Chapter 6

Poppy

I dreamt of hands touching my body everywhere, hundreds of eyes staring down at me. I couldn't move my body and I couldn't even scream, claws were tearing my body apart when all of a sudden it all stopped and a pair of silver eyes were watching me and finally I felt safe.

Sparks, is what woke me up, they moved up and down of my arm. I slowly opened my eyes to realize that I was in bed with Silas. He was in his human form naked and I was wearing a different shirt than before.

I wasn't naked at least and the blanket was pulled up over my body, Silas noticed I was awake, moved slightly, sitting up on his elbow, watching me cautiously.

I noticed he had burn scars on his shoulder and down his side, when I think about it, his wolf was dark grey with red eyes but completely black fur were on the same spot as his burn scars. 

Noticing my stare he take my hand and kisses it before he close his eyes and guides my hand over the burns on his side. The sparks weren't as strong as on his unscarred skin, that means his own family did this to him. 

"It doesn't hurt anymore, does it gross you out?" He ask me and opens his eyes to watch me.

" No it doesn't, I have similar scars anyway, may I ask how you got yours?"

" Long story, I can tell you some other time but I haven't seen any scars on your body, you know" Silas say.

" Holly made them and my mother covered them up so only my family can see them, I wonder if you guys will see them if we mark each other. Have Aziel said if he can see them?" I shrug while telling him but I still wonder if Aziel can see them or not.

Silas nods and then shakes his head and remain quiet, he just look at me and I look back. I turn my body so I lay on my side opposite of him. I put my hand on his cheek, liking the sparks between us and he sighs and lean into my hand. 

" May I ask why you saved me in the gym, I thought all of you hated me?" I ask Silas softly, a little worried he would snap at me.

Silas stares at me for so long that I thought he turned into stone, he sighed and turned his head toward the door to listen so I did that to and noticed that Orion were on the other side of it. 

I tensed a bit and Silas noticed it right away, he sat up and shielded me with his arm when my door opened and Orion came in with a tray in his hands. Orion walked in toward me but halted when Silas growled at him.

Orion sighed and didn't look at me instead he walked slowly to Silas and handed the tray to him. I could smell chicken soup from the trey, one of my favorites and my stomach growled embarrassingly loud.

Silas gestures to me to sit up on the bed and I do, making sure to keep myself covered. Hoping I can have a taste of the food. Silas puts a few pillows behind me so I can sit more comfortably and to my surprise he gives me the tray and tells me to eat all of it.

I thought it was a trick, that Orion was gonna take the food away and bind my hands and punish me but none of them did anything. I lift the bowl gently to my lips and taste it before I blow on it since it's still a little hot but it tastes nice.

Orion give Silas a pair of shorts and I look away embarrassed when I notice that Silas is quite big down there. Silas chuckles at my reaction and I look down and was about to say something when my door opens once again making me look up and freeze in horror.

Aziel. He steps in to the room making Silas growl at him, the sound making me jump slightly and flinch as I spill some soup on the bed and I hiss when some of it touches my arm, it's really hot.

Silas moves quickly and sits down on the bed giving me a towel to wipe the soup with, while watching Aziel intently. Aziel moves slowly towards us on the bed but Silas shook his head and as Aziel stops, I look at Silas and notices dark grey fur on his arms.

I put my hand on Silas back where he wasn't scarred and I could feel he were becomming more relaxed under my touch. His dark grey fur slowly disappering under his skin once more but when I look at Aziel once more he has a blank look on his face as he stares at us.

Aziels POV

I watched as Silas eyes bled black and fur started to cover his arms, I stopped dead in my steps. I don't understand why he would take her side this much, I'm also his mate and Orion are our mate to. 

We know the story behind Silas scars, but I don't think she remembers what happened to him or if she does but hasn't let us now. No, she isn't that kind of person. She doesn't look disgusted by the burns and that is good, I know Silas were worried about that. 

I wonder when she will figure it out, that she have met Silas before me, will things change then between us, I hope not. Everything started so wrong for us all, my own story started with her sister, Holly.

I dated Holly for about a year before she told me that she had found her mate but that he was a human. He didn't know anything about our world and she didn't want to bring him in, in to this supernatural chaos.

