Synestra’s P.O.V.

Is he asking me to go away with him? Should I go? My mind was racing.  Part of me wanted to say yes, part of me knew I shouldn’t. I thought about what my best friends would say. I knew Aly would tell me to go while making some comment about sleeping with him. Albert would tell me I was crazy for considering it since I had only just met him last night.  Something about him made me feel like I could trust him. I felt safe with him.

“I’m sure I could come up with an excuse, but I would need to go home and pack.” I told him

“No need,” He smiled. “We will get you clothes when we land. Afterall Paris is known for their fashion”

“Wait, are you serious” I asked him. “Paris?”

“Yes, I have some business there and thought you might enjoy coming along with me.”  He said grabbing my hand and giving it a squeeze.

Just a few minutes later we were pulling into a private hangar at the airport. There was a small personal plane and a pilot waiting to greet us. The pilot ushered us into the plane. A flight attendant handed each of us a drink and Damien took his seat as I began to look around. The plane was magnificent. There were six very comfortable looking seats with tables between them, a full kitchen, a bedroom with a king sized bed, and a bathroom with a shower. I took a seat next to Damien.

“Is this yours?” I asked him, gesturing to everything around us.

“Is it too much?  Sometimes I forget my lifestyle can be a bit much when you aren't used to it.” He apologized

“No it’s perfect, I feel like a princess.” I smiled.  I looked around and noticed a shelf of books. I looked through them, mostly classics. When I came across Macbeth I pulled it from the shelf and went back to my seat to settle in for the rest of the flight.

“Macbeth? That's a great one.” Damien commented on my choice.

“It has always been my favorite Shakespeare play. I can't believe you have it here.” I settled into the book.  Several hours later we were landing in Paris.

“Mr. Raines, we have received word from the airport, news of your arrival has gotten out. Paparazzi and fans are surrounding the airport. I have contacted the security team, they will be meeting us there.” Amanda, The flight attendant told us. The door to the plane opened and Damien stepped out waving. I peeked around the corner seeing flashes everywhere. There were hundreds of people gathered, a narrow pathway to the limo lined by huge security guards. Girls were screaming Damien’s name, he really seemed in his element. He turned to look at me and extended his hand for me to come with him. I placed my hand in his and nervously stepped into the light. Flashes went off all over, I squinted trying to see with the blinding lights.  Damien led me down the stairs and to the limo. Reporters were screaming questions all around us. Damien, what sparked the surprise trip to paris?  Damien, will you be performing? Damien, who is the girl? Are you dating? Mademoiselle, tell us about yourself, how do you know Damien?

Damien squeezed my hand reassuringly as he opened the door to the limo for me. I dove in quickly, feeling relieved  to be away from the craziness that we just experienced. I couldn't help but wonder if this is what his life was always like. Is this what my life would be like if we were together?

“I’m so sorry about that, but I promise this trip will not all be like that. Let's get you to the hotel, I am sure you need some rest while I handle business.” He said pressing a kiss to my cheek. We arrived at the hotel and Damien walked me to my room. He opened the door and I walked in to see dozens of beautiful outfits and dresses that looked as if they had just left the runway. The room was filled with flowers and candy.  There had to be at least a hundred bouquets of different types of flowers. I turned to Damien and the smirk on his face clearly showed he had set all of this up.

“This is too much, I appreciate it but we are only going to be here a few days.” I told him.

“I want you to have the best that Paris has to offer. I also had the staff run you a warm bubble bath. There are a few essential oils and candles in the bathroom to choose from to enhance your bath. Feel free to order anything you want from room service.  This is a two bedroom suite so choose whichever room you would like. I will be back later.”  He wrapped his arm around my waist and brought me to him.  I wrapped my arms around him and inhaled his scent.  He smelled of mahogany and spice. His scent alone made a heat begin to form between my legs. He tilted my head up to look him in his eyes. My lips parted slightly. I could see his eyes trailing over my mouth. He moved his hand to grip the back of my neck and pulled me in, his lips landing softly on mine. My tongue licked his lips and he opened allowing me access. He moved his tongue against mine and his hands caressed my breasts. I let out a small moan. He pulled away slowly looking me in my eyes.

