Chapter 417

Evelyn was still weak. She leaned against Simon and cried so much that she eventually fell asleep.

Seeing how sickly thin she was and recalling what she said earlier, Simon had a bad feeling. He gently caressed Evelyn's head. He was so heartbroken that his eyes turned bloodshot.

"Evie, did you figure something out?"

After Evelyn returned home, her tensed body suddenly relaxed completely. She spent most of two whole days asleep.

Although she was unconscious, Evelyn knew that many had visited her. She heard Jazzie scolding her while crying. She also felt Bonnie holding her hand while sobbing.

Evelyn wanted to open her eyes to look at them. Unfortunately, it felt as though her eyes were glued shut. She couldn't open them, no matter how hard she tried.

It was so bad that she couldn't differentiate between her dreams and reality.

She saw herself resting on her father's back. She also saw how Xena caused her to attempt suicide by jumping into the lake. At the time, Simon cried while h
