Chapter 3: The Werewolves

Nieves' Point of View

The moment she said it, it means she abandoned her race. The deity appears out of nowhere.

The Dryad is kneeling after her. It seems like she accepted her fate and punishment upon abandoning her comrades.

But what's the point of staying, if your race doesn't seek peace? If I were to answer, I will run away from that cruelty. As much as I wanted to, I beseech for tranquility and peace for my life and for others as well.

“My lady, I expected this scenario, the moment I answered her. I know this is the punishment and I will gladly accept it, as long as I am living, that's enough,” she stated.

The Deity remains silent, “You are aware of the consequences and I hope you won't regret this decision.”

The Dryad keeps on lowering her head. She didn't speak, but you can feel that her decision is decided and final.

The Deity heaved a sigh, “By the power bestowed upon me and as the ruler of this rule, I shall grant you a punishment,” she spoke.

“I shall bestow your appearance with darkness. You will be the Dark Dryad, but people perceived you as the witch like these two,” she said.

She meant us. The Dryad remains kneeling after her, “Grant me that punishment, but don't corrupt my soul, my lady.”

“Your heart is what will corrupt you, but I know that it is composed with light.”

The power is too bright and it pains my eyes, that's why I closed and look away from it.

When the light finally shut off. The Diety disappeared and the Dryad's appearance changed.

She looked like me. She's still kneeling, that's why I slowly walked to her and hugged her from the back.

It is hard, I know, but we need to sacrifice our other desires to commit peacefulness.

She smiled. She didn't cry, but I know she's sad. We are in the middle of the corpses of her race.

“Do not think that you betray them. In fact, you're going to save their family. I'm sure they will understand,” I added.

“Thank you.”

“What's your name again?” I asked.

“Yuri, my lady.”

“Such astonishing name. It suits you. I am Nieves and this girl behind me is Joy, The Fairy,” I introduced.

“Well then, my lord. Can I have a favor? At least this once?” She asked.

I let her go from hugging and I smiled at her, “As always. What is it that I can do for you?”

“Help me bury the abode soul of my sisters,” she favored.

I nodded, sign as agreeing to what she requested. Since Joy can create things, she created coffins for them, including the warlocks we killed.

They deserved this, after all, they are just a victim of this injustice world. I looked at the sky and it is raining.

They are joining the anguish of Yuri. I patted her back, “You may cry now.”

Her facial expression is changing and that is the moment that her tears spreading and circulating on the ground.

She shouted her anger and agony. I feel bad for her, but this is life. We sometimes lost our loved ones and in order to honor them, we must not let their death in vain.

It is still afternoon and we have time to walk around, that's why after these cries of Dryad, we will begin to move.

The Deity can manipulate nature. She will be useful for us, that's why I'll make sure to be useful for her as well.

I need to do my best to protect them and to acquire what we dream and what we seek.

I heard this rumor from my town before. The Warlocks' leader knew who's behind all of these wars.

The leader is about to unleash the mystery to the werewolves' king, but they are both killed by an uncertain person.

The Warlocks suspected that the Werewolves killed their leader, for they think that the Werewolves' king is behind the war.

The Werewolves believe that the Warlocks betrayed the Werewolves' king and framed him up, for they claimed that the Warlocks' leader's objection wasn't to spread the information but to kill the Werewolves' king, since they are mortal enemies, since then.

I believed that they were both killed, but I supposed that the person who killed them is the person who's behind all of these.

Come to think of it, if I am the culprit, I will make sure that my secrets won't be unveiled, that's why I'll do anything to stop it from spreading.

The Werewolves and Warlocks were framed up by this belief, that's why they became the mortal enemies again.

I keep on assuming that the person behind all of these is still alive, that's why if there's a chance that I will be going to see that person, I will chop his head and bring back the old peace.

Yuri finally stood up and moved on from what she experienced, that's why we began our journey.

I don't know what lies ahead, that's why I should prepare myself for the worst.

Third Person's Point of View

Nieves' Journey finally has started. Ahead of them is an obstacle that they needed to destroy.

On the other space, the pack of Werewolves. They are celebrating their victories.

They came from the war, fighting against Wizard. They may have lost a lot of comrades, but they stand on the winning side.

They unsealed the spell. They are great when it comes to close combat, but it will be hard for them during the start of the war.

The Prince of the Werewolves is the one who brings the victory. He used his fang to chop it off.

The Wizard is indeed strong, but once they are in close combat, the table will turn itself.

