The Beta of the Diamonds Claw Pack walked briskly through the winding halls of the pack house. His steps were confident and purposeful as they marched to fulfil the instruction given to him by the Alpha.
As the beta, it was his duty to ensure that the alpha's orders were executed smoothly and without delay, even though it might involve pissing off the most important and most powerful woman in the pack. The Luna. Today, the Alpha had instructed him to summon his wife, Luna Katelyn to see him. The Beta approached the Luna's door and braced himself for the drama he knew was waiting for him behind the door. He knocked firmly, and as expected, the door was opened by an auburn-haired maid with a stern expression. "Alpha has summoned the Luna to his rooms." He announced to the Luna's maid. "The Luna is unavailable," she said and her voice carried a note of finality in it. Thankfully, the Beta was already prepared for when this happened. The Beta crossed his arms, unfazed. "I am under strict instructions to make sure the Luna comes with me." He revealed but the maid just hissed and tried to shut the door in his face. The Beta's hand shot out to hold the closing door open. "Step aside woman," he commanded. When the maid hesitated, he shoved past her with ease, determined to fulfil his mission. The maid stumbled back with a shout, "Hey! Stop! You can't come in here!" she yelled but never tried to lay a finger on him. She knew better than to challenge a beta wolf. The Beta entered the room to find Luna Katelyn lounging comfortably on an oversized armchair, deeply engrossed in a novel. The afternoon sun streamed through the windows, illuminating her silver curls and highlighting the vivid cover of the book in her hands. She looked up with a start then her eyes narrowed into dangerous slits when she realized who had interrupted her. "How dare you barge into the Luna's room like this?!" she demanded, swiftly rising to her feet with fury. "Have you lost your senses, Beta? I could have your head for this sheer disrespect!" Tina, her maid ran behind him and apologized, bowing to her Luna. "I-I'm sorry Luna, it's my fault. I tried to stop him but he wouldn't listen." Katelyn glared at her maid. "What a useless numbskull! I should have both of you hanged for this!" She sneered and the maid cowered in fear. But the Beta remained unfazed. He had already grown accustomed to her sharp temper and her sharper threats over the years. But the one who sent him was greater and more terrifying than she was so he was not going to turn back now. "The Alpha has summoned you, Luna. It's important." Katelyn snorted, dismissing him with a wave of her hand. "You can tell him I'm busy," she said coolly, settling back into her chair. She picked up her book again, clearly intending to ignore his presence. The Beta sighed inwardly. He respected his Luna, but the Alpha permitted him to use any means necessary to bring her to him. With a quick motion, the Beta snatched the book from her hands, holding it high above his head where she couldn't reach it. "Apologies Luna, but you need to see him. Now." Katelyn's eyes flashed with anger. She couldn't believe the sheer audacity of this man. Did he really want to test her? Unfortunately for the Luna, she was shorter than the Beta, and no matter how she stretched, she couldn't retrieve the book. She considered using her werewolf strength but quickly dismissed the idea as she could accidentally rip her favourite dress, and she didn't want that. "Stop that! I order you to give me back my book," she demanded, with a mixture of authority and anger. "Not until you agree to follow me to see the Alpha," he replied calmly, still holding the book high up. With a huff, Katelyn turned and snatched another book from the nearby table. If he wanted that book, he could keep it. She wasn't about to be manipulated so easily. But to her shock and horror, Beta immediately snatched that one as well. He held both books up in the air as the Luna shot him a thunderous glare that could have decimated a village. "I can do this all day, Luna," he said with a hint of amusement in his eyes. "It's your choice." Realizing she had no choice, Katelyn growled in frustration. "Fine, I'll go," she relented, glancing longingly at her captured book. The Beta handed it back with a satisfied nod, and they left the room together. The walk to Alpha Killian's office was quiet, save for the almost stomping of the Luna's feet on the carpeted floor. It was obvious that Katelyn's mood was furious. When they finally entered the office, Alpha Killian looked up from his desk and sighed in relief. His expression softened at the sight of his wife. "Thank you, Beta," he said, dismissing the beta with a nod. Once the door was closed, Alpha Killian approached Katelyn, trying to bridge the gap between them. "Katelyn, my love," he began in a gentle and coaxing tone, "I know you're upset, but please give me a chance to explain." Katelyn folded her arms and turned away from him, pouting like a child who had been denied her favourite treat. "I don't want to hear it," she said stubbornly, her voice edged with the betrayal she felt. "You couldn't even