"This is serious," Connor said.

"Apparently, a student heard voices coming from your office and he spread the rumors," Connor said.

Jason sat calmly with no ounce of expression on his face while I sat there stiff as a rod with my cheeks flaming red.

"You should've been more careful," Connor said.

I noticed as his eyes fell on the patch on my neck and his face hardened.

It took me a minute to realize what he meant. "No, Susan would never spread the rumors. Instead, she helped us hide from students," I quickly defended her and he nodded.

"It was a guy who spread the rumors like Connor said," I said.

"We are not here to capture the one who spread rumors," Connor said curtly, causing us to stare at him silently.
