Chapter 98

Evelyn stood in the airport hall and immediately spotted a tall man among the crowd. Despite the sunglasses, she recognized him as William Bennett, Steven's grandson.

His choice of camouflage attire seemed oddly fashionable, reinforcing his moniker, "Heartthrob Trooper".

"Hi, William! I'm Evelyn Jefferson. Your grandfather sent me to pick you up," she said.

William quickly removed his sunglasses and gave Evelyn a once-over.

The sight of her replaced his cold demeanor with a warm smile, dimples and all.

"Evelyn, you're even prettier than in the photos," he said.

Evelyn might have mistaken him for someone else had he not called her by name. She wondered if this could really be the rebellious youth Steven had described. He seemed rather cute and quite polite.

Evelyn attempted to help with his luggage, but William refused outright.

"Evelyn, a man like me shouldn't let a lady carry the luggage," he insisted.