In order to win, they must organize a well-prepared strategy, but they are outweighed by the knowledge of Werewolves' Prince.

He is Keifer, the Prince of Werewolves. What made him strong is his strength and how he cope up with a strategy.

He has an Older Brother named Castriel. He's supposed to be the successor of their father named Krimson, but he refused to accept their offer.

He preferred to serve his younger brother, that's why he ended up being subordinate to Prince Keifer.

They are the best partner when it comes to war. Keifer will be going to straight attack, while Castriel will support him from his back, so Keifer won't be worrying about someone harming him behind.

They have been through a lot of battles. They killed a lot of souls and clawed some heads.

But every time they will kill a bunch of people, they are going to ask them, but every time they will, some will offer their lives for their races and some answered to spare their lives, but in the end, they won't stick from their words.

They have no choice. As much as they wanted to, they are saving someone's life, but they must save their life as well.

Not because it is their desire, but it is necessary to do so. Just like Nieves' dream, Keifer also waiting for that moment to come.

Unlike, Castriel. He will follow the path of his father, even if he doesn't want to. He respected his father and follow his order, but not on sitting his throne.

After drinking beer and wine, both of them walked away from the crowd and go to the place where they feel comfortable. The edge of the mountain.

Feeling the breeze of the wind of how it caressed their skin. How fresh it is. Adding the fact that the environment is too quiet.

“Brother, why didn't you sit on the throne?” Keifer asked.

He's been hiding that question, since then, but now is his time to ask about it. He's afraid to ask that question to his brother.

He doesn't know why he suddenly asked that question like it brought no fear to him anymore.

Castriel heaved a sigh, some people are asking him about this question and he did his best to avoid it. Gladly, he managed to do so.

“In the first place, I want to acquire the throne, but not in this way that you sacrifice it for me. I want to get it in my own way,” Keifer expressed.

Her older brother looked at him with awe. He didn't expect that his brother is like this. The person who wanted to get anything on his own.

“I wanted to protect you, Brother. By my own hand. I want to give that position to you, as well. I am not that kind of person whose will is to protect people. I only choose who I wanted to protect and that is you,” Castriel unveiled his thought.

But Keifer is not convinced, yet. He is not contented with the answer of his older brother.

But he has no choice, but to accept it. This is his fate and he must live up on it.

After all, the throne is still what he desired.

“Thank you so much, Brother. I need to go,” he said and walked away from where they are.

He is wandering all around with the thought of it. He's thinking about how his Brother loves him, but he doesn't want to be protected.

He wants to protect, not to be defended. He admires his brother for being strong.

While thinking of it, he heard someone sneaking from the bush. He transformed himself into a wolf.

His wolf form is a color of snow. His claws are too sharp that they can chop off someone's body in one strike. The skin of him is too thick that using arrow or swords won't work. It will only reflect you.

He looked around. He's alone and he feels that there are a lot of people surrounding him, that's why he prepared himself from being attacked.

When he heard that someone is coming from him, he jumped. He observed that person and he found that it is a warlock.

Warlock is a really dirty player, huh? He thought.

He's growling, a sign that he's going to attack. The warlock is running and he is following the warlock.

“Running is not a choice. Face what you did,” he said while chasing the warlock.

The warlock didn't answer and that's how he found out that they are setting traps for him, but still he insisted to follow him.

He must eliminate the Warlocks before it will eliminate someone from his pack.

While running he can sense that someone is also following him from the back, that's why he looked back and wounding them.

He stepped on both of their bodies and ask, “Get away from here and I will spare your lives.”

Warlocks' eyes are terrified, that's why both of them nodded. Keifer stepped away from their bodies and looked away.

But then the Warlocks are about to stab him from the back. Warlocks are like a wizard, they can cast spells, that's why Warlocks is a worthy opponent of Werewolves.

They applied poison and increase the sharpness of their weapon, before they could hit Keifer, Castriel appears out of nowhere and cut their bodies.

“Don't let your guard down,” his brother stated.

He's shock of finding out that he almost died. Keifer heaved a sigh and speak.

“Thank you for saving me again, Brother,” he sincerely acknowledged.

“Now is not the time for that. We must find those warlocks. I've been observing you from afar and I found out that you chased them, that's why I came after you,” her brother said.

“Sorry for being reckless,” Keifer Apologized.

At that moment, Keifer's wisdom about sparing someone's life didn't cross out to his mind.

If I need to spit blood, then I'll swallow their head and chew their meat. He thought to himself.
