Chapter 3 At The Campus

Chelsey was a refined girl and a quiet type, but she was the top 1 in class.

Her academic excellence can't be beaten by her classmates.

"Alright, class, our top 1 in our Final exams was no other than Chelsey," the class professor announced the results of the Senior high final exams.

Almost everybody applauded and congratulated Chelsey except for Cecilia and her group.

Cecilia used to hate Chelsey since they became classmates.

She was the second honors in class and Chesley's rival in academic performances.

"Hmph, if I know, she was the favorite of all our professors. her innocent looks deceived them," Cecilia clenched her fist while talking to herself.

"Hey, don't you think she was doing something nasty to our professor? Perhaps our professors gave her leakage of the examination papers. She always got 100% which is quite unusual," Aubrey said to Cecilia.

Aubrey was a fan and a loyal friend of Cecilie. "Yup, I think so. Come on let's bully her in the canteen later," Mariz said. She is one of the Tres Malditas on campus.

Cecilia, Aubrey, and Mariz were friends and all of them were spoiled brats. They were academically performing well but couldn't surpass the excellent rating of Chelsey.

Chelsey already knew Tres M*****a's reaction every time she excelled in their class.

She doesn't want to get involved in trouble, that's why she never argues nor engages with them.

Chad happened to be around every time somebody bullied Chelsey. He even made friends with some of Chelsey's classmates to protect her girl.

Reason also why no boy classmates of Chelsey attempted to confess to her.

Chad was the President of the school's organization and everybody knew his stand.

They respected Chad and others were quite afraid to offend him.

Cecilia had a deep crush on Chad too. The reason why she hated Chelsey more.

"Chelsey seemed to be taking credits in all their academic classes and even Chad is being captured by Chelsey's spell," Cecilia thought.

Beep...

Cecilia's mobile phone beeped.

"Baby, l will be waiting for you in the canteen. Let's have our lunch together," Chad messaged her.

Even if they were in a relationship already, it was just yesterday when Chad claimed her as his girlfriend.

Chelsey's face still reddened.

She wasn't used to being called by Chad as Baby.

She replied with a smiley emoji to Chad.

Chad knew how shy Chelsey was and he smiled while seeing her response.

"My Chelsey," he claimed before returning his mobile phone to his pocket.

He had seen how Chelsey grew up as she was almost his sister and an adopted child by their granny.

They grew up together and he knew every single detail of Chelsey, her likes and dislikes, her behavior, and even her daily rituals.

"I will never allow anybody to harm my precious Chelsey. She was my precious gem, only mine," Chad claimed already in his heart.

Chelsey then fixed all her things in her bag and started to head to their canteen.

Chad will be there already and she doesn't want him to wait for her that long. While heading to the canteen, a group of boys whistled.

Chelsey was embarrassed. She knew that they were all Cecilia's friends.

She just passed by and ignored them.

She focused on her way to the canteen to meet Chad.

"Hey Chelsey, you're too sexy," George said while continuing to whistle. Chelsey continued walking and ignored them.

"Whew, such a snob one, dood," Carlo said to George.

George threw his cigarette and approached Chelsey, "Hey, why the rush and why offending me," he held Chelsey's elbow which almost made her fall to the ground.

"Ouch," Chelsey was in pain with how George was holding her elbow.

Chad was walking towards the canteen when he saw George and his friends bullying Chelsey.

Chad rushed to Chelsey and pushed hard George leading him to fall to the ground.

"You don't have any right to bully my girl," Chad pointed his finger at George who was still shocked and wounded his elbow.

Chad was so angry and almost gritted his teeth.

He is holding his fist as he wants to punch George. George's friends started to walk away and left George without helping him.

They don't want to offend Chad.

They were quite afraid of Chad, as he has a strong authority in the school organization.

George was so embarrassed. "I will mark this day, Chad. I'll get back to you," he said angrily while standing up.

George happened to be the son of the school director at Sacred Heart School.

He will ask his father to avenge Chad instead. Chad smiled sarcastically.

He already knew what George was thinking of and he was not worried about it.

Even if George's father is the school director, Tito Luther is the major stockholder of the school. If George tries to ruin his reputation in school, he has all the evidence of George's misbehavior in school. There were a lot of CCTV and witnesses around.

Chelsey was worried about Chad," Are you alright?" she asked Chad.

"No worries, I am alright. How about you?" he touches Chelsey's elbow and caresses it.

"Does it hurt still?" he asked full of concern.

"There's a little pain, but I can manage it. Common let's proceed to the canteen. I am already starving," Chelsey told Chad.

She doesn't want to be the talk of the campus already.

There were lots of students murmuring already in front of them and looking at her as if she were the culprit of the school's commotion.

"Alright, let's go. Try to avoid George okay? I do not trust him and his friends," Chad gave a warning thought to Chad.

He was a bit worried as he couldn't be with Chelsey's side most of the time.

"Don't worry. I always ignore him," she replied.

"Yeah, you used to ignore him, but he kept on pestering you," Chad said.

Chelsey kept quiet as she knew that Chad wouldn't buy her excuses.

She held Chad's hand and gave him a signal for them to continue heading to the school canteen.

"Okay, let's just have our lunch together. We still have classes ahead," Chelsey told him.

"Okay," Chad said. The two then looked for a table and sat.

They had their lunch together and Chad accompanied Chelsey to her room. He even advised his junior to look after Chelsey. "Thank you, Chad," Chelsey said to him. "I will fetch you after our classes," Chad said before leaving Chelsey.
