Chapter 6 A Family Dinner

An excerpt from Destiny Book 1...

 

It was a great journey for the Montevista Family.

 

After Kristina and Nathaniel had been through a lot, here they were with their five beautiful children.

 

They've grown up so well and are kind just like their parents. 

 

Kristina and Nathaniel were so proud of all of them.

 

Kristina smiles while she reminisces all the trials they've been through with Nathaniel. She was setting the buffet table now for their family dinner.

 

Carina was helping her. She had been Kristina's friend and almost a sister since she married Nathaniel.

 

Mrs. Montevista treated Carina as her very own daughter as well.

 

"Thanks, Carina," she said to her.

 

"Welcome Kristina. If you need anything else, please don't hesitate to approach me," Carina replied.

 

"No. I think we set the buffet table well. You may take your rest first," Kristina said to her.

 

"By the way, have you seen Chesey and Chad?" Kristina asked Carina.

 

"I haven't. Perhaps they were in Mama Paz's room," Carina said.

 

Mrs. Montevista was a bit weak when she got older.

 

She used to stay in her room and the kids were always there to take care and make her happy.

 

Chad loves Mrs. Montevista as his very own Granny since he was the first child being taken care of by Mrs. Montevista.

 

He won't forget the true kindness of Mrs. Montevista's heart.

 

"I am so proud of having you Chad as my first grandchild," Mrs. Montevista said to Chad while demonstrating for him to come over and help her to sit in her wheelchair.

 

"I am so grateful for having you as my grandmother, Granny. Thank you so much for being so good to me. I love you, Granny," Chad sincerely said to Mrs. Valencia while helping her sit in her wheelchair. He kissed the old lady's forehead after she settled down.

 

The other Montevista kids and Chelssey were so happy seeing the love between Chad and their grandmother.

 

They were fully aware of the relationship between the two as Kristina and Nathaniel didn't hide anything.

 

"The table is already set. Kids, please come down," Carina is calling them downstairs.

 

"Yey, we will be eating lots of our favorites now," the twins were so excited saying these words.

 

The Montevista siblings and Carina went downstairs as Chad was helping Mrs. Montevista on her special stairway for the wheelchair.

 

"Let's go, Granny," Chad politely asked Mrs. Montevista.

 

Mrs. Montevista was so spoiled with her grandchildren as well.

 

As she showered all of them with her love and affection equally, she was now enjoying the fruit of all her labor with them.

 

The Montevista children including Chad and Chelsey loved her so much.

 

There's no such amount of money that can replace the warmth of the love Mrs. Montevista is experiencing now from these kids.

 

She loves them so much. As they were all headed to the buffet table, Kristina and Nathaniel were so happy seeing how their children were all grown up now and how Nathaniel's mother, Mrs. Paz Montevista all smiled while chatting with her grandchildren.

 

"Mom loves our children so much," Kristina couldn't help but burst out crying as she was overwhelmed by Mrs. Montevista.

 

Nathaniel put his arm on Kristina's shoulder and said," Of course, they were all Mom's blessing. Mom dreamed of having a big family ever since and we are thanking you my dear wife for bringing us so many bundles of joy, our children," he kissed his wife's cheeks after saying these words.

 

Suddenly, there were visitors...

 

"Hey brother, are we late," Luther came in together with his wife Kristel and their twins. "Good evening Mom," Luther kissed the forehead of Mrs. Montevista when he approached the old lady sitting in a wheelchair.

 

"I am so glad you and your family arrived," Mrs. Montevista was so happy to see Luther.

 

She treated him as her son as well. "I am so grateful and overwhelmed with your family Mom. How can I say no to such a beautiful lady?" Luther told Mrs. Montevista.

 

Mrs. Montevista loves his boys every time they treated her queen like their queen.

 

"Come, let's all eat," Kristina invited Kristel and the twins to the buffet area.

 

They all enjoyed the buffet and savor the menu prepared by Carina and Kristina.

 

"You never failed to cook so well, Tin," Luther said to Kristina.

 

"Thank you. It's my thing, you know," Kristina replied.

 

The kids enjoyed their presence well and eat whatever they want.

 

They also had some games and the elders went to the Butterfly Garden after they had their meals.

 

"Time flies so fast, our kids were all grown-ups already," Kristel said to Carina and Kristina.

 

"Yeah, they are now the ones creating their own stories. Ours had already done," Kristina replied.

 

"Yup, they were all teenagers now," Carina said.

 

"I am happy that Chad and Chelsey are boyfriend and girlfriend now," Kristel told the two ladies in front of her. She knew that these two young people will be sweethearts since they were still kids.

 

"Yeah, Chad loves Chelsey so much and so Chelsey to Chad as well," Kristina happily said to them.

 

They chatted and looked at the children who were playing outside. "Are you happy Baby," Chad asked Chelsey while staring into her eyes.

 

Chelsey's face reddened and then she nodded.

 

"Hey, are you still shy with me?" Chad held her chin and lifted it. He was about to kiss Chelsey when Princess approached and said," Hey, Mom and Dad asked us to come over for dinner," she smiled as she already knew what she had interrupted.

 

Chad's sharp eyes were looking at Princess already.

 

"You know how to execute your negative plans, aren't you?" he said to her sister.

 

"Ha ha ha! Nothing personal my dear elder brother," Princess laughed.

 

Chelsey felt so embarrassed as they were almost caught by Chad's sister, kissing.

 

She was so ashamed of that thought. Chad knew how Chelsey felt. He held her hand and whisper in her ear," Don't feel embarrassed, we do not do anything... yet" he smiled and put his arm on Chelsey's shoulder as they head inside Villa Montevista.
