JACKSON

The succubus and her companion were both taken away to the Trelinin estate and held in their cells to protect the coven but also my mate.

The fucker that sent the succubus went by the name of Bane. He was a trained assassin, which had worried the shit out of my mate. It was not for the own sake of herself, of course, but she was worried about all of our people.

Ziyah had come and set additional protections in place due to the threat of Bane that was looming over us. It was possible that he might end up showing his face at the coronation, but it would be the worst mistake of his life if he did because I would destroy him where he stood for every ounce of pain that he inflicted on my mate.

Speaking of Ziyah, she contacted us about a group of people that had been rescued from a mission that she had gone on. They were the victims of exotic traders. Think supernatural sex slave trade that had the corner market on what was considered to be exotic, meaning that they were either gi

Part one of Coronation Night. Imeela's POV is up next. I would absolutely love it if my lovelies would consider going to the main page of this book and leaving a review behind of what they've thought about Jackson and Imeela's story thus far.

IMEELAThe day had finally come…It was our coronation day. This was such a monumental moment, not only in our coven but our world as well. Too much had been destroyed. Too many people had been harmed. I was not naïve enough to believe that everything would be rainbows and sunshine after tonight, but it would at least be a step in the right direction.“Your dress is so pretty,” Nellie said.Nellie was one of our newest coven members. She had been saved from exotic traders and was the absolute sweetest person I had ever met. Sadly, she had no family to go back to, but she did now. Jackson and I had both decided that she would be the perfect addition to our family. So, Nellie was now our sister. Both of us agreed that it felt right.“Thank you. Do you think Jackson will like it?” I asked her as I looked in the mirror. The dress that had been designed for me was positively gorgeous, and I definitely felt like royalty in it.The ballgown had sequin lace motifs over sparkled tulle. The base

JACKSON Theo rushed back inside the room and dramatically slammed the door behind him before opening it right back up. “What the fuck crawled up your ass?” I asked him. “Not sure what you do with your mate, but nothing goes up mine,” he shot back at me. His eyebrow raised up, as if to inquire whether or not I allowed anything up mine. My eyebrow matched his because he would not be getting that answer. “Fucking hell. No wonder she’s mated to you. You’re just as equally frustrating. Can you believe that she banned me from getting my girls simply because I made her aware that she wouldn’t be getting you right now?” My eyes flashed with amusement at that tidbit of knowledge, a proud grin stretched across my lips. I nodded because I could definitely believe that. That right there was my feisty girl. Theo obviously disliked my reaction and punched me in my shoulder. I feigned injury just to help placate him for the moment. It definitely worked. I knew that this night was hard for him

IMEELA A life of luxury… Where in the hell did anyone get that impression? Sure, I had lived the equivalent of it since meeting Jackson than I had in the decade beforehand. “What is your name?” I asked as calmly as possible. I held my hand up to stop Santiago who was beginning to move closer just in case anything was to happen. It was in the Mayloni’s DNA to protect whomever they pledged themselves to. There was no telling if this man was a threat or not, so it was second nature for them to be on the defensive. “Lord Coriolanus Pavlo,” he said, standing up, and taking a proud stance. He was much older than I was, but I would not back down or show weakness to anyone. I had dealt with far bigger threats than this man. He looked somewhat familiar, but I could not put my finger on why. Had he come to see my parents when I was a child? I would figure it out later because I had bigger concerns. “Lord Pavlo, I am not certain where you got your information from, but I can assure you th

  • Design of Fate   Chapter 70

JACKSONZeus and I wanted nothing more than to slowly torture both Bane and the fucker who decided it was a brilliant idea to shoot our mate. I would not allow either of them to get away easy after all of the pain that they had inflicted on her.Hecate kissed Imeela’s forehead before kissing mine too. Immeasurable warmth filled my entire being, and I felt a burst of strength.‘I have blessed both you and your wolf with additional strength so that you can continue protecting those who need it just like you protected my warrior time and again.’She stepped backwards and surveyed the crowd one last time before she flashed away.Xylern took both of the fuckers and popped away to put them in the cells. I pushed them out of my mind because tonight was about more important things.“Are there any further objections or are we free to actually begin the coronation?” she asked, adding just a hint of amusement to relax everyone. That was precisely what was needed as most chuckled in response. • Design of Fate   Chapter 71

IMEELA Everyone definitely outdid themselves with all of the amazing decorations for tonight. A DJ, dance floor, a delicious buffet, and plenty of seating. The area was set up with a variety of Fae light orbs to give it plenty of lighting while also being very appealing to the eyes. Jackson and I were taking advantage of the dance floor. We were not the only ones either. I loved how great it felt to be held in his arms like this. I looked to the side and saw Dante and Ziyah dancing as well. I bit my lip as I tried to envision what they would say to our proposal of a certain idea. ‘Do you think they’ll accept?’ I asked my mate. He used his thumb to smooth out the wrinkle on my forehead. The sweetest smile graced his face. His eyes dipped down to my lips before he reluctantly pulled his attention back up to my eyes. We would have plenty of time together later when it was just the two of us. I definitely wanted to treat him like the King that he was. That King was mine after all. A