wait another month to see if I'd get pregnant first, and you just went ahead to bring in a breeder. An ugly one at that!" Killian sighed, stepping closer. He gently turned her to face him. "Darling, I never actually planned to bring a breeder into our home. I was just visiting someone, when I stumbled upon the poor girl being sold at an auction by accident. I just wanted to help her." Katelyn raised an eyebrow, disbelief written all over her face. "You just happened to accidentally see her at an auction? And somehow, that led to you wanting to save her and bring her back as your breeder? How very convenient!" She snorted. Alpha Killian sighed. "I know how it sounds, but it's true. I saw Bellatrix being auctioned, and I felt an overwhelming urge to rescue her. She looked so lost and vulnerable." Katelyn barked a laugh and shook her head. "Do you really expect me to believe that? Do I look like one of those senseless numbskulls? It sounds like a lame excuse to me. Just admit it, Killian, you don't love me anymore. You're trying to replace me with her." Her voice cracked on the last words, and tears began to fall from her eyes. Alpha Killian's heart clenched at the sight of his wife in distress. He wrapped his arms around her, pulling her into a tight hug. "Katelyn, you know that that's not true. I love you more than anything. Please, believe me." He held her close, murmuring soft reassurances until she began to relax against him. Katelyn sniffed, wiping her eyes, but the tension between them had eased slightly. Killian gently lifted her chin, looking into her eyes with a tender smile. "I know I can be a lot sometimes, but I would never do anything to hurt you intentionally," he said softly. Katelyn looked at him and smiled. She could never stay angry with him for long, especially not when he looked so handsome and sincere. "Fine," she mumbled, finally meeting his gaze. "I'll believe you, for now." Killian chuckled softly, brushing a stray lock of hair behind her ear. "Thank you, my love," he said, leaning down to press a gentle kiss to her forehead. Katelyn unfolded her arms, finally allowing herself to relax completely. Killian's fingers traced soothing patterns on her back, and she melted into his touch, her earlier anger vanishing entirely. She tilted her head up to capture his lips with hers, and he groaned when he tasted her. The kiss deepened, and Katelyn's arms soon wound around his neck, pulling him closer, and Killian responded in kind, his hands roaming gently over her back. Katelyn sighed into the kiss and pressed her body against her husband, letting him know that she wanted him and she wanted him now. Alpha Killian would never refuse such an offer, so he swiftly lifted her and took her into his bedroom, where he laid her down and proceeded to slowly strip off her clothes. He peppered sweet kisses on her skin along the way. Katelyn couldn't take the teasing anymore, so she began to caress and touch him in places she knew would turn him on. Her plan worked and soon, he was nude and pushing into her ardently with the bed creaking as if in complaint regarding their lewd act. Their moans filled the air as they passionately rocked against each other, touching and kissing until they reached the peak of their pleasure and climaxed together. Later, as they lay entwined in each other's arms, Katelyn let out a contented sigh. "I suppose I'll have to get used to your noble impulses," she teased softly, tracing circles on Killian's chest. Killian chuckled and peppered kisses along her cheek and neck. "And I'll have to remember not to make decisions without consulting my wise Luna," he replied before pulling her closer. Katelyn smiled, feeling more at ease than she had in days. She felt assured that her Alpha would always choose her above anyone else, no matter what.Luna Katelyn's Chamber. ~~'~~ Luna Katelyn lay in her chamber, half-reclined on the plush bed. The soft material of her silk nightgown gently brushed against her skin causing her to let out a soft sigh. Her room was beautifully lit up by the flickering light of the scented candles scattered across the luxurious room. They cast a warm glow against her silver hair, the dark wood furniture and rich, velvet drapes. This was the picture of perfect luxury. Katelyn sighed again, as she replayed the sweet memories of her husband’s intimate touch. The memories of nights with Alpha Killian were something no woman could easily forget. They always hovered like a stubborn shadow, constantly teasing her mind until she was craving for more. Her fingers absentmindedly traced over her skin, as she replayed the way Killian's hands had explored her body. He was eager and passionate so each touch had provoked a raging flame of desire inside her. She closed her eyes, letting herself get lost in the m
