Leaving the office, Meera’s legs gave way and she almost fell.

“Careful!” Candice swiftly supported her and made her rest her weight on the wall.

A lone tear slipped down Meera’s eyes. It's been almost six months since her reputation was ruined, yet the pain and fear in her heart hasn't subsided.

All this while she was hiding behind the wall of thick makeup, she thought she had grown a thick skin, but now, she realized nothing had changed at all.

She still has mental breakdowns when they verbally attack her.

“Miss Ford, are you okay?”

Meera shook her head, she wasn't okay and couldn't lie about it.

“C – can I ever be able to defeat my fears?” her lips trembled.