  • Design of Fate   Chapter 72

JACKSON What a crazy fucking night… At least it was a story that we could tell our pups one day. Oh well. The craziness was over with, and now I had my delicious mate in my grasp. I had to share her all fucking night, but the only one that I would share her with right now was Zeus, which he agreed with. We had been putting our own personal touch on this magnificent suite. It had brought my girl so much happiness when Cali showed us the things that people had been able to secure from her family. She did not know yet, but Ziyah would be creating pictures from her memories. It was just like what she had done with the memory cube. Vampire hearing was far more sensitive than our hearing, therefore their soundproofing was of the highest quality. That helped since Nellie had moved into her own room in the suite. There was no way that my little mate would ever be able to keep her voice down when she was drowning in her own ecstasy. I loved how vocal she was about her pleasure both verball

  • Design of Fate   Chapter 73

IMEELA My mates did not disappoint me at all with their thorough worshipping. If I did not know that I had been the only person that Jackson had been with then I never would have guessed it. There was an art to his seduction and the way that he could command my body, making it sing to the tune that he desired. Jackson was always so calm, cool, and collected. However, it was such a magnificent sight when he let loose and lost that control in the bedroom. It was like his passion for me was all-consuming. That was an amazing thing to know. I was not someone with an ego, not generally, but I did feel smug about that. The first thing that we did when we pulled ourselves out of bed was to go for a run. Zeus was even faster now and kept up with my top speed. It made sense though because just like my mother had gained the same speed as a Precoza after coronation, so did they. I would venture a guess that Jackson’s fighting speed would be similar too, but I was not entirely certain since h

  • Design of Fate   Chapter 74

JACKSON The uptake in his heartbeat gave him away. I had seen the almost familiarity when Bane stepped up beside him, but I did not think much of it at the time. Was she recognizing him from those three weeks in Bane’s torture camp? He better pray that it was not or else he would learn the true meaning of torture. “I’ll give you one chance to spare some of the pain you’ll receive. What’s your real name, and what coven are you from?” she asked him in that same calm voice. That voice might make these idiots believe that they were not in danger, but it was actually quite the opposite. It was when she had that specific calmness that she was coiled tight, waiting for the perfect moment to strike. He was obviously a complete idiot because he just looked defiantly at her. Either he did not believe she would do anything or refused to give her the upper hand. Well, she did have the upper hand, so he would not be able to give it. She picked up a dagger and slowly walked around the table u

  • Design of Fate   Author's Note

To all of my amazing readers, I am happy to tell you that “Destined Alpha of Change” is now officially up on the app and ready to begin being read. Now, onto other important matters. First and foremost, I would like to thank you for how much support you have given me throughout these books. I love reading all of your comments, whether they were negative or positive, and use them to help shape the story as it evolves. Jackson and Imeela’s story was one story that I could not begin to write. I know that not everyone was thrilled during Theo’s story when Jackson took Brynn’s side after the rejection. However, it just showed the type of man that he was. The one who would help protect those who needed it, just like he did with Brynn. One thing that many of you had mentioned was that you enjoyed the species integration seen throughout this book and the Fated series. We will see the byproduct of that during the Legacies of Destiny series. Kalen’s story will be the first one, followed by

SNEAK PEEK – “DESTINED ALPHA OF CHANGE”– KALENLater on in life, I would look back and wonder how I survived what I willingly threw myself into.Visions led me down this path. They were warnings of what was to come. A single person was going to be the spark that ignited the fire that would destroy everything that I held dear. It would lead to countless graves. The peace that our world experienced would be wiped away, leaving nothing but pain and chaos in its wake. The only way to prevent this was for me to identify the supernatural that was aiding him. My visions only showed me this one path to potential success. Yes, I said potential. If I succeeded, then it would save everyone and everything. However, it could very well be my demise. The plan unfolded where I would create my own trap to catch his attention. It worked like a charm, and that was how I ended up in this make-shift dungeon cell. He really spent too much time watching B-rated horror films.I lost track of how long I had

EMILIOMy mind was a complete mess right now. I had a sleeping Princess cradled in my arms as I ran, searching for somewhere that was safe enough to rest.‘It is your duty to keep her safe. Run and do not look back. There will come a day when she returns here to avenge us, but it will be when she is older. We have every faith in you when it comes to protecting one of the most important gifts that we have ever been given and will never be able to express just how much we appreciate it. We have always loved you like a son, so let me give you one last piece of advice. Do not harbor guilt for leaving instead of fighting alongside the coven because you are protecting the future of our kind. That is the most important mission that has ever existed.’Those were his parting words. As much as he said not to harbor guilt… it was easier said than done. Instead of focusing on that, I focused on the fact that it was my duty as her personal bodyguard to always do what was necessary to protect her.J

