Jayden’s POV

I woke up to see Jovita watching me, her hands in my hair. I'd come to love the feel of them there.

“Good morning”, she said shyly.

“Morning”.

I stood up from the bed, searching where I had flung my pants last night. Once again I had a peaceful night's rest in her arms. I could never get used to this.

“Are you leaving already?” She blinked her eyes shyly, I could see she was unsure of what to say and her thoughts were still filled with the events of last night. Her innocence warmed me.

“Would you prefer I go down with you for breakfast, or take that off and continue from where we stopped last night”.

She gulped, holding onto the sheets she was using to cover her gorgeous body. God knows if I wasn't in a hurry this morning, I would have gladly covered the distance between us and ripped them off.

“Umm…I thought maybe you would, you…know, want something too”.

I laughed softly as I realized what she was talking about.

“Now no, but in the future, hell yes!”

“Okay”, she replied

Jovita's POV I laid down on the mat Maddie had spread, staring at the other students as they ran and played around the ghost beach.I was surprised when Maddie informed me that Jacob, one of the school hotties, was throwing a party here, and we were invited. It was unusual to have people throw parties on this particular beach. They rarely came near here at all. It had many ghost stories that kept people away.“Why so grumpy Jovie?” Anne asked, passing me a sandwich.“She's scared of seeing a ghost”, Maddie said laughing loudly. She had been taunting me with those words since I had told her I was having an ominous feeling about this party.A group of handsome boys walking by turned to stare at us with amusement on their faces. They winked at us, blowing kisses. “Gosh the one with the wavy, black hair is so beautiful”, one of them said, staring directly at me, a seductive smile on his face.“She's taken. You don't want to be on Jayden's bad side”, his friend said, laughing.“Oh my, sh

  • Descendant of the moon goddess.   Come back?

Jayden's POV I shut my eyes as the plane took off, headed for France. It's been just a few months since I left home, but it felt like ages, and surprisingly, I had missed it.As much as I tried to prevent it, my mind kept drifting back to Jovita. I wondered what she was doing, and hoped she was fine.Seth, Phil, and Conan had promised to watch over her while I was away. Though I didn't like the idea of Seth being with her, people were known to go the extra mile to protect the ones they cherished the most, and in this case, it was Jovita. My wolf growled inside my head, and I chuckled. It was surely one hell of a jealous mate.I felt like an incompetent person, leaving her at a time when she was currently being hunted by an obsessed vampire.I wondered why my father had summoned me anyway. It had better be for a good reason.“We'd have a glass of red wine and whatever nice you have to go with it”, Eric said, winking at a pretty air hostess hovering over us.I hadn't even realized she

  • Descendant of the moon goddess.   Alone!

Jovita's POVI felt my eyelids burn as I tried to open them. I wasn't yet sure where I was, but I was breathing so it meant I was on land. I could hear the sound of the roaring waves, so I was still close to the sea. What had happened? Had I been washed to the bank? A flicker of hope filled me.When I managed to open my eyes, I saw I was at the bank of the sea, but not the bank in Forktown.Fear gripped me as I observed my surroundings. I was surrounded by a thick forest, and the sun was beginning to set. I was cold, hungry, and alone with no means of communication. I was finally going to die, but never imagined it would be on an unknown eerie beach, alone.I felt sobs build in my chest, and I tried to fight the tears that ran down my cheeks. I had no idea what I was meant to do.“I see you're awake, I was scared the water had left a stronger impact, but thankfully it didn't”, a familiar voice said among the trees.I scrambled to my feet both glad and terrified to have company. Though

  • Descendant of the moon goddess.   I kicked his groins...

Jovita's POVI watched as the intruder covered the gap between us, and without thinking, I flung my arms at him. I was shocked to him hit one of the nearby trees. I hadn't even touched him. Was this the power they have been talking about? The intruder looked shocked, I guess he had expected me to be defenceless like the last time.“I had wanted to go easy on you, but I see that can hardly be the case here”, he muttered with a dark smile on his face.In a blink of an eye, he was in front, lifting me by my neck, his hands tightening around me with a scary force.I struggled to breathe, trying to break from his hold. If he kept up with what he was doing, my head would be rolling on the floor any moment from now.I felt tears starting to pour down my cheeks as I neared my last moment. With the last strength I had in me, I kicked his groins with the amount of force I could muster. He let out a groan, relieving me immediately, as he held on to his trousers, writhing in obvious agony.I swip

  • Descendant of the moon goddess.   She had chosen me!