I stood by her side anyway since she had accepted what and who I was and she wasn't scared of me and beside she was a good f*ck.

I have met her family many times, her parents are very nice and they have always treated me nicely. Holly's little brother Sky are cool and fun to be around, we got along nicely, but Poppy on the other hand. I found her interesting even though she didn't speak very much.

She are very beautiful and happy and very lively, she loves to spent time outside with a good book or just sits in the garden watching her fathers familiar while it flyes around, keeping watch over them all.

What confused me the most about Poppy, were her scent or the lack of scent to be more precise. She didn't have any at all, it was so strange and I even leaned towards her and smelled her hair once and gave her a fright because of it.

To cover my action up I told her that her schampoo smelled nice and she blushed really cute and mumbled about a raspberry scent. The thing is I couldn't smell any schampoo at all, it was like all the scents on her vanished when we were close to each other.

I noticed Holly flinch when Poppy told me about her schampoo, it got me more curious about the sisters so I started to study Poppy more intensely. I wanted to know both their secrets and with that their family became my own for almost two whole years.

One day I made sure to stop bu their house when I knew that Holly wasn't at home to test my theory. Sky opened the door and gave me a huge smile when he saw me, he informed me that Holly wasn't home but I was welcome to have dinner anyway.

When I got into the kitchen I was hit with this otherworldly scent, raspberry, chocolate and a hint of vanilla. I could sense my beast stirring because of the scent and I growled deeply and lowly said the word "mate".

Making Sky jump beside me and jokingly tell me that he wasn't gay, their mother Magnolia were standing in the kitchen alone just smiled at me brightly. Her husbands, Marcellus and Zion, came in quickly and stood beside her when I growled and looked at me cautiously.

" I knew it" Magnolia said, still smiling.

" Holly has been hiding her scent from you all this time but the bond would still recognize her and make you feel drawn to her even though you wouldn't know why" Magnolie told me with a disappointed look.

I nodded and looked around the kitchen hoping Poppy were around here somewhere. I noticed that Magnoila, Zion, Marcellus and Sky were pointing up toward the ceiling, telling me she was upstairs probably in her room. 

I said my thanks to them and wandered to the stair and smiled when I heard Magnolia squeal as a little girl, the scent coming on stronger as I approach her room. I open her room as quietly as I can, noticing her sitting on the floor, leaning her back on the bed.

She had just showered as her scent were stronger and her hair was still a little damp, she was doing her homework and listening to some music. I leaned on the door frame, watching her in awe until she snapped her head up and sniffed the air and whispered the word "mate".

I stepped into her room making her look over at me and I noticed her ocean blue eyes getting tinged with golden flecks. Her wolf were peeking out. I stand still as she gets up from the floor to walk over to me and stands on her toes to kiss me on my lips.

Surprised I doesn't move at first until the shock wers off and I kiss her back, I can't belive Hollys words right now. Poppy are such a clumpsy kisser but Holly has told me she is a alut that have s*x with anybody who is willing.

I push away that thought as I lift her up and she wraps her legs around her waist and I carry her to her bed and gently puts her down on it. We keep kissing and I can feel her hands slide under my shirt, sparks moving on my skin as she's caressing my muscles.

She moans when she feel my erection against her shorts, and just as she was about to touch me lower down, I can hear her dad Zion call out to us.

"Dinner are ready in case you are hungry for some actual food, kids"

Poppy turns her head away and blushes hard over her dads words. I think she forgot where we were and that we weren't alone. I climb to the floor and stands up giving her my hand to help her up as well.

Without any hesitation she puts her small hand in mine and goes out the room and down the steps when the front door opens and we can hear Magnolia's frantic voice from the kitchen. She welcomes Holly home in a very loud voice making Poppy stop on the step and start to shake in horror.

Poppy looks back at me, absolutely terriffied and I bend down and kiss her on the lips, giving her a small smile, I tell her that I will speak to Holly but it was to late. Holly were staring at us and she screams and unleashes her magic.

I feel her magic flying toward me and it makes me numb and I blackout. The next second I stand in the livingroom with Poppy kneeling before me. Tears are streaming down her face, an angry red handprint are shown on her cheek and I can feel my hand stinging.