The sun was beginning to set over the beautiful garden in the Alpha's compound. The vanishing light cast a warm golden glow over the beautiful, expensive flowers that were mostly imported from the most expensive parts of the world. The scent of blooming roses mingled with the earthy aroma of freshly watered soil, mixed with the gentle rustling of leaves to create a soothing symphony for many people who came here to seek privacy. The Royal Garden was a sanctuary of lovers to many or a hideout where people's secrets and crimes could be whispered without fear of being overheard. Tina, Luna Katelyn's maid, made her way to this very garden just as it was getting dark. Her footsteps were silent on the gravel as she moved with purpose. She was cautious and her eyes scanned every visible area for any signs of prying eyes. This meeting was very important, and the utmost discretion was needed. As she approached a secluded corner of the garden, she spotted Victoria, Bellatrix's maid, waiting
A week had elapsed, and Bellatrix had begun to look even better than she was at the auction. On the surface, she seemed to have become closer to her assigned personal maid, Victoria, who appeared to be sweet, deferential and subservient. However, Bellatrix kept her resolve in mind- To trust nobody but herself. She was in a place where she knew nobody and she had no family member left in this world to guide her or to reassure her.In a place like this, schemes were the order of the day and she was no fool to believe that the Luna would be genuinely happy with her presence and role as the royal breeder. She guessed the latter wasn't yet aware that she and the Alpha of this pack were bound by the mate bond.Although the Alpha hadn't yet accepted her as his mate yet; he definitely was disgusted by her appearance at the auction. Sigh, she couldn't blame anyone other than her ex-mate for her bad fate, at least this one didn't treat her badly. One morning, she asked Victoria if it was possib
It was evening.Today marked three months of Bellatrix's stay in the pack, never for once leaving her assigned residence nor did she see the Alpha who brought her here. The Luna had not paid a visit either and she was long sick of seeing the same faces every day. Kardita had stopped coming over two weeks back. Victoria had informed her that Kardita refused to spill the beans on why she refused to come.Bellatrix guessed it was probably the Alpha or the Luna behind it. She was more willing to believe that the latter was the case, after all, Victoria's secret actions were living proof that the Luna despised her and wanted her dead. The Alpha had promised her freedom if she could birth him a child. Not just a child- A healthy, robust, male child- A heir!He didn't want anything to do with a female child who would end up without his surname and legacy- she would belong to another man, to another household.Bellatrix sighed in despair whenever she remembered this. If she gave birth to a cu
"Welcome back, Alpha," the Delta greeted."What's the latest buzz? Any persons tired of living made trouble?" Alpha Killian questioned as he took majestic strides, making a turn in the spacious hallway.Behind him was his Beta, Cayne Sebastian, dutifully following his ruler, holding a large, ancient-looking black book in his hand. The glasses resting on the bridge of the Alpha's nose seemed to be eager to accentuate his beauty, who could look at him and not feel a flutter in their hearts?Unfortunately, there was no smile spreading his lips, his aura was an inch away from being suffocating. But the two men with him were long used to it. An Omega would be cowering and shaking like a leaf by now.The Alpha had decided to pay a visit to two packs- Gray Night and Hellbound. The latter received the brunt of his rage. The newly enthroned Alpha of that pack, Vilian Grent, was a total moron; His head was full of nothing but beauties and enjoyment. In terms of scheming and business, he was com
Bellatrix was left in a daze after being thrown to the hard ground in the pack’s square. How and why was this happening? She hadn’t even fully recovered from the effect of that leaf she ingested that day. And now, she was being punished. What did she do wrong? The guards walked away, their baleful auras retreating along with them. However, that didn’t mean she was by any means alone. While being dragged to this place, she had tried to put up some resistance, even though she knew she was no match for even one of the two bulky pack guards. Her cries, pleading her innocence naturally attracted quite a number of pack members. The power of gossip also manifested and before long, almost everyone knew what was going on. And without solicitation, they left whatever they were doing and gathered around the pack square. Now they could see her. Their Alpha’s chosen Breeder! They’d being speculating for the past few months about how the unknown woman would look like. Not everyone saw her when
Bellatrix's words of fury laced with nice amounts of insults shocked the crowd and riled the person it was directed to. "Oh, dear, you will regret ever saying those words to me, you filthy omega," the blonde female was of Upsilon descent. Her eyes glowed a pink color and her canines grew longer at the same time as her nails. Many became very interested in watching this fight... Or rather the impending doomed fate of this ugly and yet pompous Omega breeder before them. A child produced from her would be equally ugly as well. What did the Alpha even see in her, was the thoughts of most present tonight. Some ladies, or rather the upsilon's friends and well-wishers, cheered the blonde on."Rip her to shreds, Genaya!" "Tear her pride apart!" "Break her bones, girl. How dare she talk to you like that? She must be fucking tired of living!" In addition to the enraged blonde, there was also a blonde boy who had made his way over. His eyes were glowing a fuschia colour, but that was it. H
