IMEELA

We got maybe two hours of sleep before Roman and Venus woke us up, telepathically relaying a situation that that we needed to deal with. Thankfully, they did just as we had asked them to and were keeping an eye on those who might need protection.

Jackson and I took off in a sprint, following our Hellhounds. People were eying us, but we paid them no mind.

My fury skyrocketed when I saw that a man had ripped a woman’s clothes right down the middle. Her eyes looked dead as if she had lost all hope and did not have it in her to keep fighting.

Fuck that. I would fight for her until she could do it on her own, and then I would stand beside her and keep fighting.

My aura wrapped around him and threw him against the wall. There was anger in his eyes as he tried to fight against my aura, but I did not even feel his resistance.

“You have one chance to explain what’s going on here,” I stated as calmly as possible.

My mates were just as furious and disgusted as I was right now. This

JACKSONI loved the way it sounded whenever I called her my Queen. She was that, even if she had not been born of a royal lineage. Imeela was my girl, my mate, and my Queen. Zeus felt the same exact way as well.‘You forgot to add my little biter to the list,’ he pointed out.He was right. She was also our little biter. Well, my little biter, just to keep the same sentiment going in the list. I knew that any thought of being Queen was squashed when the massacre happened. However, from the day that she decided to embrace her birthright, she had embraced it wholeheartedly. I had absolutely no doubt at all that she would make an amazing Queen who would not only embrace the role with everything in her but also bring great change during her reign. There were fifty of our Light Fae friends who would be staying here at the palace while we got everything situated. Then there were an additional fifty warriors from Valis’ coven who would be here for as long as we needed them. We also had our Ca

IMEELAZiyah had enlisted the help of scrubber Fae who thrived in keeping things clean. They were in absolute heaven when they came to the palace. Seventy-five of them decided to come and live here. They could change their sizes between typical human size and one foot tall. They also had wings so that they could reach the ceilings. This was where they found their happiness, so who were we to deny it to them?Ziyah had also been correct that their cousins would request residence in the forest. Fifty of them applied and were approved. Honestly, the surrounding woods had never looked quite as healthy or good as they do now. It was all thanks to the amazingly hard workers who resided on these premises. We had been at it for the past two weeks. None of us had shied away from the hard work.Transition was never easy, and we have had quite a few necessary instances of it. Luckily, idiots learned fairly quickly that we would not tolerate abuse of any kind. One guy might have had his dick rippe

IMEELA He was the picture of ease on the outside, but his nerves were coiled as tightly as a cobra on the inside. Something was going on here, and it had to do with her. I opened up all of my senses and saw the aura surrounding her. It was red, seductive, and enticing. She was a fucking succubus. I had never personally met one, but Emilio had taught me everything he knew about different supernatural species. Succubae was a classification instead of species. Any species could have them, whether that was vampire, demon, etc. However, they had a specific aura that could be used to ensnare either gender and entrance them. Many people mistakenly believed that it was a siren that did this, but those stories were all thanks to succubae sirens. ‘Find out who the Duke and Duchess of the Mariana coven are please,’ I requested of Felicia. We gestured for everyone to take a seat in a relaxed environment even if it was the furthest thing from being relaxed. I quickly wrapped my aura around Ja

JACKSON We were all sitting around the table and catching up. It was odd because it felt like no time had passed but also felt like plenty of time had passed. It turned out that the bassinet that they found and cleaned up had actually last belonged to Imeela. It had been passed down from child to child. Ours would be next whenever we decided to have a pup. I was proud of everything that had been accomplished here thus far. Everyone worked their asses off, us included. That had actually surprised many of them. However, it just showed them the type of people that we were – hard workers that did not mind getting dirty. There were quite a few people who volunteered to work in the kitchen. It made them happy and also supplied all of us with delicious food. It was a win any which way that you looked at it. That was the course of action that we took, asking people what they wanted their roles to be. Most of the time we could accommodate it, but sometimes we had to get creative. Mostly, e

IMEELA After dinner was consumed, everyone split up so that they could tour things that would interest them the most. Jackson’s parents took Mira and Kalen to tour the clinic. It made us incredibly happy to hear that they had finished it ahead of schedule so that it would be ready for her visit. Dillion and his younger sister, Trisha, were taken to the Royal library since it would have the bigger selection of artifacts and books. I was fine with them borrowing some as long as they swore to take care of them. The rest of us were heading towards the training rooms when all of a sudden Venus materialized and whined. “You’ve got to be kidding me,” I said in exasperation. I leaned my head against Jackson’s shoulder and breathed in his delectable scent to calm my nerves. He gave me whatever time I would need even if he was really curious about what Venus told me. “Venus insists that we need to go visit the succubus. She picked up lingering deception, which points to her being here for

