Ethan reminded Warren, "This matter can be pretty serious. It's easy for them to pin a baseless charge on you that involves national data. Are you sure you can get her out?"

"I can't be sure, but I can't just leave her there."

"But what about Evie? She's about to give birth. You can't leave her to give birth to the baby alone," Ethan pointed out.

Warren rubbed his temples. "I'll be back soon, it won't matter. Have Jazzie come over to keep her company."

Warren rushed home to find Evelyn taking a walk in the garden with Bailey. He felt a sudden urge to cry seeing her lonely figure.
