Chapter 25: The Escape

Destiny’s POV

I was stunned to hear that coming from Lex. I might be dreaming, or all of this was just my mind playing tricks on me. His hands went around my waist, holding me closer to himself.

"It's time to get going and enough with the lover’s reunion," Kelvin said, standing behind a tree and snapping us out of whatever was happening at that moment.

He seemed upset, furious at me, or rather angry at Lex. I knew he had feelings for me, but I just couldn't feel the same way towards him.

We came out of the water shortly, and I went to Kevin to clear all his thoughts, but he walked away before I could reach him. We headed to our camp where the others were.

"Where have you guys been?" Camila mumbled.

"Just hunting," Lex said curtly.

"Yeah, right," Kelvin rolled his eyes.

"Let's go, it's time," Matthew muttered.

"Where are we heading to this time around?" I asked.

"There's a city near here. We can go there to get some food stuff and find a place to rest for the next day," Matthew replied
