Chapter 79

Charlie wondered where Warren would be if not in the dining room.

Charlie had a bad feeling and immediately ran upstairs. He was immediately choked by a strong smell of smoke when he opened the bedroom door.

Covering his nose, he walked in and opened the windows.

Turning around, he saw Warren sitting expressionlessly on the couch with an unlit cigarette between his lips.

The ashtray was overflowing with cigarette butts, and there was a pile of empty bottles on the floor.

Charlie instantly realized that this was Warren's post-breakup behavior.

He handed Warren a glass of warm water and said, "Mr. Larkin, perhaps I should reschedule your appointments for today. You could use a day to rest at home."

Warren raised his sunken eyes and hoarsely replied, "Am I that fragile?"

"Mr. Larkin, it's perfectly normal to feel sad. After all, you and Ms. Jefferson were together for three years. It's never easy to let go of someone, even if it's just a pet," Charlie remarked, delicately skir
