After 28 years chapter17

Ishita POV

I opened my eyes, hearing the chirping sound of the birds through the windows of our bedroom. I noticed someone's hands were securely wrapped around my body. I raised my head and found my husband sleeping cuddling me closer to him.

Slowly, I removed his hands around me as I wanted to use the washroom. I was successful in taking his hands away from me but I could not stand on my legs without help. I collapsed on the bed due to the pain.

He opened his eyes and quickly sat on the bed looking at me, I think maybe it was because of the sudden jerk of the bed. He came to the other side of the bed and kneeled on the floor. He checked my foot worriedly.

" Why didn't you wake me? If you want anything I will bring you here…" he asked.

" I need to use the washroom…" I
