Luna Katelyn's Chamber.

~~'~~

Luna Katelyn lay in her chamber, half-reclined on the plush bed. The soft material of her silk nightgown gently brushed against her skin causing her to let out a soft sigh. Her room was beautifully lit up by the flickering light of the scented candles scattered across the luxurious room.

They cast a warm glow against her silver hair, the dark wood furniture and rich, velvet drapes. This was the picture of perfect luxury. Katelyn sighed again, as she replayed the sweet memories of her husband’s intimate touch. The memories of nights with Alpha Killian were something no woman could easily forget.

They always hovered like a stubborn shadow, constantly teasing her mind until she was craving for more. Her fingers absentmindedly traced over her skin, as she replayed the way Killian's hands had explored her body. He was eager and passionate so each touch had provoked a raging flame of desire inside her.

She closed her eyes, letting herself get lost in the memory and for a moment, it was as if Killian was actually there in her bed. His sexy, masculine presence made her sigh with want, but out of nowhere, the sweet memory suddenly twisted into something dark and sour as her imagination brought up an image of Killian touching the breeder in the same way he touched her.

Katelyn's eyes immediately flew open, and hot anger crawled up her skin like dark hungry vines. The Luna sat up abruptly, as her heart began to beat with dangerous jealous thoughts.

Katelyn had known that the king would have to sleep with that ugly woman, but the mere thought that her Killian in another woman’s bed almost gave her a heart attack. The worst part was that there was nothing she could do to stop it. Killian would indeed have to share his bed with the breeder, Bellatrix, as was expected.

He needed an heir, and if Bellatrix was able to give him that, Killian’s joy would know no bounds. The whole pack would rejoice and everyone would shower Bellatrix and her child with gifts. And then what would happen to Katelyn? What would be the fate of the Luna who couldn’t even produce a single heir for her husband?

The answer was simple. She would be tossed aside like a rag and laughed at by other women. Katelyn clenched her fists, feeling the heat of the anger boiling under her skin. How was she supposed to accept this? To be pushed aside like some old relic, left alone in her chamber while her husband spent many passionate nights with someone else?

It was a thought she couldn't entertain for long without feeling bitter bile rise in her throat. Katelyn’s rage finally boiled over, and with a swift motion, she leapt off the bed and began pacing the room, her silk nightgown flowing behind her like the cape of a deadly villain.

The beauty of her luxurious room suddenly felt suffocating, and the Luna found herself wanting to destroy something, anything that would allow her to release the burning anger rising inside her. More images flashed through Katelyn’s mind, images of her husband kissing and touching Bellatrix as their laughter and moans echoed through the halls while Katelyn lay in her chamber alone, and forgotten.

The vision was unbearable, and in a moment of blind fury, Katelyn reached for the ornate vase on the side table and hurled it across the room. It shattered loudly against the wall and the pieces rained down like a glass waterfall.

At the sound of the crash, the heavy door to her bedroom swung open, and her maid, Tina, rushed in. "Luna! Are you alright?" Tina asked, her eyes wide with concern.

Katelyn whirled around with a furious look. "Leave me!" she snapped as she began looking for something else to throw. Tina hesitated and her gaze dropped to her Luna’s hand, where a thin line of blood was already beginning to seep from a small cut. The vase had been lined with sharp edges and it had cut Katelyn when she grabbed it, but she never even noticed.

“But your hand, Luna. You're bleeding," Tina gasped with horror and worry.

Katelyn could care less. “I said get out!" she barked as her anger lashed out uncontrollably at anything and everything it could lay its claws on. She couldn’t even feel the pain from her bleeding hand. It was just a mere annoyance compared to the storm raging inside her.

Tina dropped to her knees and began to plead, "Please, Luna, let me help you. Please, You need to calm down."

Katelyn almost kicked Tina in the face then. Her eyes blazed with red-hot fury as she snatched a small decorative box from a nearby table and hurled it at her maid, narrowly missing her. "I said, leave!"

Terrified, Tina gave up, scrambled to her feet and fled toward the door with her heart pounding in her chest. No one could control the Luna when she got like this.

But just as Tina reached the threshold, and was about to flee to safety, Katelyn's voice suddenly cut through the air again. "Stop!” Katelyn ordered and Tina froze. Katelyn’s tone had suddenly changed out of nowhere. It was suddenly filled with a strange calmness that sent a shiver down Tina's spine.

