I forced a smile at Logan, who looked happy being amid Peter and I.

“Where’s Tom!” Peter asked staring down the hallway probably hoping Tom would somehow barge into the bedroom. But I know Tom too well to have a hidden ego visible at such crucial times.

“Alright boys, I’d be in the kitchen making some cookies for you boys,” Peter’s Mother said as she walked out leaving Peter and I all to ourselves in the bedroom.

“Your mum makes the best cookies in the world,” I said and giggled grabbing a magazine on the floor.
