7. Longing for Her.

Blake's POV:

"Ahh," I grunted with one last jerk while I released my load into Khloe's month even though I didn't feel any gratification after receiving a mind-blowing blow job from the best head giver amongst the list of she-wolves I had fucked from time to time.

She swallowed while licking her lips."Umm, you taste so delicious Alpha," she got up from the ground she was kneeling and cleaned her knees before she straightened up, spruced her black short dress, and winked at me.

I smirked and zipped up my pants while looking over my shoulder as I once again felt guilty for doing this sort of shit knowing very well that I had a mate out there feeling worthless without me, in her life...

I sighed heavily while running my fingers through my hair as I was having a fucked up day with my controlling mother forcing me to accept a mate from another pack as it would unite and strengthen forces amongst each other…

I huffed with frustration because I only ever wanted one woman - Lily.

Yeah, I know I rejected my true mate but I realized my mistake... I will never feel for anyone else what I felt for her.

I heaved another deep sigh still feeling empty as fuck even after what just happened between Khloe and me.

"Come, let's get out of here," I led the way out of the hidden bushes we had turned into a bedroom for a few minutes while Khloe graciously attended to my needs.

"Oh, okay, wait for me," she toiled to get out of the bush in her six-inch heels, while I didn't care to give her a helping hand.

"Hurry, I need to get back to the pack house," I took a leisurely stroll after I got back onto the footpath to let her catch up with me, yet once again my mind wandered back to the woman I couldn't forget - my human mate, Lily.

Oh, goddess, will you ever give me another mate so that I can survive this half-rejection I inflicted on myself? I mulled deeply as we came to a clearing with many other packmates.

"Greetings Alpha," one of my packmates nearby greeted me with a submission bow.

I sighed softly while I bobbed my head in acknowledgment. He walked past me, Khloe caught up with me and hooked her arm in mine.

"Argh," I recoiled at her touch but let her be because I knew she was enjoying parading herself as my mate.

Scoffs!

"Slow down, babe," she said breathlessly and my heart constricted while I glared at her.

"Just because I have let you hold my arm in public that doesn't mean I'm your babe, Khloe!" I said with gritted teeth and a scowl, Khloe's body shuddered with fright while she bowed.

"My apologies Alpha," she whimpered and I scoffed before we continued walking towards the pack house.

It had been a few months since my mother forced me to reject Lily, and the pain of that decision still lingered in my heart. I wasn't ready to move on just like that.

Suddenly, a cute male pup around the age of 10 playing football with his father in the park kicked the ball towards me, I stopped it with my foot and looked at the strong pup running towards me with awe.

When he reached near me, he stopped and bowed slightly.

"Greetings Alpha Blake, can I please have my ball back?" He asked in a polite voice, I felt a tiny grin radiate across my face.

I playfully dribbled and kicked it toward him," There you go champ," I said and he smiled.

"Thank you Alpha," he picked up the ball and ran to his father a good distance away…

I felt my tiny grin widen as I felt the need to produce my own Alpha heir ASAP to succeed my pack once I'm gone because it was a known fact that Alphas were endangered species in packs as they all faced countless kinds of danger all in the name of gaining power to control a pack.

"So, Alpha Blake, will you be taking me to the mating ball this year seeing that you still don't have a mate?" Khloe's irritating voice boomed in the back of my mind but I was lost in my thoughts of 'Lily land' when suddenly a familiar yet intoxicating delicious scent hit my nostrils.

Lily!!!

My head snapped around, my heart pounding with hope. Could it really be her this time around?

My eyes landed on her standing a few meters away, her ever-radiant presence stole the breath from my lungs. I couldn't hide the joy that erupted within me as I locked eyes with the woman who had claimed a part of my soul from the very moment I set my eyes on her.

"Lily!" I called out, unable to contain my excitement. The sound of her name rolled off my tongue like a prayer, carrying months of longing and regret.

Lily, on the other hand, whipped around to face the other direction. My heart raced wildly.

I swiftly made my way in front of her face to look at her beautiful face and damn did she look sexier than I remembered. My breathing increased while I yearned to embrace her.

"Hi Lily," I stared down at her with a steady eye contact and raised eyebrows.

"Blake," she turned her gaze to the ground, and my joy quickly turned into a whirlpool of emotions.

Wait a minute, my Lily was heavily pregnant! I froze while I stared with wide eyes.

How? When? Where? I clenched my fists tightly.

Lily and I met precisely six months ago yet her belly looked like she was almost ready to give birth at any given time.

I frowned as I couldn't help but do the math in my mind, calculating how far along she could be in her pregnancy. And then the realization hit me like a thunderbolt - I was not the father to her child, but how could this be possible when I was the one who deflowered her on that fateful night???