Jayden’s POV I shut my eyes in anger as I squeezed the steering of my white speed boat. The image of Jovita's bleeding body was still stuck in my head. The vision had been one of the clearest I've had in years.I had left my father's house when I had the vision, turning a deaf ear to my father's angry threats. Eric had stayed behind to pacify him and was going to join me later.I wasn't sure I was strong enough to face Uriel yet, but the bastard had laid his hands on my mate. I was so going to rip his throat out.I increased the boat’s speed. I was already driving at a terrifying speed, but I couldn't care less. I cursed myself for leaving her behind with that monster trailing over her.If I had been with her, nothing like this would happen. I was such an incompetent mate!Relief washed me as I spotted the forest trees at the beach. I had never known a place like this existed in Forktown.Seth had been vague, explaining that he, Conan, and Phil had gone to grab a drink. When they ret

  • Descendant of the moon goddess.   What did he just say?

Jovita's POVI woke up feeling a light headache, but nothing more. I checked my arms and thighs but there were no injuries, not even a single scar.Had the entire event been a dream? What was happening?I heard Jayden’s footsteps approaching the room, and the memories of what Uriel had said at the beach burned in my head. Why had he been lying to me? I couldn't wrap my head around the reason. I had come to love him, to be at peace with him, to share my secrets with him, and I had thought I knew him until now. I was more pissed than I thought. I knew nothing about my mate. Was his name even Jayden?“Hey, how're you doing?” Jayden asked when he opened the door. He stood there shifting his weight from one foot to the other, his hands in his pocket. I could tell he was nervous. Well, he ought to be!“Better”, I mumbled, I was not yet ready to speak to him.“Do you need anything or do you feel any pain…Um, I h…ealed all your injuries, but you might still hurt a little. So he could heal to

  • Descendant of the moon goddess.   For the rest of my life...

Jayden’s POVI hadn't meant the words to come out, but now they were out, I meant them with every fibre in my bone.I knew I loved Jovita, I had always known, but I never dared to say it, but now I did.I didn't care what my Dad or the pack said, I was going to keep her by my side.“Did you mean it…did you mean those words Jayden?” I stared into her eyes, as I slowly uttered the words again. Words I had never uttered to anyone since after my mom's death.“I love you Jovita”.“I love you too Jayden. I had always known I loved you, but I was scared you'd never share my feelings”. Her lovely face spoke more volumes of her feelings than her words.I stood stunned for a while. Did she just say those words to me? I was probably dreaming right now. I couldn't remember the last time I heard someone say they loved me, and it felt good. Before I could say anything else, her soft lips arrested mine, catching me off guard. It was usually the other way around. Looks like my Jovita was growing muc

  • Descendant of the moon goddess.   I could never get enough of her.

Jayden's POV When we reached the room, I carefully placed her on the bed, going back to lock the door securely. Eric was out with the boys, hunting for Uriel, while I stayed with her. I had made a promise to Jovita, and I planned to keep it. “The next time he lays a hand on you, I'll have his head”. I was going to have his head this time.Anyways, Eric sauntered into my room as he pleased, and I didn't appreciate him coming in when Jovita and I were in bed. That solved, I went back to the bed, took off my dark blue shirt, and tossed it to the floor. I did the same with my shorts.I turned to stare at Jovita, and as usual, she was watching me. Her turquoise eyes were dark with desire. Man, she knew how to turn me on!I climbed into bed, taking her shorts off and bringing her to straddle on my lap. The softness of her bare thighs on mine made my groins harden more. My boxers were starting to get uncomfortably tight.I took off the sweater she was wearing and gasped at how hot and beaut