  • Design of Fate   Chapter 66

JACKSON The succubus and her companion were both taken away to the Trelinin estate and held in their cells to protect the coven but also my mate. The fucker that sent the succubus went by the name of Bane. He was a trained assassin, which had worried the shit out of my mate. It was not for the own sake of herself, of course, but she was worried about all of our people. Ziyah had come and set additional protections in place due to the threat of Bane that was looming over us. It was possible that he might end up showing his face at the coronation, but it would be the worst mistake of his life if he did because I would destroy him where he stood for every ounce of pain that he inflicted on my mate. Speaking of Ziyah, she contacted us about a group of people that had been rescued from a mission that she had gone on. They were the victims of exotic traders. Think supernatural sex slave trade that had the corner market on what was considered to be exotic, meaning that they were either gi

  • Design of Fate   Chapter 67

IMEELAThe day had finally come…It was our coronation day. This was such a monumental moment, not only in our coven but our world as well. Too much had been destroyed. Too many people had been harmed. I was not naïve enough to believe that everything would be rainbows and sunshine after tonight, but it would at least be a step in the right direction.“Your dress is so pretty,” Nellie said.Nellie was one of our newest coven members. She had been saved from exotic traders and was the absolute sweetest person I had ever met. Sadly, she had no family to go back to, but she did now. Jackson and I had both decided that she would be the perfect addition to our family. So, Nellie was now our sister. Both of us agreed that it felt right.“Thank you. Do you think Jackson will like it?” I asked her as I looked in the mirror. The dress that had been designed for me was positively gorgeous, and I definitely felt like royalty in it.The ballgown had sequin lace motifs over sparkled tulle. JACKSON Theo rushed back inside the room and dramatically slammed the door behind him before opening it right back up. “What the fuck crawled up your ass?” I asked him. “Not sure what you do with your mate, but nothing goes up mine,” he shot back at me. His eyebrow raised up, as if to inquire whether or not I allowed anything up mine. My eyebrow matched his because he would not be getting that answer. “Fucking hell. No wonder she’s mated to you. You’re just as equally frustrating. Can you believe that she banned me from getting my girls simply because I made her aware that she wouldn’t be getting you right now?” My eyes flashed with amusement at that tidbit of knowledge, a proud grin stretched across my lips. I nodded because I could definitely believe that. That right there was my feisty girl. Theo obviously disliked my reaction and punched me in my shoulder. I feigned injury just to help placate him for the moment. It definitely worked. I knew that this night was hard for him

  • Design of Fate   Author's Note

To all of my amazing readers, I am happy to tell you that “Destined Alpha of Change” is now officially up on the app and ready to begin being read. Now, onto other important matters. First and foremost, I would like to thank you for how much support you have given me throughout these books. I love reading all of your comments, whether they were negative or positive, and use them to help shape the story as it evolves. Jackson and Imeela’s story was one story that I could not begin to write. I know that not everyone was thrilled during Theo’s story when Jackson took Brynn’s side after the rejection. However, it just showed the type of man that he was. The one who would help protect those who needed it, just like he did with Brynn. One thing that many of you had mentioned was that you enjoyed the species integration seen throughout this book and the Fated series. We will see the byproduct of that during the Legacies of Destiny series. Kalen’s story will be the first one, followed by

SNEAK PEEK – “DESTINED ALPHA OF CHANGE”– KALENLater on in life, I would look back and wonder how I survived what I willingly threw myself into.Visions led me down this path. They were warnings of what was to come. A single person was going to be the spark that ignited the fire that would destroy everything that I held dear. It would lead to countless graves. The peace that our world experienced would be wiped away, leaving nothing but pain and chaos in its wake. The only way to prevent this was for me to identify the supernatural that was aiding him. My visions only showed me this one path to potential success. Yes, I said potential. If I succeeded, then it would save everyone and everything. However, it could very well be my demise. The plan unfolded where I would create my own trap to catch his attention. It worked like a charm, and that was how I ended up in this make-shift dungeon cell. He really spent too much time watching B-rated horror films.I lost track of how long I had

EMILIOMy mind was a complete mess right now. I had a sleeping Princess cradled in my arms as I ran, searching for somewhere that was safe enough to rest.‘It is your duty to keep her safe. Run and do not look back. There will come a day when she returns here to avenge us, but it will be when she is older. We have every faith in you when it comes to protecting one of the most important gifts that we have ever been given and will never be able to express just how much we appreciate it. We have always loved you like a son, so let me give you one last piece of advice. Do not harbor guilt for leaving instead of fighting alongside the coven because you are protecting the future of our kind. That is the most important mission that has ever existed.’Those were his parting words. As much as he said not to harbor guilt… it was easier said than done. Instead of focusing on that, I focused on the fact that it was my duty as her personal bodyguard to always do what was necessary to protect her.J