“And you, Breeder Bellatrix,” the Beta began.“You have caused harm to an original pack member and you, without permission, left your punishment to do something of your own interests. For that, you will be caned ten lashes. Let this serve as a lesson to you. The rest of you,” the Beta turned to the crowd. “…Disperse. There’s nothing to see here.”“Yes, my lord,” everyone in the crowd chorused and turned to leave, chatting in small voices.Bellatrix sighed, “Could you at least let me know why I was dragged here in the first place?” she asked the Beta.“You came out without permission. Without the Alpha’s orders. You’re lucky he was not in a bad mood today.” With that, he walked away.Bellatrix, at the guards’ order, lay on the ground on her belly and received the punishment she was to be granted. Afterwards, she struggled but successfully forced her body to get into a kneeling pose. The twins, by the guards’ orders, were made to kneel beside her. It wasn’t easy for the siblings to remai
Katelyn froze, his words sinking in with horrifying clarity. The implications were clear: he was considering removing her as Luna. The title she'd fought so hard to hold, the power and respect she had gained, all of it was hanging by a fragile thread. She tried to muster any remaining strength, but her exhaustion was overwhelming. Her voice broke as she whispered, "Please... don't take this away from me."Killian's face remained cold, unreadable. "You almost took something precious from me, Katelyn. You almost killed my mate and my chance of having a child, the one person I swore to protect above all else. Tell me, why should I show you any mercy?"Katelyn's eyes widened as she felt a crushing despair close in. She wanted to scream, to beg, but the weight of his anger was suffocating. Finally, she managed to croak, "What... what are you going to do to me?"Killian looked at her with a steely gaze, unyielding. "That will be decided in due time. Or perhaps I should let you go back insid
Alpha Killian sat in the dimly lit prison, dressed fully in white as if he was the angel of light. His unreadable gave, however, was fixed on the dark cell opposite him.Despite the poor and depressing condition of this place, the alpha was sitting on an exquisitely crafted chair, arms on the armrest. The memory of his Luna's brutal attack on Bellatrix hadn't faded from his mind. Just recalling the fact that Katelyn endangered his mate despite knowing their bond made his face finally show some emotion. Not a good one though. If the present guards standing some distance away from him in all directions, hands clasped behind their backs, felt uneasy with his sudden visit, then now they'd become quite afraid. His aura was suffocating. They knew the reason he was angry and he had a right to be so. But still, they were innocent souls here, the Alpha ought to withdraw his aura before all the oxygen in the area flee for good. One of the guards couldn't bear it and directly knelt and ultim
Some minutes later, Xoey came to the training grounds but unfortunately wasn't allowed entry. Undeterred, she kept yelling her mistress' name desperately, successfully getting the latter's attention. Bellatrix placed her half-finished bottle of water on the bench and ran towards the entrance, ignoring the two stern-looking guards stationed on each side of the black double bar gates."Breeder Bellatrix, you're not allowed to leave, nor is your maid allowed entry. No rules will be broken just because the Alpha let you train here," one of them, the jacked one on her right, a little taller than she was with a beard and moustache warned. The one on her left, although silent seemed to be of one mind with his fellow."I know that," Bellatrix said with a small smile. She and her maid were separated by the gate. "I brought you some cookies, My Lady," Xoey said excitedly."The breeder's already eaten," the tallest of the two guards spoke for the first time, drawing the ladies' attention."Th
5:38 am.~~~The fact that she seemed to be in a favoured situation and had someone dependable to look after her needs did mean the Alpha allowed her to be at ease. A couple of days prior, the Alpha had dispatched a woman of Psi lineage to drop off a sizable merlot-coloured box at the front of her home during the evening hours. With Xoey's assistance, she brought the box indoors, and upon opening it, they found hefty books embellished with intricate black vines intertwined with one another. There were about seventeen of these books with such vines acting as locks. She had been instructed (according to the accompanying note) to commence with a certain locked book that featured a lustrous golden brown cover and also devoid of a title, without assistance from anyone.Xoey simply helped to arrange the books on the new shelf that had been delivered a week before.Today was the first day of her reading the book. She had spent hours trying to find the perfect way to unlock the vines yester
