There was no way the drug lord could possibly object to Jasmine's suggestion. In fact, he seemed impressed. He generously left behind three pounds of drugs and two men to assist her.

"You’re a despicable woman, but I admire that. If things don’t work out with the cops, you can always come work for me," he said, scribbling his phone number on a piece of paper.

"That will never happen." Jasmine scoffed, not even glancing at the number. "Because Sam and I will have a happy life."

Using my phone, Jasmine quickly sent a message to the police outside.

[There are bombs in the hideout. Don’t act rashly.]

Then, she played pre-recorded clips of the drug lord’s voice, releasing them little by little over the next few days to make it seem like the criminals were still holed up in the factory.
