Time passed by both quickly and slowly. Sometimes it felt like it was zooming by. Other times it felt like it was being carried on the back of a slug.

Cassian’s Alpha and Luna had been called into the Supernatural Council to discuss the situation regarding what the asshole had been up to. They needed to know, beyond a shadow of a doubt, if Cassian had been alone in his fuckery. Maddox and I had been present when this occurred since he would know if he recognized them while I would be able to use my abilities if need be.

It was safe to say that Cassian was the only fuckhead in that equation. They had been rightfully disgusted when they learned the truth about the type of person he was at heart. Even more, they were filled with guilt when they heard what he had done to his own mate because they never realized that anything was wrong. I knew that I would feel the same if I was in their place, so I could understand their stance even if it was misplaced guilt.
