felt her burning up. I walked inside his room and searched for the thermometer and got it in the last cupboard. I walked back and checked the temperature, and it was nearly 100. I slowly woke her up and asked, “Are you feeling any throat pain?” “Little!” She replied. “I will just be back.” I said making her lay again and went inside his room. I got ready and then started waking him up. He opened his eyes, groaning and asked, “What happened?” “Ayesha has a fever and I think it is better to take her to the hospital.” I replied. “What?” he asked immediately getting up. “I will get her ready, and in the meantime you get ready.” I said walking outside his room and just made her change her clothes. “Are you ready?” I asked, knocking on his door holding her. “Yeah! Let’s go.” He replied, opening the

*Sudhir Pov* I never thought I would be this scared in my life. I was scared when Ayesha was about to be born, but this time it was more than that. “There is no danger, right?” I asked the doctor as she concentrated on the delivery. “Like I said Mr.Arora. There is a very little complication and no need to worry that much.” She replied, and I tightened my hold on Nisha’s hand. “Everything will be fine Sudhir.” Nisha said with tears falling from her eyes, and her grip on my hand was tight. “You should have told me Nisha.” I said kissing her hand. “I just got to know one month back and there is nothing we can do about it.” She said and screamed with pain. “I love you and please don’t leave me alone.” I pleaded with her. “I love you too, but promise me one thing.” She said taking a long gulp of air. “Don’t say what I am thinking you will say.” I said shaking my head. “Promise me that you will take care of both our kids and take the help of my Mom and Aunt.” She said. “Of course

*Nisha Pov* “Shh... Everything will be fine Nisha.” Bhai said, rubbing my shoulders. “No Bhai! He can’t leave me like that.” I said crying more. “If you be like this, then who will console Ayesha?” He said, and I stopped crying. “She is in the house right?” I asked him, and he nodded. “Ask Bhabhi to let them stay there until we know something.” I said, and he nodded. “I will go and bring some coffee for us. Mom and Aunty will be here along with Uncle in a few minutes.” He said and I nodded, leaning back in the chair but tears haven’t stopped falling. I got up when I heard the operating room door opening. I walked near the doctor and asked, “How is he?” “He is no longer in danger. But...” he trailed off. “But?” I asked him tensed. “The attacks were on the back portion of the head. We need to put him in the observation and hope that he doesn’t go into a coma." He replied. “What?” I asked him in a shocked whisper. “He may not too.” He replied looking at me. “When will he wak

*Nisha Pov* “So how are you feeling right now?” Bhabhi asked as we both are preparing food for all of us. As Aunt requested, we chose to stay here for a few days and then return to Mom’s home. “I am fine, but just feeling little dizziness.” I replied, and he nodded. “I am also feeling sleepy for the number of times in a day and of course my tears want to say ‘Hi’ too for Sudhir the whole day.” I added and we both laughed. “Your brother went through hell at my time or that’s what he says all the time. But inside, they all enjoy these things as they feel connected to the baby growing inside our womb.” Bhabhi said, and I nodded. “Mom told me at my time all these things.” She added, and I looked at her surprised. “Don’t be so surprised. Your Mother is a very good mother-in-law to me.” She said, and I laughed at her. “I am sure she is.” I said sighing. “Hey! She talked so much about you near us. She always was proud of you, but then after your eighteenth birthday, she kind of clos

*Nisha Pov* “Finally!” I said after landing in Pune. “What do you mean finally?” Sudhir asked, holding two bags as, I held one small one and held Ayesha’s hand in the other. “Well, we decided to be here two weeks back, but it took us all these many days to be free to come here. So that is why finally.” I replied. “You know I was busy at the office right.” He said frowning. “Did I say something to you? Don’t worry, we both had our own fun roaming the whole Mumbai in these two weeks.” I said smiling, and Ayesha smiled at me. “And you both forgot about me.” He said complainingly. “You were busy at the office right.” I said and chuckled at his glaring face. “Where are we going?” he asked and I called my Mom to see where she is. “She is at Aunt’s house.” I replied hanging up. “Why don’t we wait by your Mom’s home?” He asked pleadingly. “We don’t have to meet her for the time we stay here if we go there now. Come on she is not that bad.” I replied as he called for a taxi. “That