Bellatrix lay on a red divan in the lounging area, by the orders of her mate of course. Even though this area was meant to be somewhat accessible to the public, at this moment, she was the only individual present aside from the employees. It was still the evening after Luna Katelyn's attack. Luckily for Bellatrix, she had come out of it mostly unharmed but the pack doctor had come to her residence to tend to her. She was about to doze off when she heard a knock. On opening the door, she found it was one of the Alpha's personal guards who had come to inform her that the Alpha wanted her at the Royal lounge. She wanted to decline but thought against it. She reasoned that the Alpha must be feeling a lot of emotions. She knew he didn't love her even though she was his mate. The one he loved was Katelyn but now the latter had messed up badly. Now the one he didn't love was the victim and the one he loved was in prison. She had heard some pack members whisper about the Luna's imprisonment
Luna Katelyn's heart pounded as she raced back in the direction of her residence in shock and horror at what she had just done. Her eyes kept darting around with fear, scared of seeing her husband, but she forced herself to keep running. She could see that people were staring at her, their expressions shifting from surprise to confusion, then to alarm at what they were seeing but she didn't care."Is that the Luna?" someone murmured behind her."Why's she running like that?" another voice echoed."What's happening?"She heard the whispers and the shocked gasps as she bolted past them, but she couldn't give a damn about that now, not after what she had just done.'How could I let myself do that? Why hadn't I controlled my damn temper!" Her thoughts spun wildly, her mind caught between anger at herself and sheer terror. The Alpha would know what she did, there was no doubt about it.She'd only remembered their connection a few seconds after she'd laid hands on Bellatrix, but it was alrea
The Alpha was close to the woods with his Beta who was now walking dutifully behind him, cracking jokes to lighten the latter's mood. An Alpha's job wasn't all glory behind the scenes. Many times, the Alpha stayed late into the night handling paperwork. He'd tell the Beta to go to his worried family and continue all by himself. When he was serious, he was a workaholic. The more stressed one is in human form, the more their wolf side would fight to come out for a run in the woods and the Alpha had abstained from shifting for heavens know how long. Before he started trying to gain some form of entertainment, even at other's expense, it meant he was losing it.If he didn't get to run today, heads could roll the next day."At least, a fake laugh for all my efforts, I would appreciate that," said the Beta as he overtook his ruler and stood in his path."We're not here for a comedy show. Plus, you are bad at humour. I'm this close to shifting right now. A part of me is wishing to charge in
(Same day)The Golden Pavillion,Royal Garden.2:19 pmPerched on a beautifully crafted wooden chair, Luna Katelyn was attired in a snazzy, thin-strapped, thigh-length, sequinned red gown adorned by dazzling gold jewellery from head to toe. With legs crossed, she was engrossed in a novel while Tina was positioned behind her, providing a soothing shoulder massage.A porcelain bowl brimming with small and round-shaped purple fruits sat on her lap and she leisurely picked some to consume. In contrast, outside the pavilion wreathed by the afternoon's sweltering heat, Evelyn, whose garments were soaked with sweat, was hoisting a big rock with her shaky hands raised. A pool of tears had long formed in her eyes but she tried to keep this pool locked within her eyelids. The Luna had commanded– a single tear mustn't escape. As for why she was being punished this way?According to Evelyn, the pill was successfully put into the breeder's food when she got the chance. She said she even recorded
Three days later.Alpha's office, Diamond Claws Pack. 9: 27 am. ... "You requested my presence, my King," the Gamma, Sergei Treyton, stated as he approached the Alpha, who was outfitted in a white shirt with rolled-up sleeves and black trousers."How are the newly shifted warriors faring?" the Alpha, focused on the names of the books on his shelf, asked his subordinate without looking at him.The Gamma shrugged as he responded, "This is just their first month. However, there are three among them who caught my eye,""Oh?" the Alpha raised a brow as he stopped his search and turned, "Kids these days are slothful. Out of 20, only three caught your eye. Should I, perhaps, pay them a visit tomorrow and train alongside them?""Alpha, the kids are doing their best." Sergei defended, "Everyone isn't the same,""But you said it already yourself, their best is not good enough. 3 out of 20 is a total fail, we both know that. I want at least half of these kids to be strong and fit for their f
