I would have been mistaken if I thought that the hate I had in my heart for Calvin could not be any stronger. Knowing what he had planned to do with my mate made me far more furious than I had ever been before.

It was a guarantee that we had all been caught off-guard by the revelations of today. I could not imagine what the betrayals that Kalamar brought to light were doing to those on the Council. I was certain that they felt guilty for never knowing what was occurring behind their backs. It was not their fault though because they should have been able to trust each other.