I'm dressing up to go and join Jayden and the others on the battlefield. Things are getting tougher for them. This whole fight, as much as I hate to admit it, it's all because of me. If Jayden hadn't chosen to be with me, then all this won't be happening. I can't let anyone die because of me. Not anymore.“I'm going to join the others”, I say to Maddie, packing my hair in a high bun.“You’re not going anywhere”, Maddie replies, planting herself in front of me. Betty and Anne went along with the boys to fight, while Maddie stayed behind to protect me.It was agreed I wouldn't fight because of my supposed pregnancy and the fact that I was the major reason the fight was happening in the first place. Killing me would be the best way to win.“I have to help, they're all out there risking their life because of me”, I say to Maddie.“They're n

Jayden’s POV“Are you ready?” Draco asks me.We're standing head-to-head with our opponents. It's time to fight. We're all in our wolf form, waiting for the battle line to be drawn. My uncle is visibly the largest wolf among us, though I'm slightly close to his size since I have two wolves. My Dad who insisted on fighting with us is standing a few feet from us. He is a warrior white wolf so he is almost up to my size. My pack’s council starts to walk towards us. They stop just a stone's throw from us. They're three extremely old great whites that have lived for probably a hundred years. They're revered and feared by all.“I see you went to join your son, Edward”, Castiel, one of the trio says. He is a handsome, well-built man, looking very much like he just reached his fifties. He is the leader of the trio.“He is my blood, and I believe he has a right to choose his love”, my father replies.“The pack comes before love”, Marcus says. He looks a bit older than Castiel.“I've always th

He asked me to leave, so why is he asking for me now?My uncle walks outside his castle to a black Phantom parked in front of the building.“Get in”, he orders, taking the wheel.“Where are we going?” I ask.“To see your mother”, he replies.By going to see my mom, my uncle meant going to see my mother's grave. He took her body that day, seven years ago, and he never let us see her again.“Why are you suddenly letting me visit her?” I ask, trying to control the emotions raging inside me.“Because she has been asking of you. She won't let me rest if I don't help you, so I don't have a choice. My uncle runs his hands through his black long hair as he starts the car.“Does she speak to you?” I ask after a while.“Yes. I suddenly feel shy as his eyes wash over me, and I move my hands to cover my body.Jayden sits up and grabs my wrist, planting them on either of my sides. “Don't you ever try to cover your body, not from me”, he says with seriousness in his voice.“I’m just a little bit shy”, I say with a nervous chuckle.“You don't have to be. There are many things I want to do to you, Jovita”, he whispers in my ears, climbing on top of me, his weight supported by his hands. He is in a push-up position. His wet hair drips on my face, and I squirm, laughing. He places a soft kiss on my face before his hands start to explore my body. We haven't been this close since forever, and it feels good to hold him again.“It's fine, Jayden. You have to stop blaming yourself for your mother's death. You aren't the creator, and it was all bound to happen”, I whisper.“If only I had stopped her, things would have been so different”, Jayden replies.“It's the past now, and she would want you to let go of the guilt. She would want you to be happy”.“I don't deserve to be happy, Jovita”.“Of course you do”.“Everything I touch burns. Everyone around me gets heartbroken”.“You know that's not true”.“It's true, Jovita. I'm too shy to go out there to meet him in only a bra and panties. So I wear Jayden's shirt. I can't help but admire how his shirt smells like the rich cologne and the lovely smell I can only describe as Jayden. When I reach the pool, Jayden is already in the water. I can see water falling from his black hair. He smiles and pushes his hair back with one hand, his eyes twinkling with surprise.“Are you going to swim in that?” He asks, his eyes darkening as they take in my body. Impulsively, I tug at the bottom of his black T-shirt, trying to push it as far as it would go.“Yes”, I reply to his question feeling stupid. What was I so shy about? We've slept together about five times now.“Come on, are you shy, mate?” Jayden says, laughing.“I don't know”. I feel helpless right now.Jayden takes his bottom lips between his teeth, and I can s

I can't bear that”.“It's you I'm choosing no matter what”, I say to Jovita, taking her hands.“Jayden?” Jovita whispers, her eyes glossy from the tears that are building up.“Please don't refuse me, Jovita.