Tina turned slowly, confused and, unsure of what to expect. Her fear was growing as she stood with her hand on the door’s handle, torn between obeying her mistress and fleeing for her life. Katelyn suddenly smiled and her whole demeanour shifted. Her previous rage was now replaced by a look of cold calculating glee.

Tina thought that it looked like the calm before a horrible storm. The Luna sat back down on the edge of the bed with a thoughtful expression. "Tina," she began, "I need you to make me some tea. Something to calm my nerves."

Tina blinked, still shaken by the outburst but nodded quickly, eager to please. "Of course, Luna. I'll fetch it right away." She curtsied and backed out of the room, the door clicking shut behind her.

Alone again, Katelyn allowed herself to think. She couldn't simply accept Bellatrix as part of her husband's life and she couldn’t give the breeder a chance to take over what belonged to only Katelyn.

The Luna had to get rid of her, and quickly. But she couldn’t simply kill the girl. People would know and that could make her look bad and ruin her reputation. No, she needed a better plan, a way to ensure her place was secure and unchallenged. Katelyn’s eyes suddenly brightened as she got an idea.

If Katelyn couldn’t kill the breeder herself, maybe she could get the Alpha to do it himself! Bellatrix was nothing more than a breeder—a vessel for a future heir. In Katelyn's eyes, the woman was dispensable, replaceable. If Katelyn could ensure that Bellatrix was to somehow fall out of favour, her presence would no longer threaten Katelyn's position.

A dark idea began to form, curling like smoke through Katelyn's thoughts. If Bellatrix could be made to appear infertile, it would be a simple matter for Alpha Killian to discard her. He would see her as a barren tree, a poor investment, and with no heir, her value would plummet to the gutters. Katelyn's lips curled into a cold, satisfied smile as she fantasized about how it would play out.

She would convince Bellatrix's maid, Victoria, to slip something into her food—something that would ensure Bellatrix could never conceive. It would have to be subtle, and undetectable, but Katelyn was confident she could find that kind of drug.

And when the time came, when Bellatrix failed to fulfil her sole purpose, Killian's anger would be unstoppable and merciless. He would be furious that he wasted his money on such a useless woman, and he would have no choice but to kill her immediately, leaving Katelyn's position untouched and her reputation pristine. The plan was perfect and the execution would be flawless.

And the best part was, no one would ever suspect Katelyn's involvement. She would remain the loyal wife, standing by her husband's side, while Bellatrix's life crumbled around her. A low chuckle left Katelyn's lips and the cold sound echoed softly in the quiet room. Katelyn felt so proud of herself for coming up with such a solution in that moment.

The thought of her plan in action was almost intoxicating. It was the perfect medicine for her wounded pride. Just then, the door opened again, and Tina entered, carrying a tray with a steaming cup of tea.

Her hands trembled slightly, but she kept her composure, setting the tray down gently on the table beside her mistress. "Here you are, Luna," Tina said softly. She kept her voice respectful but it was polluted by her nervousness.

Katelyn ignored her shivering maid and accepted the cup, only pausing to inhale the fragrant steam before taking a sip. The warmth spread through her, soothing her nerves and clearing her mind. She moaned. “Yes. This is just what I needed."

Tina nodded, relieved to see the Luna in a better mood. "Is there anything else I can do for you, Luna?" she asked tentatively. Katelyn shook her head, with that sinister smile still on her lips. "No, that will be all for now. You may go."

As Tina turned to leave, Katelyn watched her with a calculating gaze. There was much to be done, and she would need Tina to ensure everything went according to plan.

Once Tina had left the room and closed the door behind her, Katelyn settled back on the bed and sipped her tea. Bellatrix was a mere pawn in her game, a piece to be moved and sacrificed as needed. And Katelyn was determined to win this game, no matter the cost.

She set the cup down with a soft clink and a satisfied smile spread itself on her lips as she pictured the downfall of the breeder. Her plan was set in motion, and there was no turning back now. With her devious plan laid out and her path clear,

Luna Katelyn finally allowed herself to relax, confident in her ability to control her fate and secure her place as the only woman by Alpha Killian's side.