It felt just as I had hurt her but I would never do that, not to my mate, her eyes are red and puffy. Just as I look at her and were about to touch her she looks up at me and say the words I never wanted to hear.

" I, Poppy Jensen, reject thee Aziel Dark, as my mate forever til the end of time". 

Her voice sounded broken as she said those words and I could feel my heart break. I clutch my knees, having trouble standing straightbut when I do, I see Poppy disappering into a portal, leaving me forever.

Holly tries to talk to me but I just glare at her and start to accuse her for hiding Poppy from me. She tells me she hid Poppy for my sake since poppy wasn't pure and she knew that mattered to me. 

She told me that Poppy had been pregnant a few times and had abortions just to be able to have more s*x afterwards, that Holly was the one that would help her cover up. 

I didn't say anything, I just stared at her, not wanting to belive that the girl who are my mate and a lousy kisser were such a big sl*t, no something isn't right here, but why would Holly of all people lie to me? She is my bestfriend, she has always been on my side, right from the start, all of it is to confusing.

I turned around and just walked out of there, Holly tried to follow me, asking me where I was going but I didn't answer her, I just walked out. Wanting to forget these years of memories of the Jensen family but I couldn't, Poppy never got my answer to the rejection. I needed to find her and reject her but do I really want to do that, I don't know anymore but I am certain I want to talk to Poppy alone.

For several months I tried to find her, all means necessary but in the end I gave up. Seven months had gone by when I decided to give up hunting her, not even her family knew where she was. 

Exhausted I rested in a local motel and went to a local pub to relax and perhaps get drunk to forget for a few hours. When I sat there at the bar a man came up behind me, no not a human but a vampire, sigh.

He told me I smelled good and I turned around to tell him he could eat himself and leave me alone when I looked in his sky blue eyes and his mouthwatering scent wafts in to my nose, I stop myself.

" Hello, mate, my name is Orion, what's yours" the vampire say with a wink.

"Aziel but you can't be my mate" I say very confused by this time.

" Well, I am bisexual so I should have two mates, one female and one male. Is that fine to you?" He tilts his head and asks.

I nod my head, sure I have no problem with guys but I'm not taking anything up my ass. Still feeling confused about Poppy I gesture for him to sit down beside me.

"Since we met like this, in here I mean, care for a drink with me?" Orion asks.

"Sure but can we take it slow?" I ask of him tiredly.

" Yes cutie we can take it slow" Orion laughs at me.

" Don't call me cutie, and if you bite me I will hit you so hard you will se stars" I snap at him.

" Wait a minute, you know what I am? There isn't many humans that can tell what I am" Orion says surprisingly.

" Well I never said I was human now did I?" I talk back to him.

" No you didn't but you do smell like one" Orion said with a shrug but looked very intrigued.

I chuckled at him and ordered two beers for us and before morning came we had marked each other but not mated sine I wasn't ready to be with a man just yet.

I told him about Holly and of course Poppy, to say he was intrigued was the least I could say. So we began our hunt for Poppy and met Silas on the way to her.

Silas was an alphas son and was about to take over his fathers pack but lost in single combat or the alphas challenge as it also are called. Half of the members in his fathers pack left the same day Silas lost the challenge, they were tired of their alpha and his reign.

They followed Silas and made him their new alpha, they were promised by Silas that they were free to go out in the world to find their mates and bring them home. When Silas found us or if it was us who found him, well it doesn't matter.

He invited us to his home, he owned a very large mansion or a mini castle if you look at the size of it, his mother gave it to him before she died.

Orion who was the only vampire there didn't seem to mind it but in the end he asked Silas if he could invite his "family" to stay with us. I had met them before and they were cool or something. 

In the beginning there were fights and they almost killed each other but after we took control where Silas still stand as alpha and Orion head of the family they named me leader. At last we found harmony and we could live peacefully finally. 

I had almost forgotten about Poppy until one morning where I was out training a group in the rain, I doubled over in pain and one of the wolves recognized it as a cheating mate, I was furious. I searched the bond for the source and almost choked when I realized that it was Poppy.

Now there isn't just one mate that hunts you Poppy, we are three mates and we have an entire army of wolves and vampires with us, just to find one little lost flower.
