The Reality of the Wave

Reus had exhausted himself. As the young water mage has been repeatedly rung dry over the last week, he has expended every ounce of mental effort until his mind feels like it is on fire and blood is oozing out of his eyes.

In spite of his distress, the legionnaire in charge of his squad merely gave him a cold gaze and ordered him to rest for a while. In his five minutes of free time, he would have relaxed in the mana pool in the camp before going back into formation to help the others.

As it was the first time Reus had ever defended a wave, he wasn't sure what he'd seen was normal or not. However, what he'd seen in the wave had drastically altered his perception of the dungeon...

This was his first time experiencing dungeons where these many lives were lost; it was not like any other time.