I took a tiny step back while I narrowed my eyes at her.

Was she here to trap me with another man's child???

A million things were going through my head when she finally responded to my greeting.

"Hey," she looked away from my gaze, and my heart constricted with intense pain.

Oh goddess, I hope she isn't here to tell me lies about this pregnancy. I felt my blood boil with rage while I clenched my jaws.

"What are you doing here?" I asked, still scrutinizing her huge belly. She wrapped her arms around herself,

"Umh," she fumbled with her words when suddenly Khloe decided to disrupt us by walking to us.

"Blake," she called to me in an irritating voice as she made her way to my side and stood right next to me while holding onto my arm tightly. "Who is she?" She pouted her lips while gesturing towards Lily.

' Khloe, please shut up!' I clenched my jaws even harder while I mind-linked to her.

She rolled her with a sneer. 'She is an intruder in the pack hence I demand to know who she is?' she responded in a mind link.

Lily let out a tight-lipped smile and looked away… Once again, I recoiled at Khloe's persistent touch.

"She is none of your business," I casually tried to shrug Khloe off but she kept hold of my arm.

I huffed deeply and concentrated on Lily.

Who was the father of her unborn child and why was she here?

"Lily, what were you saying?" I flinched my face while gesturing to her stomach as I tried to understand what was going on because now I was feeling cheated.

If she was a virgin the night I slept with her, how the heck did she get pregnant before? I swallowed constantly with anxiety.

"I was saying nothing, please excuse me," she began walking towards the train station when I suddenly got hold of her hand because I deserved an explanation of what was going on.

But as if the goddess wanted to see us together, sparks between us flew and for a brief moment, I forgot she was a weak human mate I rejected a few months back and was pregnant for another man.

Oh Fuck! I wanted her for myself, my cock throbbed while my heart skipped a beat.

"Lily, please wait" She turned around to face me. I could tell she was sad from her bleak eyes but I still deserved an explanation of what was going on.

" Blake, please let me go, it was a mistake coming here," she stuttered faintly and walked away, never looking back, my heart shattered into a million pieces.

I took a step forward to try and catch her but Khloe held on to my arm. "Alpha, what is going on with you and that pregnant human?" She questioned with narrowed eyes, I scoffed.

"I told you, it's none of your business," I growled menacingly, she shuddered while bowing.

"I'm sorry Alpha, but you promised me that you would spend the whole day with me," she murmured, still holding onto my arm like I belonged to her.

I scoffed while putting her utterance at the back of my mind...

Oh goddess, this situation doesn't make sense. If Lily is pregnant with another man whom she had slept with earlier than me, why was she here looking like she wanted to tell me something important?

A surge of conflicting emotions coursed through me while I contemplated running after a woman I thought was my fated virgin, yet was pregnant for another.

'She cheated on us, no doubt about that,' Blaze chimed in via mind link, concocting excuses in my mind not to run after our mate. I huffed and puffed.

No, that's not possible because I clearly remembered how tight and in pain she was when I entered her honey pot.

But yet again, her pregnancy looked way too big to be 6 months...

But how was she pregnant with another man when I was the first one she slept with? I tried to convince myself otherwise. But deep in my heart, a raging fire burned, screaming why she showed up with a pregnancy that wasn't clearly mine.

'Attention all Betas, stop the train by all means possible,' I ordered all my Betas to help me stop the train Lily got on because the longing for her was consuming me entirely, I was willing to bear whatever consequences my decision came with later.

'Yes Alpha,' Ryan came through via mindlink as he was the strongest amongst my Betas…The others followed as they set out on a mission to find her.

Oh moon goddess, please bring Lily back to me... I said a silent prayer while, I held onto a glimmer of hope that they would be successful but hours turned days, and days turned into weeks, and anxiety gnawed at my soul. I couldn't rest, couldn't find solace in the absence of Lily…

" Yes, James, find her without fail and I will pay 5 million dollars into your account,"

I hung up my cell phone as I was now becoming desperate to discover her whereabouts. I utilized my human contacts beyond our pack.

But the information I received a few days later after that call, crushed me like an avalanche. Lily had been spotted with another man, affectionately posed in each other's arms, near a maternity clinic… I immediately guessed that was the man responsible for the pregnancy.

"Ahh," I growled menacingly as I punched a hole through the hard concrete wall in my office at the pack house, because as much as I still wanted her, devastation coursed through me, threatening to drown me in an abyss of anguish.

How could she?

The image of Lily finding solace in someone else's arms shattered whatever fragments of belief I had left.