  • Design of Fate   Bonus Chapter - Enter Lola

LOLAI had been different my entire life. Not being able to hear anything made life hard. That was why Mom taught me ASL and how to read lips. It did not always help, but it did help sometimes. Mom and Dad were my only sources of consistency, but even that did not last.We were always moving around. They never told me why, but I had the feeling that it was because of me. Dad was a special kind of vampire, and Mom was an Elemental dragon. I might be young, but I understood what that meant for me.Sadly, we could not outrun every danger. Vampires caught up with us. Mom and Dad fought them off with everything they had. They took down many of the vampires. Then something hit my head, and I blacked out. I came to and saw my parent’s dead bodies next to me.My heart broke because I was all alone now. They would never be able to tell me another bedtime story. I would never ride on Mom’s dragon form again. There would never be another opportunity to tell them that I loved them.Lost in my sadn

  • Design of Fate   Epilogue 2

JACKSON At the same conference as Epilogue 1 – I could not be any prouder of Lola as I watched her get everything prepared for her presentation. She worked her ass off to get to where she was at right now in life. Nothing held her back, and nothing slowed her down. It had been hard for her at first because she desired to be independent, but not everyone could communicate with her and vice versa. My amazing mate was the one who could break through her barriers and encourage her to get right back up. I had never seen Lola happier than when Ziyah had given her the hearing aids that she created for her years back. Lola was born deaf, so she never had the opportunity to hear people speak to her or around her. She never had the ability to listen to the sounds of nature. While she could not do anything for the second part, Ziyah had been able to fix it to where the words were picked up by the devices and then sent as a mindlink. A lot of attention to detail was found in how they worked.

  • Design of Fate   Epilogue 1

IMEELASix years later –I checked my appearance one last time just to make certain that I looked presentable for the supernatural conference that we were attending. The pencil dress came to my knees. The top was white with a notched neck and three-quarters sleeves. The bottom was black with strips of black and white crisscrossing the waist. My hair was pulled into a low side bun with my newly designed diadem.Honestly, I hated wearing the crown in public, which this conference was, but our normal diadems were not official enough, according to our Cabinet, so we designed new ones that were more official looking. They were more pronounced with the Precoza crest designed within it.I opted for a natural look with my makeup, so it just highlighted my features. Luckily, my mates did not care if I wore makeup or not because it was not something that I cared about either.“You look beautiful, Mom,” Zion said from behind me.I turned around and smiled at my handsome son. He was as tall and bu

  • Design of Fate   Chapter 94

IMEELAZiyah had called me earlier and said that she had something special for Lola that should help the most with her deafness.Lola was a blessing in disguise when we first met her. She had been through so much in her short life, but it proved that she was strong and resilient enough to soldier on and keep going. Her biggest hurdle in life was learning to navigate being deaf in a supernatural world. There were many shows and movies out there that show how easy it was to overcome that hurdle and still live a completely normal life. That might be how it worked for humans, but it was extremely dangerous for supernaturals. Our world was a chaotic one where we always had to look out for the dangers hiding in the shadows, waiting for the perfect opportunity to strike.Lola was so fucking strong that it made us incredibly proud of her. She had learned how to read lips with damn near perfect accuracy. She was also learning how to defend herself against any attack. Zion took it upon himself t

  • Design of Fate   Chapter 93

JACKSONThree years later –I chuckled as I watched Amira and Cyrus playing tag with Zion outside.Imeela rested her back against my chest. It was a very comfortable Spring with the sun shining down on us.Amira was a pro at this game already because of her gift. She could use her shield to essentially cloak her just like I could via casting. This, however, also hid her scent, breathing, and heartbeat. Thankfully, Ziyah was able to put a block on it so that we would always be able to find her even if she was cloaked.Emery was practicing her dance routine off to the side where she would not be in the way. The girl was really fucking talented. I had never liked ballet before, but I watched every routine she had and got swept away in the emotions that it evoked each and every time.Zion fell to his knees and gripped his head, crying out.We were next to him in an instant. Zion had a high pain tolerance. He broke his arm last year and did not scream or anything. He whimpered, but that was

  • Design of Fate   Chapter 92

JACKSONI was currently sparring with Santiago. He was a great opponent because his training and heritage really made him really fucking lethal when he wanted to be. Thankfully, he liked me enough to allow my continued breathing. It only took training with vampires for about four months before I could keep up with them entirely speed wise. Strength was a different matter because there was a biological difference between our species. However, sealing the bond with my girl gave me additional strength. I might not have been able to deck a vampire quite as hard as another one could, but it did not matter. I just had to be more strategic on when and where to hit. However, the blessing of strength that Hecate had given to me at the coronation and also the boost from being crowned King put me as close as possible to being at the level of vampires. My fist connected in an uppercut, causing Santiago to fly up and backwards with his ass landing on the ground. He just laid there, panting heavily.