“Synestra, I am sorry but I have to leave before this gets any further, or else I may never be able to drag myself away from you.” he pressed one last kiss to my lips as he turned to leave.

I made my way to the bathroom, I slipped out of my clothes and into the bubble bath. I leaned back and closed my eyes, feeling the stress of the day melting away from me.  I looked around at the lavish hotel room I was in and couldn’t believe this was real. A girl like me, a virtual nobody, being pampered in a 5 star hotel in Paris with a world famous rock star. I pinched myself to be sure I wasn’t dreaming.  Hearing my phone ring I decided it was time for me to get out of the bath. I had spent too much time in there, the water was beginning to get cold and my fingers had begun to wrinkle like a prune. I wrapped myself in the plush white robe I found in the bathroom and wandered back to the room I had placed my things. I picked up my phone to see several missed calls and texts. Opening the text messages I couldn't believe what I was seeing. Aly had sent me about ten messages.  Omg I cant believe he picked you up from school.  Krystal was furious. Albert is very worried, he doesn't trust Damien. Syn, where are you? Syn, is everything ok haven't heard from you in a bit.  OMG Syn, you are all over social media, “The mystery woman on Damien Raines’ arm in Paris”  Really Syn?? Paris, and you didn't even tell me!  I guess I better call her back.

I dialed the phone and she picked up almost immediately. “Syn, what the actual fuck? You went to Paris with him and didn't mention it to me?

“Sorry, it wasn't planned, he surprised me with the trip and I couldn't say no.” I explained.

“Did you even tell your mom? What about school? How long will you be gone?” She shot questions at me in rapid fire.

“Mom is at a nursing conference, I will be back before she gets home. I need you to cover for me at school. Tell them I am sick or something and get my assignments for me please.” I begged.

“Look Syn, you know I am usually all for breaking the rules and having fun but you barely know this guy and you go all the way to Paris with him and don't even tell anyone. I hate to sound like my lame brother but it's not safe.”

“I know I’m sorry,” I apologized “I should have told you. But Aly, it’s so different with him.  I feel so safe and I feel like a different person. He makes me feel confident and free. Like I can do anything, there are no rules. It feels dangerous and I love the adrenaline rush I get with him. Plus you should see the view from this room.” I told her as I pulled the curtains back. “There is a perfect view of the Eiffel Tower.  It's so beautiful all lit up at night.”

“I’m happy for you Syn you deserve it just be careful. Don't let your guard down, I know he seems perfect, hopefully he is, but don't be too trusting just yet ok.” she warned

“I will be careful. Talk to you tomorrow.” I promised.

I closed the curtain and walked back to the bed. I looked down to see a folded note with my name on it laying on the bed. That definitely wasn’t there a minute ago right? I hadn't heard anyone enter the room. I stepped out of the bedroom into the main living room. I didn't see any of the housekeeping staff. “Damien, are you back?” I called out with no response. I went back into the bedroom grabbing the mace from my purse and began looking around the entire suite.  Someone had to have been in here, but how could I not have heard them.  I checked behind doors, in closets, under beds, in the shower. There was no one. I went back to the bedroom to read the note.

Synestra,

Welcome to Paris. I hope you enjoyed your relaxing bath. You may feel safe with Damien but you are not.  No one can keep you safe now. A storm is coming. I am coming. See you soon!