*Sudhir Pov* “Are you fine?” I asked her when I entered the home and saw her on the couch studying. “I am fine.” She replied, continuing to study. “What did the doctor said?” I said, sitting beside her. “Nothing! Just some casual weakness.” She replied shrugging. “Mom is sad.” Ayesha said, walking towards us and Nisha stiffened. “Why?” I asked both. “She didn’t write the exam well.” Ayesha replied. “Hey! Are you sad because you will not get 90%?” I asked her joking, but she just smiled and continued to stare at her books. “You go and study Ayesha. After one week, you are free.” I said, and she nodded leaving to her room. “So are you really sad?” I asked turning towards her. “No! Just tensed for the next exam.” She replied, and I nodded. I pulled her leg and started rubbing her feet, which got her attention, and she immediately moved her leg away. “What are you doing?” She asked me shocked. “You are tensed and I am trying to make you lose it.” I replied. “It’s ok! *Nisha Pov* “What are you doing?” Sudhir asked, walking inside the kitchen in the evening after returning from office. “I am washing clothes.” I replied and continued to stir the tomato soup. “Very funny.” He said hugging me from behind. “I was not trying to.” I said smiling. But I suddenly yelped when he pinched my neck. I threw a glare at him and then continued to stir frowning. “Did it pained?” he asked. “Yes!” I replied, lying. “Ok!” he mumbled and suddenly started kissing there. “Hey! We are in the kitchen.” I said, trying to release myself, but he has a strong hold on me. “So?” he mumbled and started making a hickey there in short words. “I don’t want to pour sugar instead of salt.” I replied and turned around in his arms turning off the stove. “Looking good.” He said smiling. “Thanks.” I whispered. “I am not talking about you. I am talking about the hickey.” He said rolling his eyes. “Ayesha! What is your Dad’s name?” I shouted from the kitchen, and he frowned at

*Nisha Pov* I didn’t open my eyes, but I am fully awake and started remembering each and everything from yesterday night. Oh, god! What have we done? I thought, but didn’t remove my hand from his waist. Is everything true what he told me yesterday? How can he even love me like that? Will he regret? I hope so, not because I am going to kill him as this is not my fault. He was the one who looked at me so intently that I wanted to let go of any fear I had for this intimacy. I am thinking all this, but I didn’t remove my head from his chest. I am too comfortable to even think about moving away. Oh, god! What have we really done? I am sure there will be awkwardness towards each other from the moment we wake up opening our eyes. Maybe I should get up before him and leave the room to save us from more awkwardness. Yes! That’s what I should do. I moved a little to remove myself from his grip with still closed eyes, but I stopped abruptly. Why am I moving away? I am his wife! And I ha

I stared at her sleeping face and smiled to myself. She is in my world too, along with Ayesha. I thought, smiling more and decided to tell her that, but stopped thinking I should tell her in a special way. I woke up along with her and said I will prepare the breakfast for us today. She nodded without putting up a fight, which I thought she would. “Happy birthday, Mom.” Ayesha rushed downstairs holding something in her hands. “Thank you, dear.” Nisha said, hugging her. “Here!” Ayesha said, giving her a paper. I walked towards them and saw a drawing of a man, a woman and a kid. On top of them, she wrote Mom, Dad and me. “It i

We both are fine.” I said smiling. “I will not hear anything else.” He said with no place for argument. “Bye!” I said and was about to get down, but he stopped me holding my hand. “Here!” he said, placing a chocolate. “Chocolate?” I asked him looking at the way it bent, and it is cold. “I actually bought it yesterday but forgot to give it to you.