  • Design of Fate   Bonus Chapter - Enter Lola

LOLAI had been different my entire life. Not being able to hear anything made life hard. That was why Mom taught me ASL and how to read lips. It did not always help, but it did help sometimes. Mom and Dad were my only sources of consistency, but even that did not last.We were always moving around. They never told me why, but I had the feeling that it was because of me. Dad was a special kind of vampire, and Mom was an Elemental dragon. I might be young, but I understood what that meant for me.Sadly, we could not outrun every danger. Vampires caught up with us. Mom and Dad fought them off with everything they had. They took down many of the vampires. Then something hit my head, and I blacked out. I came to and saw my parent’s dead bodies next to me.My heart broke because I was all alone now. They would never be able to tell me another bedtime story. I would never ride on Mom’s dragon form again. There would never be another opportunity to tell them that I loved them.Lost in my sadn

  • Design of Fate   Epilogue 2

JACKSON At the same conference as Epilogue 1 – I could not be any prouder of Lola as I watched her get everything prepared for her presentation. She worked her ass off to get to where she was at right now in life. Nothing held her back, and nothing slowed her down. It had been hard for her at first because she desired to be independent, but not everyone could communicate with her and vice versa. My amazing mate was the one who could break through her barriers and encourage her to get right back up. I had never seen Lola happier than when Ziyah had given her the hearing aids that she created for her years back. Lola was born deaf, so she never had the opportunity to hear people speak to her or around her. She never had the ability to listen to the sounds of nature. While she could not do anything for the second part, Ziyah had been able to fix it to where the words were picked up by the devices and then sent as a mindlink. A lot of attention to detail was found in how they worked.

  • Design of Fate   Epilogue 1

IMEELASix years later –I checked my appearance one last time just to make certain that I looked presentable for the supernatural conference that we were attending. The pencil dress came to my knees. The top was white with a notched neck and three-quarters sleeves. The bottom was black with strips of black and white crisscrossing the waist. My hair was pulled into a low side bun with my newly designed diadem.Honestly, I hated wearing the crown in public, which this conference was, but our normal diadems were not official enough, according to our Cabinet, so we designed new ones that were more official looking. They were more pronounced with the Precoza crest designed within it.I opted for a natural look with my makeup, so it just highlighted my features. Luckily, my mates did not care if I wore makeup or not because it was not something that I cared about either.“You look beautiful, Mom,” Zion said from behind me.I turned around and smiled at my handsome son. He was as tall and bu

  • Design of Fate   Chapter 94

IMEELAZiyah had called me earlier and said that she had something special for Lola that should help the most with her deafness.Lola was a blessing in disguise when we first met her. She had been through so much in her short life, but it proved that she was strong and resilient enough to soldier on and keep going. Her biggest hurdle in life was learning to navigate being deaf in a supernatural world. There were many shows and movies out there that show how easy it was to overcome that hurdle and still live a completely normal life. That might be how it worked for humans, but it was extremely dangerous for supernaturals. Our world was a chaotic one where we always had to look out for the dangers hiding in the shadows, waiting for the perfect opportunity to strike.Lola was so fucking strong that it made us incredibly proud of her. She had learned how to read lips with damn near perfect accuracy. She was also learning how to defend herself against any attack. Zion took it upon himself t

  • Design of Fate   Chapter 93

JACKSONThree years later –I chuckled as I watched Amira and Cyrus playing tag with Zion outside.Imeela rested her back against my chest. It was a very comfortable Spring with the sun shining down on us.Amira was a pro at this game already because of her gift. She could use her shield to essentially cloak her just like I could via casting. This, however, also hid her scent, breathing, and heartbeat. Thankfully, Ziyah was able to put a block on it so that we would always be able to find her even if she was cloaked.Emery was practicing her dance routine off to the side where she would not be in the way. The girl was really fucking talented. I had never liked ballet before, but I watched every routine she had and got swept away in the emotions that it evoked each and every time.Zion fell to his knees and gripped his head, crying out.We were next to him in an instant. Zion had a high pain tolerance. He broke his arm last year and did not scream or anything. He whimpered, but that was

  • Design of Fate   Chapter 92

JACKSONI was currently sparring with Santiago. He was a great opponent because his training and heritage really made him really fucking lethal when he wanted to be. Thankfully, he liked me enough to allow my continued breathing. It only took training with vampires for about four months before I could keep up with them entirely speed wise. Strength was a different matter because there was a biological difference between our species. However, sealing the bond with my girl gave me additional strength. I might not have been able to deck a vampire quite as hard as another one could, but it did not matter. I just had to be more strategic on when and where to hit. However, the blessing of strength that Hecate had given to me at the coronation and also the boost from being crowned King put me as close as possible to being at the level of vampires. My fist connected in an uppercut, causing Santiago to fly up and backwards with his ass landing on the ground. He just laid there, panting heavily.