Synestra’s P.O.V.Lucifer had one of his men lead me to a room, the man looked young maybe just a year or two older than me. He was tall and thin with pale skin and chocolate brown hair. He was an attractive man but in a different way than Damien and Gabe. He was attractive in the most unassuming way. He carried himself with confidence but I could tell by his eyes he wasn't cocky like Damien had been. He had kind eyes. As we walked down the long corridor he chatted aimlessly. I learned his name was Azazel, He had grown up in the palace and was very close friends with Damien. We stopped in front of a large ornately carved wood door. “Lucifer chose this room for you specifically. I hope it will be to your liking. He left instructions to provide you with anything you may want. If the room is not to your standards we can have it redecorated.&rdquo

Over the two weeks we had become close. He would answer questions and tell me about his personal life. He told me alot about his life growing up in the palace and what Damien was like as a child. I still hadn’t forgiven Damien but I think I was starting to understand him more. I had been worried about my mother and what she would think with me being gone. Azazel told me Lucifer had used his powers to make my mother believe I was home as usual so that she wouldn't be worried. I was terrified that Lucifer had these types of powers but also thankful that she would not worry. Azazel had promised my mother was safe and I believed him. Each night Azazel would bring me a new dress that I was expected to wear to dinner with L

I was created out of pure power and had inherited a strength even my parents couldn’t match. The look on Syrus’ face when I unleashed my fury upon him was enough to make me feel giddy. I couldn’t understand what Synestra saw in him.I hadn't expected Michael to be with Ramiel when he arrived. I could feel a shift in energy as they entered the room, Michael was angry. I had failed again and allowed Synestra to be taken, even worse, That demon was out there right now working on saving her. She would see him as her knight in shining armor, rather than the evil son of a bitch he really was.“You really stuck your foot in it this time didn’t you?” Ramiel laughed. “Who the hell caught you in a containment s

Let’s begin with the plans for our ceremony.” Syrus said as if it was the best news I could possibly hear.“What ceremony?” I asked not bothering to placate him at this point.“Our wedding my dear. It shall happen tomorrow. I may not force you to share my bed chambers, but you will be mine. My queen in all ways. I am eager to make it official and that does include consummating the marital bond.”He was really insane, I had to find a way to stall him while I thought of a way to get out of my gilded prison. I plastered a forced smile on my face trying to feign excitement over his news. I could tell he expected me to be happy about this. Finall

Synestra’s P.O.V.We materialized inside of a large mansion. I looked around noticing the marble flooring inlaid with gold. There was a large gold and crystal chandelier hanging over my head. I briefly wondered how heavy it was and if I would have enough power to bring it crashing down on my brother. I cleared the thought from my mind knowing I wouldn't be able to bring it down fast enough to catch him before he could move. Directly in front of me was a large, greek style, marble statue surrounded by a fountain. Off to the right of the fountain was a grand staircase. The hand railings were made of gold and the stairs were the same marble with gold inlay.“Welcome to our castle my queen. I hope it is to your liking.” Syrus swept his hand out gesturing to the mansion around us. I wondered who this house belonged to and

He had been watching us all, for months, he knew there was no way the angel or myself would let her go alone. The anger burned deep within me. Lilith had helped him. I knew instantly why she had done it, she would stop at nothing to get me back, to become my queen. She had to have thought she would have a chance with Synestra gone. Although her reasoning was counterproductive, I knew her reasons which gave me a good starting point to begin trying to break her down. She had released Aly as Syrus had promised whic

More so than that, I could see his resemblance to me. It was so close I was shocked I hadn't noticed it before. He had the same raven colored hair, the same golden flecks in his eyes, the same lopsided grin when he was up to something. There was no doubt we were twins. Synestra’s P.O.V.We left the club after a few more drinks. I didn’t know what had come over me. I was never the type of girl to have even considered going through with the things we had just done, and in public no less. Being with Damien made me feel like a different person. The kind of person who had no inhibitions, who wasn’t afraid to give in to her darkest desires. I liked how I felt with him, who I was with him. Most of all I lived how there was no judgement from him. My mind instantly floated back to Gabe and I wondered how he would feel about this version of me. I was sure he would hate this me. I had betrayed his trust and the guilt ran over me like ice water on a cold night. I can't believe I hadn’t thought of Gabe sooner. He had not come to mind once while we were in the club. I told myself that maybe if he had I would have ended it before it got that far. The truth was I
